BE AWARE ON THE WARRANT PROCESS , I had a bad mattress I have a month trying to reach someone to help me and submit my claim defective mattress and they are just avoiding all this sending me text message that I have to do everything by my own , Andrew , Ava they are apparently professionals but they have that form -being very diplomatic about telling someone to go f.... themselves --specifically Serramonte Store Unprofessionally, It seems like the store itself makes the warranty process a hassle just so you'll get fed up and drop the claim; even though I bought two bed bases and two mattresses, they don't fully respect the customer. TERRIBLE SERVICE--they treat you wonderfully when they're trying to make the sale, but once you're in, you're on your own. When literally is almost 10 grand the sale. SUCKS read more

BE AWARE OF RETURNS! My return experience is dissatisfied as it wasn't clarified to me in store that the bases are non-returnable where I'm now stuck with one. The manager had recommended I put it on Facebook marketplace or offer-up as if that could be easy for me to do when I have a disability. Do you think I can meet with someone and lug around a base in my wheelchair? So now I'm stuck with a base that's barely used that I won't be using that I'll need to pay for. There should be more clarification and signs in the store that say ALL SALES FINALON BASES. The way you find out is when you want to return it. read more

This store has good reviews for a reason! They have such a wide selection of bed options from hybrids to foam to traditional. The staff here is SO helpful. If you want they can assist you in what beds to try out etc and they are not pushy. We ended up spending 3 hours total and it felt like a marathon but were able to get a great bed at a good price thanks to Memorial Day deals. Would def recommend dropping by! read more

It's nice you can trade in your bed (for a cost) but the prices reflect this. When we had an issue with the replacement, I got the run around called 3x and my associate NEVER got back to us. Only super low or high end Purple mattresses. Side sleepers do yourself a favor and try the Purple showroom in Emeryville. Worth a trek. J read more

Note that this is just a showroom, so accordingly, their on-hand inventory is limited. After Ikea failed us, we needed a queen size mattress and box spring pronto. We contacted this place (Sat, Aug 3rd) and informed the saleslady we couldn't wait for delivery and needed a queen sized mattress and box spring. She wasn't able to match the online price and stated that the best they could do was $XXX.00 for the set. I asked when they closed and she informed us that they closed at 8pm. When we got there, that particular saleslady was gone. The saleslady we approached stated that they had a queen sized mattress, but not a box spring. Of course I am livid because I just rented a Uhaul that will cost about $80 after mileage and now they don't have the set. Eventually Fazzi (my apologies as I don't have my receipt in front of me, so I don't know her name) was able to offer a bedspring and mattress for the price the lady quoted. Both the saleslady and the new manager were friendly and professional and turned a bad situation into something positive. Here's What I Think... I would recommend this store to others, but of course I would remind them that there is limited merchandise on hand. read more

We had been bed shopping for a couple of months visiting several mattress stores in our area. This particular mattress firm seemed to have a large selection of beds compared to other locations we checked. We had previous bad experiences with rude staff pushing sales & rushing us to make a decision. We felt no pressure with John. He let us take our time testing out the beds & bases. He made it a very pleasant and easy purchase. He answered all our questions and showed us beds catering to my concerns. My husband & I are both big warm sleepers with different bed preferences. John helped us find a bed that catered to both our needs. He was also able to schedule our delivery to be the next day. (I had previously bought a mattress at another store, but they kept delaying shipping when I was promised a certain date because I'm having surgery). Can't wait to use our bed. We avoided getting a new mattress for too long, fearing something akin to a used car salesman push. But Nicholas in the Colma store was totally low key. Helpful, informative but no pressure at all. He just wanted to make sure we got the right mattress for us. We bought one, got it home, slept on it for a month and realized as much as we'd thought we wanted firm, we really hadn't wanted *that* firm. And when I called him to admit this he was totally nice about it, kept saying "I just want you to get the right mattress for you." He wouldn't let us switch until we came in to lay on a new one for at least ten minutes. Which was totally the right move - we ended up choosing a medium hybrid which wouldn't have been our first choice. But it was the right one. He made the paperwork easy, it was delivered within a week and we even got a refund because the other one was more expensive. Buying a mattress doesn't have to be horrible, is what I learned. read more

They were able to look up my delivery from a purchase back in 2014 and confirmed it is still under warranty. Fingers crossed temper pedic honors the warranty. FYI temper pedic mattresses are fantastic for about 4-5 years but dents in the area where you often sleep. The mattress is not something you can flip to prevent this and rotating it only works moderately. read more

Read really great reviews, so figured that was a good start. I did not need another stressful experience of buying something new during covid. Immediately, I was greeted at the door by Ariel (like the mermaid he said - but with a Spanish accent). It was a catchy, easy way to remember his name. He asked me my price points and if I knew what I was looking for. Im loyal to futons and have slept on one forever, so I knew the feel I wanted and thought I knew what I wanted. By the 2nd bed I laid on, I knew it was the one, but wanted to try others (from higher price points) to see what I would miss. I then found another 2 that were comparable, but when I tried again later, I knew they werent right. Oddly enough the cheaper one (with the sucky warranty - 5years) is what I decided on. Note: this is not anyone's fault, but it is what it is. Ariel was never pushy, he listened well and really knew the different beds and what he thought would match a futon experience. I think in total it took me 45 minutes including paying, and talking a bit more. He was very friendly as well as the Manager? Everett. They even entertained me when I asked about the name of the bed, only to discover that what I saw referred to some sort of padding made by another company. We all had a good chuckle. The best part is - the bed will be here LITERALLY the next day. I couldnt have asked for it sooner. I would go back in a heartbeat. They really know beds and it was pressure-free. Do be sure to take advantage of their sales, as you can get a great deal. I saved $150 on the bed I wanted. read more

I came in ready to buy the similar mattress I bought 4 years ago but in a king-size version. They keep great records and had the same exact mattress I love. It's called the Simmons Hybrid Alcove Plush because I don't like all foam mattresses, and all coils are not as plushy. I was lucky and received 5-star service from Anthony, who was knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. I was really impressed. They're having a great promotion on mattresses, free reclining base, and pay for the smaller mattress and get the bigger mattress deal. So...pay the Queen price for King, pay the Twin price for a Queen. So I came, I bought and I will be sleeping happily in my new larger sized bed that can now recline on my both my head and feet because I upgraded the free base, since I didn't opt for a box spring I thought it made more sense. In my opinion, best mattress buying experience ever from any furniture store, let alone a chain. I don't remember the sale reps names but they were amazing. They don't just ask you what type of mattress you are looking for, they actually ask you a series of questions to uncover what type of mattress you have right now and lead to you the mattresses that they believe could work for you. I also like that they were not pushy, and didn't lead me to the most expensive tempurpedics right away. All in all, a great experience and took home a simmons beauty rest black a few months ago, all during pandemic and still provided 5 star customer service here. It was time to shop for a new mattress! That's right, I said "shop" which means I want to look around and see what I like/dislike before spending $1k+ and deal with delivery. I came in on a Friday afternoon (appointment only). The appointment was easy to make however I was not aware that this "appointment" meant I would have to figure out exactly what I want and purchase it then and there. Deanna walked me through the different types of bed. Maybe 20/30 minutes in after trying 5/6 different beds, I had a good feel of what I was looking for however still wasn't 100% sure. There were so many things to consider: Which base to get? Is it worth the price to upgrade? Should I spend an extra $200-300 on a better bed? Can I settle for this one? Which one do I really like more? Would my boyfriend like it? At this point, Deanna was giving me prices and instead of writing these down so I can get a better picture and compare, she verbally told me how much everything was and how much discount I would get. It started to feel like a bad sales pitch. I was not ready to make a purchase so I told her and she just kept pushing asking me what my budget was and that she can make me a good deal. I understand that she was trying to make the sale however, if a customer tells you they are not going to purchase that day and they need time to think, GIVE THEM A LITTLE SPACE. She just kept asking me what she can do for me to at least put down a 10% down payment, I didn't even get to think about which base I wanted!! I felt so overwhelmed...... After a back and fourth conversation about "what she can do", I told her that I want my boyfriend to come try out the bed since he will also be sleeping on it. She then told me that we can try it out for four months after the purchase and if we do not like it, we can exchange it. Why would I spend $1,000 on something I'm not sure about? I'll have to go through all the trouble of having it delivered and set up to find out maybe I should have went with another one? Then needing to exchange it... She did not seem happy with me when I asked to make an appointment with my boyfriend to come back. To be completely honest, this makes me not even want to come back and make the purchase elsewhere. This was a very bad experience and I hope that this aggressive sales technique tones down a notch. read more

She made my experience at this mattress firm extremely enjoyable! The Mattress Firm overall was standard for any Mattress Firm. They had all the big name brands and most kinds of mattresses (inner spring, memory foam, latex, etc.). Because of the available options, finding something that's right for you should be doable within your shopping endeavor inside the store. Don't get the bed sheets in there, though!
