Came in 7pm New Year's Day. 2nd time ordering (to-go) from them and chicken was still very much enjoyable. Highly recommend trying this place. We had soy garlic and the mambo sauce--liked the soy garlic better. Very crispy Also the drink I got was better than expected. I would recommend. The place has a small sit down area and 2 machines to self-order but staff are there and helpful if you have any questions.

I got the 4 wings and 3 drumsticks combo with the soy garlic sauce. The sauce was on a sweeter side, not very garlicky but the chicken was juicy and good for the price. I would probably get another sauce though. I also got a Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea, half of it was boba (might be too much boba) and not too sweet so it was very good. The popcorn chicken was also good but make sure to ask for sauce with it. It's more like a takeout shop and not suitable for big group. Highly recommend for a quick snack/meal!

The fries are uniquely seasoned and although most people might not be accustomed to it, I think it adds the magic touch to the crispy fries.

Thus, today it was simply a Taichi Milk Tea with Boba. Please do not quote me on this, but it seems they use a special kind of milk? Whatever the case, the result was delicious! The tea and milk flavors were both noticeable but not overwhelming or overpowering in any way. Excellent amount of 'bite' from the tea and savory/creamy notes from the milk. The sugar and ice levels in the default beverage were on-point as well! I often find myself having to specify "less sugar" and "less ice". While such customizations are built into the menu, it's lovely that the base isn't gobs of ice and sugar. The boba was fine, nothing to write home (on Yelp?) about here. The vibe inside is lovely. It is wood, black and splashes of color. The service was polite and speedy (though to be fair - it wasn't very busy at the time). While I am not yet local to Chicago, I will be in a few months. When this happens, I look forward to returning, and trying some poke and ramen as well!

I was shocked to see how empty the cafe was, especially on a hot day. The quality of the bingsoo was great and really hit the spot! It was pricey but enough for 2 people to share. Metered parking on a weekend evening was easy. My only complaint is that it had a strange, unpleasant smell inside (we were there in the evening during the weekend of April 25th). Also, when I came a few years ago, it had a really cozy, welcoming vibe packed with comfy couches. Now, it just looks like basic tables and plastic chairs, lacking comfort, character, and charm. I'm hoping to return to try the sweet potato latte and the other shaved ices, but I hope they do something about the smell and make the space feel more cozy and inviting.

The Pad Thai I order on June 19th must have been the bottom of the barrel. The noodles were thin, tasteless and had the texture of mowed grass. I even had my friend try it to make sure I wasn't crazy and she agreed. Both of us will no longer be relying on this restaurant as our go to cheap Thai restaurant. The other incident was when I ordered paw see ew. The to go container wasn't even half full which is completely unusual for this place. I've noticed that both times I've placed my order, that it was on the later side of the first evening. If you don't feel like cooking or you're tired, just close and don't accept orders. Thank you for the times it was great but a pattern is a problem and I'm out.

I called to tell the girl about it and she apologized and said it was on her but didn't offer a resolution to replace my drink or offer to make me one that's actually drinkable. This was my favorite place but seeing how she didn't give me a replacement offer, I'm truly disappointed. I've been a loyal customer giving great reviews for the longest and I'm just bummed they offered me no replacement. She said she over blended it but it had no sign of ice and was mostly liquid form like she used too much artificially flavored syrup. The drink wasn't a smoothie. I also don't like how it gives the smoothie price but when you customize it only has the option to charge you one dollar and some change for the only cup size they offer. My 6 dollar drink came out to be almost 9 dollars with a free topping. I threw away the drink and went down the street to get a better tasting smoothie at Uni Uni. I can't believe I was served a really disgusting drink today.
