    a variety of pizzas

The smell brought us in. We were walking by and could smell the pizza and had to stop in for a quick bite. Family run business, Fairly small restaurant, just enough for a fit to sit inside and out. We got the cheese & viareggino slice with garlic sauce. The pizza was tasty, ample amount of sauce so it wasn't dry. Paired with the garlic sauce and the con tower view. Probably the cheapest food on the harbour strip.

The pizza here is perfect and made exactly how I like it. Thin crispy crust, loads of tangy tomato sauce, a nice layer of cheese, and quite a generous topping of veggies. If you like a thick crust with minimal sauce and solid coating of cheese, this place is not for you and may explain some of the discontented reviews below. Service was friendly and quick. The large bottle of hand santizer was also greatly appreciated. The walk in special in quite the steal and I will certainly be getting the large next time.

If you're looking for a street pizza I recommend this place. Is easy to order and fast as they already have the pizzas ready and just heat them as you order. The ambience is normal as they have few chairs just to eat and leave but appreciate that they had the tv with the soccer game from the World Cup playing.

Started to explore food choices around my office as I gotten bored with the same stuff. Anyhow, my coworkers and I finally decided to venture out on a somewhat chilly Wednesday. After a brief walk, we got to this place. It wasn't too busy when we got here, so not too bad. We placed our orders and waited for a few minutes to reheat. I gotten 2 slices of the meat lover pizza and after this was reheated, they came out piping hot. Even though it's not like fresh out of the oven made to begin with. It's made fresh from the day of. I can live with that. Anyhow, I let the pizza slices cool off a bit and started digging in. I love how the pizza crust is thin for Mama's Pizza in general, yet it isn't soggy at all. That's a plus for me. The toppings are alright, nothing out of ordinary. But I will come back again at a later time.

We got a medium one-topping pizza (mushroom) for two adults and two kids. There were 2 slices per person. We have small kids, so if you have a party of 4 adults, perhaps think about getting another pizza or two to fill you up. The crust was crispy and thin, surprisingly very good. The pizza took up the entire box, unlike some fast food pizza places where the pizza is barely there when you open the box! This was a great place to stop for a quick and inexpensive bite to eat in Toronto. They did have a few white plastic tables and chairs set up in the front of the store outside. So we sat and ate our pizza while watching other tourists stroll down the sidewalk. It was a relaxing lunch. We stopped here on our way to the CN Tower. When we're in town again, I know we'll revisit this place.

Stopped here for a quick slice. Great pizza. They have a perfectly crisp bottom crust. Great place to grab a slice.

This small little bake shop had a menu hanging up, but I completely ignored it thanks to the baked goods right behind the counter that I was too busy staring at. I knew right away that I was going to order a Chocolate Croissant because, well, I always order a Chocolate Croissant if one is available. After making my first choice, this strange little baked good caught my eye, and it turned out to be something called a Cruffin.......a Cruffin you say? What is a cruffin? WELL, let me tell you. The cruffin is basically like a muffin, but like, with cheese and pepperoni on it so obviously I hate to order that sexy little bad boy right away. This thing wasn't big, but it was very dense and basically tasted like pizza crust which was absolutely delicious. After eating the cruffin, the Chocolate Croissant seemed way less cool but I ate it anyway. It tasted good and the chocolate was actually spread across the whole thing so they get an even bigger thumbs up for doing it right. Overall, COBS Bread was the spot! I had no idea this was a chain, but who cares, this place was great. I really liked the Cruffin I got and the croissant was really good as well. I will absolutely be revisiting COBS Bread when I come back to Canada and devouring a few more cruffins while I'm at it!

Here's a cinnamon bun, you know what it is lol. The one thing I'd say that will elevate this from a…read more5 to a 10 is if somehow they can get that glaze at the bottom of the bun to be i side of the bun. The interior is dry while the bottom and top is moist. It's height and width is too high and wide so any attempts to bite (to get that moist sweetness to mask the middle dryness) just guarantees a joker's smile of smeared sugar... so, overall a decent bun, but nothing you'd dream daily about. Want to also add the store is very well organized with their display of goods and the service is professional and efficient.

It blends a traditional Italian deli style with a modern downtown vibe and is known for fresh panini made with quality meats and ingredients, many imported from Italy. We tried their "Il Padrino" and "Capricciosa" panini, and both stood out with crispy fresh bread and a great balance of mortadella, prosciutto, salami, cheese, veggies, and sauces. The combination of fresh bread, curated deli meats, and flavorful sauces gives each sandwich a really nice touch. Besides sandwiches, they also carry Italian-style groceries like pasta, cheeses, desserts, and drinks, which makes the visit feel like a quick trip to a small Italian market. It's a great stop if you're looking for a simple but high-quality lunch in the Harbord Village area.

Blink and you'll miss this one! It's down some steps and features so outdoor seating as well. I was intrigued when I heard that another Italian cafe/sandwich shop opened near the Annex/Harbord Village. They have a variety of panini style sandwiches with a fridge/freezer of imported items such as frozen meals, meats, dried and spreads, sauces, cake slices and gelato! All the sandwiches sound delicious! Hard to choose! I went with the Alla Romana $16 (Prosciutto from Abruzzo Italy, Semi-dried cherry tomatoes, Balsamic glaze, Fior di Latte). The bread was crusty & warm - all quality ingredients!! The prosciutto & other topping were plentiful. Great flavours. Fresh! You can tell it was made with care. I was surprised at how big the sandwich was. It was cut in two & placed in a take away container which travelled well. The sandwich was still intact and perfect when I got home. The bread has a good crust but was soft inside to be a good compliment for the filling! I did get a piece of tiramisu & a small single serve cup of gelato from the fridge/freezer to be tried later!! I am a big fan of sandwiches with quality great & quality filling and this checks off the boxes. Staff was friendly and the sandwich is a good value given the top quality ingredients. If you've been to Italy you will appreciate inspired sandwiches & pantry items! Quite a few tables to sit down and enjoy your sandwich with a cold or hot beverage. They have a TV with the Olympics on too! The sandwich picture doesn't do it justice! Go see for yourself!! :)

Looking for a Sandwich place that is different, cutting edge and makes your taste buds melt? Well…read morethis is not your place! I'm going to continue with my overtime take out review series with Sandwich Box. You would think making a sandwich is probably not the most complicated task out there, but this place seems to get it all wrong. My order consisted of an egg salad sandwich on whole grain bread with a side salad. When I received it, I only got the sandwich and the restaurant failed to tell me the salad was no longer included in the combo (yet the price remained the same). That's great that the online menu was not updated to include items no longer available, a simple update would address all these problems knowmsayin? Now on to the actual sandwich, the bread was thick. I mean so thick it looked like there was about a half an inch of eggs inside of two encyclopedias worth of bread. The eggs themselves, totally flavorless and bland. Kinda hard to mess up an egg salad sandwich right? Even Tim Horton's can get that right! To make things short and sweet, I'll be looking over this option the next time I'm working late or considering a sandwich in the downtown area.

I agree that the price for a sandwich plus side salad is quite pricey ($13 including tax) but I like the fact that everything tastes fresh and light, and you have alot of options to customize your sandwich in a healthy way. I ordered the rosemary focaccia with chicken breast, arugula, avocado and chipotle spread plus their usual sprinkle of salt, pepper and squeeze of lime. It's like a gourmet sandwich - the bread was thick, soft with hints of rosemary and yummy. The salad was mostly arugula with carrots- this was very lightly seasoned but at least I won't be hit with itis going back to work! Definitely would come again, although not regularly since it's kinda pricey.
