I hired Josh and his team to move a table that was over an hour away from my house. This was an older Olhausen 8', 3-piece slate table. Josh was able to pick up the table at the scheduled time, and I had them replace the felt, rails and leather pockets. They came and placed the table where I had marked out, leveled the table using rubber shims, and joined the 3 pieces of slate and filled the small gaps, and sanded everything smooth. The table was leveled before putting on the new felt, rails and pockets. While browsing ads and visiting several pool tables in person, Mancave was responsible for building the tables for every one I looked at. Each seller had a great experience with Josh. And with Josh being the least expensive mover in the area, it was a no-brainer to hire Mancave. During this busy moving season, I found a table that needed to be moved no later than Saturday. Josh was able to squeeze me in early Friday morning. All parties involved showed up right on time. The table was disassembled, transported, and reassembled within 4 hours. Excellent work. Do Not use these guys! Found Josh on Craigslist and hired him. Turns out my wife knows him through one of her friends and seemed like a nice guy. He came and built table, did a decent job but the slate started to raise after a couple of weeks and I just didn't get around to calling him at that time since we don't play on it that often. Called him 2.5 months later since it had gotten worse, to the point that balls change direction, and he said that he wouldn't honor his work and that I would need to repay him to build the table. I told him I'd fund his gas, etc. He refused and said I've probably sat on it or something. Original ad stated that he guarantees his work, BS. Do not use their service. read more

Needed pool table pickup/dropoff & assemble etc. Very prompt service - we requested for 8am pickup next day, Josh & his friend were there 15min before. Once the work started, it was just a breeze. Josh is excellent at what he does - he is meticulous, fast (super fast) and accurate. He has great suggestions on levelling, location and finished the total job in under 4 hrs - this is continuous work. Since we had picked a used pool table, the felt didnt seem to be stick well and in the next couple days, there was an airgap that came in. We had NO idea what was involved with moving a pool table from one house to another until we contacted Josh on Craigslist. We had bought a 3 slate pool table (which we didn't know anything about the different types of pool tables anyway) off of a private seller on Craigslist, showed up, and couldn't budge the pool table with three strong men. That's when we realized we needed to either figure out how to DIY a pool disassembly/reassembly, or contact a professional. After watching three 30 minute YouTube's on how to do it, and the ridiculous work that was involved, we started searching Craigslist for a pro. We contacted 3 companies, and Josh was the only one who didn't charge extra for having to move the pool table downstairs into our basement, but also was the lowest price. He was pretty booked, so the next available slot he had open wasn't for a few days. That was okay with us. He got to the house right on time on the agreed day, and set to work quietly and quickly. He used mover's blankets to ensure no pieces got scratched. He brought all of his tools in professionally organized duffle bags. He kept a clean, professional, pleasant appearance, and so did his assistant. It took him about 1-1.5 hours to disassemble, then drove it to our house, where it took about another 2+ hrs to reassemble in our basement (they worked fast, too, with no breaks). They communicated well with us, advised us on proper placement of where the pool table should go (in order for cue sticks to not hit the wall when played). Josh also educated us during certain reassembly steps, on the difference between a 1 and 3 slab table, the pros and cons of each, educated us on the manufacturing of our specific type of slate slabs, showed us how he leveled the slabs with shims, showed us how he sealed each slab together so there were no seams, tested balls out as he rolled them after leveling, and even stretched the felt over the table better than it was originally when we bought it. And get this.... all on Thanksgiving Eve, with no complaint. He worked hard, and professionally, and was even pleasant around our 3 and 1 year olds as they curiously looked on to see what the "worker guy" was building for us. This is the only company anyone should ever use! This is by NO MEANS a DIY project (coming from the queen of DIY projects). If you're reading this, thanks, Josh!! read more

The morning of the move, Man Cave Billiards simply did not show up. No responses to phone calls, emails. Imagine having one day to move due to the HOA and elevator rules and your pool table movers don't show up. I had to spend 4 hours on the phone during my MOVE OUT DAY to find a new company. Found "Josh" on Craigslist to move a private party sale in a short time frame. Josh arrived on time to move the pool table at the seller's house. We agreed on a price for the move without any bargaining ($300) but I didn't receive any paperwork. We then agreed to meet at my house and I left. Since I didn't receive any paperwork for the move and I only had a first name and phone number from Craigslist (I didn't know Josh had the Man Cave business), I decided to wait outside and follow Josh to my house to ensure delivery. Obviously if Josh took off with my pool table I would have very little recourse. I waited outside and followed Josh when he left. Josh immediately made a wrong turn according to Google maps so I called him and told him the correct turn. Josh said that he did not have the directions yet and said something about not taking the table and I joked that I was suspicious and laughed. No big deal. A short while later, he makes another wrong turn so I call him to make sure he has the correct address. He pulls into a gas station, informs me he needs to use the restroom and he is very offended that I don't trust him and is even a bit confrontational. I point out I don't know him and I don't have any paperwork from him, he's just a first name and phone number from Craigslist. Josh arrives at my house and I immediately explain to Josh again I have no paperwork from him and just a first name and phone number and I certainly didn't mean to offend him. Josh then says he's just dropping off the table without assembling it for no charge. By this time I'm getting upset since I scheduled this delivery during the week and I promised my kids the pool table for Christmas vacation so I point out that we have a verbal contract and to please take a few minutes to cool off and finish the job. Josh gets very huffy, insults me, leaves the pool table in pieces and takes off. Josh might know his stuff but he came off as a spoiled millennial this time. read more
