Very disappointed with Mancini's. We were offered last year's model on a Tempur-Pedic Matress and were grateful. We purchased the mattress with the understanding that it would be delivered the weekend of Nov 1, which was the big reason we made the purchase. No one contacted us before delivery, and when we followed up, we were told it wouldn't arrive until Nov 8. The manager later said Nov 4, then offered us a used bed to be delivered sooner, which was quite an absurd counteroffer given the used mattress was the same price as the new one we purchased. The constant changes and lack of communication were unacceptable. We were told three different delivery dates, only to end up back at the original one. This experience was frustrating, misleading, and far below expectations for a major purchase. read more

He was very helpful and immediately by looking up our tel number had our what we last bought in 2013. We wanted to replace that mattress with a new one. This review is for Al and the staff at Mancini's Sleepworld at Colma. Initially, went to Mattress Firm in the same plaza first and wasn't wow'ed by what they had in the store. But Mancini's store was larger and had more selection of mattresses. Al was helpful in describing the different brands and wasn't pushy at all. Decided on a mattress and let Al know was considering purchasing online. But Al beat the price online so ended up purchasing in store. The delivery team gets no stars though. The delivery date listed 1/5/24 but 1/5/24 goes by and no text/call about any delivery. I called the store on 1/7/24 and asked when the delivery was expected. Of course, delivery date was pushed a week later. As with many stores, staff are only concerned with the sale and not the entire process of receiving final product. read more

I'm a returning customer, and this review is long overdue. Over the years, I've lived in the South Bay and San Francisco, but I always come back here whenever I need a new mattress or frame. Excellent customer service is a big deal for me, and this place consistently delivers. I usually look for Al, who has always been fantastic, but on my recent visit, Essa (I hope I'm getting his name right but he's the SWE grad) assisted me. Just like Al, Essa was incredibly patient, helpful, and resourceful. I tend to take my time making decisions and ask a lot of questions, but Essa handled it with ease. He answered all my questions thoroughly and made me feel supported without any pressure. He was very clear on costs and strived to find the best solution for me. Even while managing other customers, he ensured I had the space and attention I needed. The team here sets the bar for exceptional service, no creepy car salesman feel that I get from other places. Mancini's in Colma, and specifically Ali, made this a great experience! I hadn't bought a mattress in 20 years, and didn't know how much things had changed since then. Ali asked about my sleep habits, preferences, and budget before narrowing the field to those mattresses that suited my needs. He didn't waste time showing me every type, he clearly explained the differences about the inner components of each one, and then left me briefly just to relax into each option to see how they felt. No pressure, no hovering, just exactly what I needed to make a well-informed purchase. I actually left the store to try the nearby Sleep Number bed, but returned to Mancini's for the mattress (Aireloom) that matched my body type the best (no shade to Sleep Number, my sister swears by hers, it just didn't suit me as well). Just like purchasing a car...you're going to spend a lot of time on this mattress, so it makes sense to put in the time to choose the right one. I bought my mattress and box spring here almost 10 years ago. I called to get someone to come look at my mattress before the warranty was up and within a week someone was here. It took a few weeks afterwards to hear back, but from what I was told, the mattress company which happened to be sealy was arguing with Mancini sleep world that the warranty was not be valid and it was just about up. The manager went to bat for me and I am sitting here waiting for my new mattress to be delivered. Now I will not ever buy a Sealy Posturepedic again, this happens to be my third replacement, and you can feel the coils pop up into my body for lack of a better way of expressing it. When I am ready to buy a new mattress, I will definitely go back to Mancini's as their customer service is fantastic whether you're in person or on the phone and they have mattresses at all ranges to fit your budget. So the delivery people just left. They were nice enough, but they really didn't speak English which is fine, but they had to call and get approval to take my old mattress because there was fuzz in the buttons. I don't think it really should matter if there is or not because they should not be resold or are used. So after about 10 minutes or so of them talking to somebody on the phone taking very close up pictures of those rivets they decided they would honor the warranty. The bad side is that when they left, they left my downstairs door wide open, and the two carpets I had down there were out in the street, so I'm glad I didn't let my animals out before checking. read more

Nidal's efficiency in completing the necessary phone calls and paper work made the replacement process so seamless for us. We have been looking to replace our bedroom mattress for a couple of years now and we finally decided to treat ourselves. After looking at several national retailers to see what we were looking at, we stopped in at Mancini's in Colma before we made up our mind.. we left that morning with an order for a very, very nice mattress and frame set. Steve was a great help, being around to answer questions and point us in the right direction, but not overbearing and giving us plenty of time to compare options and make up our mind on our own. Five star service. We have had our new mattress for about 6 weeks now and although it cost us a pretty penny, it has been worth every cent. One day I found myself in a situation where I needed to purchase two new twin size box spring matresses to be delivered, the same day. In addition to the short notice, I was not available to go pick them out in person - luckily I am good under pressure. I looked up Mancini's online to first determine pricing, if they had what I needed and any product information I needed to place an order. I found a couple that looked good and were inexpensive. Then I called the local Mancini's closest to my house, let them know what I was looking for and when I needed it. Luckily they could accommodate my request and delivered the two box springs to my home before I arrived home from work. Whoever that salesman on the floor today was that spoke with us, he was really rude. He was wearing an orange mask. We said we had a Purple mattress that made our backs hurt, and he just said "I hate that brand" without even suggesting an alternative. He didn't even introduce himself. Then we said we wanted to shop around, and he said "Why would you go anywhere else? We have 9 brands here." Essentially meaning "We have everything, so just find something here and buy it." What a terrible sales pitch and attitude with a condescending tone of voice. We are never coming back here for the rest of our lives, and Im only 30. I was confused about which mattress to get but luckily Alex provided me excellent advice and I ended up getting a nice tempur pedic. It's hard for me to trust salespeople due to past negative experiences. It's also hard to go shop at a place with authentic employees who actually care about your comfort and well being. I'm happy to say that this location and Alex in particular bucked the trend and went above and beyond to secure me an amazing deal and provided me excellent support throughout my expensive mattress journey. It's time, our old beds were 13 years old and it was time to replace them. We went to Mancini's sleepworld because of reviews and things we heard from other people. The salesperson Ray, was very nice and also knowledgeable. We had a lot of questions and he answered them all very professionally. After almost 2 hours, I think we tried every mattress and bed in the store, we finally came up with something we liked. After one week our bed and adjustable frame arrived at our home.The delivery persons, were very careful, before they left, made sure that everything was set up and adjusted properly. My family and I came in to find a mattress after 15 years of our old one. We met David who was very helpful yet not pushy. We decided to go with a firm Avocado mattress but shortly realized it was too firm. David reminded us of the 30 day time period before we could exchange but provided a mattress topper in the meantime. Our 30 days was up and i called to place the order for the Medium avocado. David arranged pick up and long story short there was some issues with the third party pick up guys and taking the mattress. David wrote a long case for a us and was on the phone fighting for our case and thankfully showed them we were not in the wrong.
