I own a business transitioning seniors. I've hired Prestige movers numerous times. One of the main reasons I use Prestige is because of their patience and professionalism working with my senior clients. For good movers it's not about the speed of the move, it's being careful when prepping your furniture to prevent damages when moving, loading the furniture, unloading, and unwrapping the furniture. They will work with you on placement for furniture and boxes so things aren't dropped off in a room it doesn't belong in. The movers are courteous to the client. That's professionalism. They aren't coming in on a job with an attitude or a chip on their shoulder. They listen and are extremely helpful. Clients want quality and people they can trust with their items. I will oversee the job with movers I use. So I am there during the move. They easily take direction and suggestions to help with the job to go smoothly. They have hung artwork and mounted TV's for my clients. If my client has too much the movers will donate what is not used. So it's easy for the client. If you're looking for quality, and professional I highly recommend Prestige Movers. Keep in mind most movers charge by the hour, fuel (travel fee) and for supplies. Ask what you're getting up front then there are no surprises after. Most of the time it's an estimate, which is normal. And one more comment; the owner of the company does come by and check on his guys and checks in with the client to see how things are going. We have used Prestige Movers twice now and they're the best! Roger (owner) is super responsive and friendly - it was easy to get our moves scheduled. For our first move, it was just unpacking/setting up furniture and their team was so fast and efficient. For our second move, it was a full pack, move and unpack - Roger's team was fantastic! They came on time, packed up all our items carefully, and unpacked/put together furniture at the new place so quickly. They really take the time to pack your items with bubble wrap and moving blankets, all items were perfect post move. The team was friendly as well. Roger provided a time estimate for how long the move would be and was super accurate, which is appreciated since it's an hourly rate and have seen previous moving companies underestimate the time and then charge way more. After complaining about the lack of communication, major shifts in our schedule (like moving us an entire day early), poorly packed items, he admitted they didn't do a good job and then proceeded to ghost me. I am just so overwhelmed with gratitude, and so impressed with the quickness and efficiency of the team at Prestige Movers. I called Roger the day before a job, and he was able to accommodate, which was incredible to begin with. His crew arrived on time with great attitudes, and started working right away. STAY AWAY! We hired them to move us across the country, and they cancelled on us 5 days before our move citing "family issues". Turns out, they falsified insurance documents to try to get us to pay the $2300 deposit. Roger, the owner, comes across as a stand up guy. In fact, we've moved them previously to move locally and he impressed us by how he handled the move. We trusted him, and he was intentionally deceitful. Thank goodness we were thorough and found out before paying him and leaving our belongings in their care. He denies that his employees damaged and tried to repair the foot of the dresser without me knowing. **** This review is coming from 1 year ago today. We had such a horrible experience I was just going to let it go. As my wife and I remember moving into our first home, our memory is reminded of the poor performance that we received. I scheduled movers 1-2 weeks ahead of my planned move time as we just closed on our home and requested to have 3 movers to be able to lower a couch over the balcony from the third floor unit as my couch was unable to previously be moved into the condo unit when I moved in. I asked if wardrobe boxes could be provided and was told it would not be a problem. On the day of the move. The movers did not arrive at the scheduled time. About 30 minutes after the scheduled arrival I called the owner to get an update and he said he would call to see where they were. I waited another 15 minutes and called again to get an update and the owner said they would be there soon. The movers arrived about an hour late. I should have just cancelled them right then and there. But I had everything packed and ready to go. The movers came upstairs (we had an elevator in the building) and showed everything. They guys got to work about 15 minutes later. I asked about the wardrobe boxes and the mover had no idea he was supposed to bring any and called the owner/boss. The mover said the boss told him to go pick some up at the local Lowe's. 1 guy left in the truck for about 45 minutes leaving the other 2 to start moving items. The 2 guys left were moving at what seemed a snails pace. But seeing as they were moving my wife, my daughter and my own possessions I felt uncomfortable asking them to get a move on for fear my items would get damaged. I helped move things as I I thought this would just take 1-2 hours to get everything down and loaded. After about 1hour 45 minutes. All movers were working and said they needed to take a 15 minute break since they had already driven from north county and that would be included in their work hours. About 20 minutes later the movers called me to tell me they were taking their lunch. Literally they took their break and lunch right after. This was super frustrating as I was sitting in a partially packed up house on my floor waiting for these guys. I have more to say, but the text limit is exceeded. I do not recommend this company at all. They packed things I asked them not to pack. Even food that was going to be thrown out from the refrigerator and food that I was going to take on my trip got packed, as well as all the CDs and books on tape that I was going to listen to on my trip. They packed things I was going to take to charities. No common sense whatsoever. They paid no attention to what I said to them. They didn't label boxes so I had no idea what was inside. It took over twice as long to pack my house than what was originally talked to #MIN. And they left some things behind that the realtor found at the last minute. On the day that I arrived to my new out-of-state home, rather than meeting me here as I was told they would do, they let me know they couldn't get a truck and it took an extra couple days, so I had to stay in a motel with my dog and cat before they got finally arrived at the house. One large box was wet and had mold growing all in it. Many pieces of furniture were damaged and the movers said to send the owner, Roger, the pictures and he would take care of it for me. I did so and he said he was going to them repaired. Then he ignored me for quite a while and when finally got back to me a couple weeks later he said he would send me $100. I told him that was unacceptable as he ruined a pair of lamps that were worth $400 plus several other pieces of furniture. I texted him multiple times about having it repaired and he just ignored me. Won't answer my calls. I've read multiple stories of nightmares that people had with movers and he promised me he was not one of those and yet my nightmare came true. He has lied to me and sent me and I do not recommend anyone using this company. I am posting a few of the pictures. I had a horrible experience with my last movers that I found on Groupon, so needless to say, I was a bit skeptical and worried that I'd have a similar outcome. It increased even more when I called to confirm the day before the move and they didn't ask me my name, but they confirmed the details when I asked them to. Little did I know, I had always been speaking to the owner throughout the process and he knew the details of my move in and out. Fast forward to day of, they arrived close to the time frame given to me, and were professional, polite and personable! Roger and his crew of sons moved our furniture with care, but also efficiently and quickly. I didn't even have to be a control freak or micromanage because Roger makes you feel comfortable and demonstrates that he knows what he's doing. My groupon was for 4 hours and 3 men and they finished in plenty of time with 30 minutes to spare! I hate moving no matter the circumstance, however Prestige Movers makes it more than bearable. This may be a long review but it is worth reading!! I am currently in a dispute with Prestige movers through American Express. I will not go into detail on that but I will go into detail on my experience with Prestige movers! I called this company in the end of June 2019, plenty of time to be ready for my move which was August 31, 2019. Moving from the city to a rural environment requires preparation. That was not a concern of the owner Roger nor was he the least bit concerned about the responsibility his workers would have to endure! I noticed right away I was having a problem with him maybe it was just a personality problem and our personalities were very different but he would avoid my calls or talk to me very curtly and try to get off the phone as quick as possible. The week before the inspection I tried to call him and get him to please come out and give me the garment boxes that I was supposed to receive that day and do the thorough inspection again he tried to put me off didn't want to show up but gave me a song and dance and told me that the move was just a "cakewalk" and I was just paranoid and then made the comment that "oh it looks like you always have to be in control", sounds misogynistic doesn't it? He also told me he would drop off the garment boxes the day of the move "so I would have something to do", LOL. Then before the move I called a couple days before just to get a feeling that everything was OK. But it really wasn't on the day of the move I got the bad news that he could not get my "Penske" truck which is what he promised me for a long distance move, a "Penske" truck. Those were his words!! After that you can imagine everything went downhill very bad. The workers showed up frazzled they were packing everything into the garage, nothing was as promised. We were supposed to be leaving all together in a move called a "dedicated move" it means the drivers are with you all the way that's what you were paying for. Instead they informed me that they would have to do another job that day and maybe be leaving that night or the next day?? That was not what we paid for. About an hour into it Roger shows up with a U-Haul truck, you must be kidding? Who hires a moving company and pays $4,000 and then they show up with a U-haul truck? I was completely overwhelmed at this point and absolutely frantic but trying to stay as calm as possible. My husband showed up and asked what is going on I said I'll explain it later. We had a 20 hour drive ahead of us. To make a long story shorter, we begged the workers to please leave early and that we would tip them money we were so frantic! On the way up there we even encountered an accident which put us back two hours an electrical wire fell down on the freeway in Redding California which was scary enough. There was no sympathy for our situation of course. That is "unforeseen circumstances". When we finally arrived the workers arrived exhausted they could not perform the job that was promised all of our boxes had to go into the screened in porch nothing was able to be staged in the room and my husband ended up helping them set up the bed and had to help them all the way with me using flashlights, they were unaccustomed to the environment which was very rural there was no light out there, there was no trash and Roger had done nothing to prepare them for the nightmare that they would endure. To boot they were stacking heavy boxes full of books on top of boxes that were labeled delicate and fragile as Roger had directed me to do so nothing was as promised. To top it off before anything could be unloaded Roger got on the phone with me and told me that I owed him another $416. extortion!! He said it was my fault that he could not get the Penske truck and then he had to get a U-Haul and that was considered "unforeseen circumstances". My husband said to me how could that be your fault? The workers were so exhausted they dropped a "desk" glass top and broke it. Roger could not be bothered making sure that they were safe he expected them to work like slaves and drive all night and all day without rest. He even told me that when I asked about break times. There was so much more to this nightmare but Yelp doesn't allot space enough to write about it. I have noticed that Roger has a lot of good reviews but I notice toward the end his reviews are getting very bad and I am thinking that something is up with his company maybe he cannot keep up with the pace that he is setting or there are personal issues. I also question the validity of the reviews since how is it possible that some people are having such bad experiences and then other people are having such a perfect experience? And notice his good reviews have similar but weird names and NO FACES? Roger, today is 02Nov2019 and we have not received an insurance claim as of yet; in fact, we have not received any confirmation that this claim has been filed. You responded to my son stating that a claim has been filed 01Nov2019, when we still have no proof of this. Numerous times, spanning over months, we have cordially asked for such information, and to date, have not received any. In fact, it's not just the piano that was broken during this move. A vanity mirror of mine was shattered then hidden in the truck. Once I found it I received no remorse over this. Then, a coffee table of mine was gouged deeply, and your solution was to color in the mark with a crayon. You're running a business Rodger, this isn't preschool, you can't fix your problems with a crayon, like you attempted to do with our piano as well. To provide some backstory on this piano, it's a family heirloom. Your movers treated it like a pile of junk. You, yourself, treated it like a childrens' coloring book, with your trusty crayon. Frankly, this entire family is sick of your constant lies. Your lies to us over the phone, your lies to us over email, and your lies to my son. read more

I'm not sure what happened to all these people leaving negative reviews. I had a great experience. We recently moved from Escondido to Temecula and were bouncing between two moving companies, Prestige Movers and another located in Murrieta. Prestige Movers were able to take the list of items that I would need to be moved and give me great quote. In fact, it was about $600-$1000 less than the other quotes I received from several other companies for two trucks and four workers. On the day of the move, I received a call about 30 minutes ahead of time from Roger that his crew was on the way. Once they showed up, we did a quick tour of what the moving looked like and they got straight to work. The hardest item to move in the house was easily the slab of quartz but they did some Macgyver-like technique and moved it from my garage to the truck flawlessly. I was pretty impressed; the last time someone tried to move that quartz, it took them an hour to get it in the truck and dragged it along the concrete. The unload was even quicker than the packing and they managed to finish under our estimated total move time (including double drive time). Needless to say we have a great experience using Prestige Movers and would highly recommend. read more

Let me start by saying I personally helped the movers unload the truck, because they were sooooo slow. Also, I have a picture of me handing them them the cash payment because this sketchy company wouldn't accept check and couldn't provide me a receipt for my payment, so I took a picture! Also, in my original review I didn't mention that they also damaged property with their truck. I have proof of everything, so don't try to sensor me! Here is my original review base on my real experience with this company about 2 weeks ago: My parents hired this company to help move one bedroom set, two additional mattresses and a few other miscellaneous small items 10min away. This small job wasn't able to be accomplished in 3 hours. We even over heard the workers say that they were trying to milk the project to get paid more. DO NOT HIRE!!! We regret ever working with this company. First, they were a no show/no call. We had to call them to ask for status. When they finally showed up, the truck they sent wasn't big enough for all of our belognings. When questioned, they assured us everythign would fit, however they left 10% of items behind. When packing, they disassembled items which became damaged during the move and could not be reassembled. Utlimately, because the moving truck was not big enough, they left behind numerous items we expected would move with us. These items were left on the curb, it felt like we were being evicted. Also, some items of value came up missing. Our BBQ grill and patio set broke during the move; while they reimbursed us for the patio set it just continued the headache. We had hired another moving company for our house move, which included a very large and very heavy canopy bed that we were storing, disassembled, in our garage. This other moving company refused to move it up to our 2nd floor primary bedroom and they were convinced there was no way it could be moved where we wanted it. I went searching for movers that specialized in difficult moves and spoke with Roger. That same day, he had his crew at my house and was able to move the bed to our primary bedroom AND assemble the bed in less than an hour. Not only that, they were incredible careful to not damage our walls and stairwell. I've moved A LOT in the last 10 years and have worked with many moving companies. This review is LONG overdue but about 6 weeks ago we called Prestige movers in a panic after the guy we hired was a NO SHOW. on the morning of our move. I'm also pregnant and we have a toddler. so to say we were stressed would be putting it lightly. we called Roger with Prestige movers on a Friday morning around 9am and they were at our house by 11am. 3 guys. they packed an entire storage pod for us, plus a moving truck. additionally, when we got to our new location, they helped us unload, build our bed , put our dressers back together ETC. maybe that's to be expected but i was just so beyond grateful. nicest guys too. incredibly quick and efficient. they finished in about 5-6 hours? not bad considering the amount of crap we had. and the fact that i was basically zero help being pregnant. i will 100000% be using them again when we move into our new home. so grateful to this team, thank you guys a ton! read more

Before you consider using this company, stop and don't do it. Roger came to our house and storage unit and sent only 1 truck. Roger said the truck would pick up the storage unit stuff first and go to the house second. They were late and went to the house first instead of the storage unit first. I sent them to the storage unit. When they came back to the house, it took all day to load the truck even though we only had 3 beds and a kitchen table. The rest was boxes. And towards they end they realized they needed a second truck. Waited forever for a second truck but that meant my stuff was split into two trucks. Roger said our stuff would be stored in Phoenix until we called him. When we sent up delivery date Roger said they truck was in CA and drivers would arrive between 10-12 on X day. Called Roger at 12:30 and he said drivers had just left CA and would arrive at 2-3 pm. They arrived later than that. And of course some of my stuff was missing. Even though every mattress was bagged- My mattresses were filthy dirty. Box spring ripped and torn. Like they had been thrown in the street. Bicycles missing chains. Brand new ironing board filthy dirty and missing the rubber feet. I'm missing a hanging clothes rack. And Roger does not return phone calls either. Don't do it. Don't use this company. read more

Roger and his team at Prestige Movers were such a huge help during my move! I needed help with loading an upstairs bedroom full of furniture and boxes into a uhaul truck for a move to northern CA. Sounds easy, right? Wrong. My furniture is super heavy and my condo had a very tight switchback turn on the stairs. (Yikes) How they got all of my stuff downstairs and unscathed is beyond me. Serious skills and such care for my belongings! Since I still needed to load up stuff from my storage unit across town, the Prestige Movers team made sure to pack and stack all of my boxes so neatly and tightly in the truck. Serious game of Tetris back there! Plenty of room left over for packing up my storage unit. The movers came at two as requested. However, it took much longer than expected. At midnight, I was exhausted, I left and did not return for five days. I was shocked when I saw how they had left things. I had antique furniture that I wanted well taken care of. Instead it was just thrown in a room. I had to pay two guys three days later to take everything out of the room and rearrange it. Plus they moved my freezer filled with fish we caught in Alaska. Although there was a plug, they did not plug it in. All the fish had to be thrown away. I would not recommend these movers. read more

We had an appointment scheduled with them for over a month and 5 min prior for them scheduled to come with a truck, they called and said they will be there 3 hours later because everyone was hung over from New Years party! Roger and his team did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. After we sold our house in Pennsylvania we had the contents shipped, via PODS, to California. When it arrived in San Diego I realized that I needed help unloading and moving everything into the new house. Some neighbors recommended Prestige Movers, so we contacted Roger who was able to accommodate our schedule on fairly short notice. He showed up on time and quickly unloaded the containers and moved everything into the house where we wanted it. He assembled the beds, tables and a few other things. Roger and his crew were great. Showed up right on time and got after it. Great communication and coordination on their part. The hours billed and supplies used and billed were spot on. One item did unfortunately get slightly damaged but they were ready with remedies and solutions right away and are willing to make it right. Like all moving companies, Prestige missed a bit on the time needed and the capacity needed but again, they adjusted and got another truck and did it all without charging me extra. I will be moving again in 2 years and they definitely will be my only call. read more
