This is a local bar that delivers on quality bar food! The happy hour might bring you in..but the flavor food and good service will have you come back for more! The steak tacos were especially well done... Pretty chill vibe..but take note-this bar has an Irish Band that has practice there so it can get a lil loud..if you like bagpipes and drums...This is your spot! Enjoy!

Very yummy place my friend and I stopped in when we are craving some comfort food! We had the French onion burger, shepherds pie, and the French onion soup. Very delicious and all great service was also excellent. Feels like you're stepping into Ireland , but Philly themed!

Brown sugar dry rub wings with bacon aoli and fries, really good!

First time here, a friend mentioned it so we tried it out and it was really good, from the service and the food, the crowd was a good mix of people which was good to see and it felt really chilled, I would definitely go back to relax or for a date with my wifey.

This place is great! The menu is solid and the food lives up to expectations! The staff was all very kind and helpful (I forget our waitress' name but she had curly hair that I believe was in braids at night on Friday, shoutout to her for being great). They hook you up with a large carafe of ice cold water which is great during the heat. There were a variety of seating options, indoor, outdoor, bar, tented area outside, really whatever you're feeling they have. The prices were definitely fair as well. Seems like a great spot to bring people but also a solid option if you want to do something on your own. Will definitely be returning!

I just got take out but when I walked in it definitely felt like a fun bar where everyone talks to each other. I made the blackened chicken salad a wrap and it was really good! It was smaller than I expected but it was a great size for me. It was also WAY healthier than expected which was also great.

    Me having a great time

Amanda is the best bartender in Philly, probably the planet. The super cool and hot and makes the best drinks I've ever had. Cocktails? Just ask Amanda. 10000 outta 10 stars.

Short rib flat bread - so delicious - even when it's cold.

Ok, where do I begin. I have eaten here many times...in the restaurant/bar area and outside and have gotten A LOT of take out. I think this is one of my favorite places to eat outside in the spring/summer/fall. Why? Because it's not on a busy street and the food is just good. And there is parking! There is no traffic you just sit outside and enjoy the amazing food. They have a covered tent if it's not the best weather and a huge patio. And the crowd is mostly local and low key. The menu isn't super extensive but they do good food. Service is always on par - whether you are a in big crowd or with small kids or just by yourself. So what have I had: - Hilltown Flatbread - when you get it - it doesn't seem like a lot but it is so yummy. The short rib and cheese on there in addition to the aioli -so good. -Fish Tacos - Yes - they are very meaty and so delicious. and normally I'm sorta iffy about the pickled cabbage but its a must here. -Chicken Fingers - absolute YES. They are fresh and juicy and not out of a freezer bag. When you have these - you never want any other chicken fingers from any other restaurant. and the kids menu has the same chicken fingers - just less of them (if you have kids). -Wings- not fatty, crispy and just how you want wings - meaty. -Hilltown Burger - I almost ALWAYS have someone order this when I go there if I don't order it myself. I just love it - juicy and delicious. -Crispy Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich - Again - you cannot wrong with this one. The chicken is just so so meaty and juicy. This is how you want a chicken sandwich to be. We also ALWAYS get this. -South Philly Fried Chicken Sandwich - Similar chicken to the above - just different toppings - while I prefer the above - with just the pickles/mayo/slaw - this is a runner up to that. -Black & Tan Fish & Chips- So much fish, so good, meaty and not greasy. This is great if you're craving fried fish. Also great during Lent. -Shepard's Pie - the only dish I'm not a super fan on. It's just ok. -Desserts - I've ordered the red velvet and oreo cake - once- probably won't do it again. They don't excel on their desserts like they do their food. I'm attaching pictures of our most recent take out from Hilltown Tavern - takeout really doesn't do it justice but I'd like you see the pictures.

My mum and I stopped in to meet my cousin before we headed back to Boston and we loved it because it felt like home. Shout out to Si, she was so sweet and attentive especially with our 3rd party being 30 minutes late. Mum said she really liked her chicken and waffles and I like the house sauce but I do wish it had been a bit more wet. The parking isn't the best but you can always park on the street.

Massive poutine with short ribs, cheese, and gravy.

Cool, little, local bar with tasty food. We popped over for dinner and enjoyed. Now I'll admit that at first I thought the poutine seemed a little pricey, but when it came (the short rib, cheese, and gravy) it was practically a meal for two people. A LOT of meat cooked super tender. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the southern chicken sandwich. Two more large meals. Fish was crispy and light, the chicken sandwich was a whole, huge chicken breast. I felt the breading on the chicken was a little bland, but my wife really enjoyed it. I think it had a backend taste like a chick-fil-a sandwich.

A quick note for first-time visitors: the restaurant has multiple entrances, and I initially arrived at the back door. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in directing me to the correct entrance. The space has a unique atmosphere. The indoor dining area felt quite dark, but the restaurant appears to have multiple levels, including an upstairs dining area and a bar, which adds to its charm. I started with a cocktail and really enjoyed it. It was fruity, well-balanced, and had just the right amount of alcohol without being overpowering. Based on recommendations, I ordered the burger. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. It could have been cooked better, and overall I wasn't particularly impressed with it. What stood out most was the service. My server was attentive, friendly, and checked in regularly without being intrusive. Overall, The Dandelion offers a pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and great cocktails. While the burger wasn't a standout for me, I'd be willing to return and try other menu items.

This way it was easy for our group to talk. I saw someone else drinking a drink that looked really good so I just ordered that without looking at the menu. It was in a champagne glass and had an orange peel in it. This drink was delish and I would order it again. I ordered the caesar w salmon. The salad itself was fine but the dressing didn't taste at all like caesar dressing. I still ate the whole thing - but just didn't love the dressing. Reviewers rated Moriarty's short ribs highly, and though I hesitated to order risotto take out, I want for it. Sorry, no pics but trust ne when I say it was delish! The portions were great (there were a few spears of asparagus) and the lukewarm risotto (expected considering it was delivered) was creamy and flavorful. There was a but more oil than I would have liked floating at the bottom, and the sauce was a bit salty, but not so much that I couldn't enjoy the super tender morsels of beef. I look forward to trying something else on the menu soon.
