Mancino's is a solid choice in Midland for lunch or dinner. Pizzas, grinders, salads. Quality ingredients. I usually get the 9" grinder and have two lunches from the meal because their grinders are very big. Cheese bread is pull apart delicious. Pizzas offer lots of topping options. Let me paint a picture. I blew a tire going down the highway and had to go to discount tire. They told me it would be a 1 hour wait so I stopped in here for a quick bite to eat thinking it was just another mom and pop pizza shop with overly greasy and dull food at a high price. I got the new lobster grinder and it was 10 dollars I believe which is acutally lower than a lot of chain. The service wasn't super fast which is expected since it's a normal kitchen with out a streamline staff but man oh man when I got my hands on that grinder it was perfectly toasted with just the right amount of toppings as to not over power each other and the flavor was top of the line. Price to flavor no chain restaurant beats it nor does higher end restaurants. TLDR: if you want a grinder or a sub sandwich this is place. I can't speak for the pizza but I would come back. read more

Really good pizza and fast service. I like that they have a spacious dining area. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. I have noticed a difference in quality over the years especially in the sauce but it still tastes good. The Fred Bread is a must if you're a cheese bread lover. I want you to know that while my husband was eating the club grinder, he found 2 black hairs in it! One was about 3-4 inches long, and the other was shorter. It was neither of ours, because we are in our 70's and have gray hair. Perhaps the employees that are preparing the sandwiches should wear hair nets.  I hope you address this issue with them. No one wants to find hair in their food!  I would have returned the sandwich along with the hair, but we live in Hemlock. I picked up the sandwich on my way home from Costco. This is a solid staple in Midland. The grinders and pizzas are always a good option. So why four stars? Consistency is lacking here. Most of the time the food is good. However, sadly that's not always the case. About 25% of the time the food comes out less desirable. I live out of state & have dreamt of coming to this place after years & years away. It did not disappoint. The veggie grinder & cheesy pizzas put me through high school & college & they are still good today. The bread is what makes the grinder so good. The toppings aren't anything special, it's "just veggies" to some, but they don't skimp on cheese & the veggies compliment nicely, plus it's toasted it to perfection. The huge half sandwich is a great value. The pizza is a medium thickness crust with loads of cheese & whatever toppings you like. It's not a fancy restaurant, but casual family settings are nice when you want something quick & easy. I'll be back when I'm in town again....or maybe before I leave town this visit. read more

I was excited to see there was a Mancino's in midland because the Mancino's in Lapeer is phenomenal. The key to a great grinder in my opinion starts with the bread. The Mancino's in midland does not have good bread. It seems as though they buy of from the store rather than bake it fresh every morning. It was a let down. This is an "order at the counter, get your own drink and find a table" kind of place and I'm good with that! They have a very extensive menu with grinders, pizza and salads so you'd be hard pressed not to find something you like. I ordered the half Italian grinder and when it came to the table I literally asked if it was a whole sandwich, it's that big! The bread is toasted and the toppings are yummy with some unexpected surprises... mushrooms, a bit of ground sausage!? And the sandwich isn't overly piled with lettuce and tomato. It's a deliciously balanced sandwich. Hubby ordered a pizza which looked delicious and in law's ordered the chicken Alfredo which also looked great. All our meals came to the table hot too. Not much else to comment on since it was grab a bag of chips and fill my own soda but I would prefer Coke instead of Pepsi! Had lunch at Mancino's of Midland Food was good, place was clean, service was great. BUT then a young male worker came out to clear tables and such. This young man was wearing a Mancino Polo and tan shorts. You could easily tell he had been wiping his hands on his shorts all day. Shorts and shitt were filthy and he came drom the kitchen that way. I've been here a few times when I lived in Midland. It's not the super duper best place I've ever been to, but their grinders are very good. I always get the Pizza one, and you get a really large portion. They are a little bit expensive but it's not a place I would turn down going to. If I remember correctly, you get chips and a drink with your grinder, and you can get 2 different sizes. I believe they also offer pizzas and other "italian" foods. You order at a counter and they take your name after you order. You tget your drink and take a seat and they bring out your order in a basket. Mine usually takes about 5-10 minutes and it's always been fairly empty. read more

We like to go here for lunch at work. But they won't deliver to us on the weekend (that's when I work). It says on their menu that they deliver to businesses but everytime we call they tell us that they don't have anyone to deliver. On top of the false advertising the lady who takes the orders is usually rude to us when we call to ask if they have a driver. They have lost so much money in not being prepared. I can't decide if I like Jet's better than Mancino's pizza. Here the crust is thinner but has a wonderful flavor and the quality of the cheese is very good. Also the sauce is not too salty or tart for me. I think it depends on what type of crust I am in the mood for. Jet's is much thicker. I recently tried a Mancino grinder in Ludington. It was not well prepared, so my guess is some Mancino's are better than others. I would say the Midland Mancino's is a good one! read more

I've been a Mancino's fan of their grinders for years. However, the crab grinder has changed and not for the better. They are skimpy in the cheese and mayo. It makes for a very dry grinder. I've been avoiding them as a lunch stop for years because of this. I gave them a try again today........ still not cheese or mayo. Won't be stopping for a while. People may not get it, but i love this place top notch. I always bounced between the taco grinder and the vegetarian one, both mouth watering super dooper food im drooling just thinking about it. Food is good but management is TERRIBLE. The place I work for has called and ordered from them multiple of times for delivery and the orders have never been over $25. Well, apparently this rule is just dependent on whether or not the manager feels like working that day or not (he does the deliveries he rudely informed me). Some days he will deliver, other days like today, he will say he won't deliver because he doesn't "have the capacity" to deliver, then states it has to have the minimum $25 order....again, this policy changes frequently depending on said "manager's" mood. I will take my business to Jimmy John's from now on who are consistent with their policies, and are always friendly and happy to have my business. read more

Gave this place a couple more tries since December. It used to be my favorite pizza place. This was my follow up experiences... 1. Ordered an extra large pizza. The crust was stretched so far it looked like they just took a smaller crust and made it fit the pan. The edges were crisp as a result. The pepperoni was bleeding orange grease everywhere and once again the cheese was like plastic. 2. Ordered a large pizza and there was so much orange grease from the pepperoni it puddled in the corner of the box (which I sat on my leather car seat) and when I got home and set it on the counter I found it was leaking out of the box. Once again the cheese was like plastic. It used to be that you never needed to order extra cheese because there was so much on it. That second order above was suppose to be extra cheese but hardly had one topping of cheese on it. I know this place keeps changing hands but the changes made to the ingredients has been a massive downgrade. If I am paying 13 - 15 for pizza it better be good. Mancino's is no longer worth that amount of money. read more

We tried their Hawaiian pizza and Spitfire (spicy) grinder - very good! It satisfied my pizza cravings for sure. The guys at the counter were super friendly - they took our order, we got our drinks, sat down and they brought out the order to our table. Food came out quick, hot, and delicious. read more
