I used to go here when I lived at the apartments down the street, so this place was just a short walk to get takeout. And I remember loving their eggplant and garlic sauce entree. I always got their hot and sour soup which was also really good. I now live in Millersville and haven't been able to find a chinese restaurant that I like as much as them. I thought eggplant and garlic sauce was a typical vegetarian entree, but apparently that is hard to find over here. I don't have a reason to ever be in that area of Laurel again, but if some reason I were, I would definitely eat there again. read more

My favorite Chinese restaurant. Hands down. The staff is friendly, the food is awesome, and the prices are great. They don't deliver, but take out is always ready in 15 minutes or less. The food isn't too greasy or salty, and it's always flavorful. I've been coming here ever since I was a kid and it's always been good. The only thing on the menu I've ever gotten that I didn't like was the chicken curry. Everything else has been great. I highly recommend it! read more

Never ever ever again! We used to frequent this spot when we lived in the area but that was almost 4 years ago. The quality and taste of food has since decreased. We ordered from here two days ago and that evening we ate it. By 10pm my stomach was in so much pain and I developed chills and fever. I went to the ER thinking I had gallstones bc the pain was stabbing in my right side. I couldn't sleep all night so at 4 am we rushed into the hospital. They scanned me for everything in a CT Scan and couldn't find anything other than possible food poisoning. Sure enough I came home and started having severe diarrhea. The fever still lingered. I ordered the Jumbo Shrimp in garlic sauce and to my surprise the shrimp were actually jumbo in size and there were a significant amount included in the order. Wonton soup is excellent! Eggroll is thick and filled with cabbage and meat. Mandarin house chicken and Orange beef were ordered as a lunch special - eggroll and soup included. Main dish was not as good as soup and eggrolls but still was ok. I want to try other menus later. read more

Went with the family Sunday for lunch after church. Three of us had the Wonton/Egg Drop Combo Soup. The other two had Chicken Lettuce Wrap. Entrees were: shrimp w/lobster sauce, shrimp fried rice, sizzling steak, and two orders of morengo delight. I tasted everything and it was WONDERFUL!! I felt compelled to write my first review EVER on my experience trying out this restaurant. Ever since me and my dads favorite Chinese restaurant in Greenbelt, MD closed we have been forced to try different places, looking for our new "go to" place, as I am very picky and not willing to visit any "hole in the wall" type of places but i think we have finally found our new go to here! We visited yesterday for the first time and got a good vibe while being there and we ordered combination fried rice (no pork), shrimp with snow peas, chicken wings with sweet & sour sauce on the side, and spring egg rolls and we were extremely satisfied! Everything tasted great! The chicken was cooked differently than what we were used to but it did not disappoint! It had a beautiful crunch and crispy taste and everything was cooked and seasoned wonderfully... needless to say we will definitely be going back! My only regret is not taking pictures! read more

I got a $3.95 appetizer and pork fried rice with 2 extra eggs. The total was $15.79. They cut two small shrimp down the middle then battered it about 8 times to make it look like prawns. The bread was still batter on when I bit into the first one, the second "tempura shrimp" was the same. I got home and found out I just bought a box of fried rice dotted with a few pieces of pork and no visible egg at all. I asked if I was charged correctly before I left and he said the difference was for the extra egg. SMH I sincerely felt insulted. First and last time ordering there. read more

The Gen Tso's was great (really crispy) the egg rolls were good, and the garlic broccoli and won ton soup were ok. The soup broth was great, but the won tons noodle was weirdly undercooked. I hate having to write this... Haven't been in a while since we moved away but decided to go in a few months ago for a bite. I was seated with my back to the door in the first booth and DH was facing the door/register. He looked down and squinted and thought he saw something crawling on the floor at the adjoining table. A few moments later, he did it again and I turned around as well. Lo and behold, a small mouse. I yelped naturally and walked up to the register where the lady that always answers the phone was and discreetly told her that we saw Mickey Mouse. She began to yell in her native language and we packed up and paid our tab. Sadly, we all know that these things lurk in restaurants but to actually see it is another thing. Never fails! Hands-down, this is by far one of the BEST Chinese restaurants in the city of Laurel. Since my family moved to the Howard County side of Laurel, I was not able to receive delivery from my other favorite Chinese restaurant located near the hospital. I looked this place up on yelp to find out it had great reviews, and I must say yelp was right! The food is well seasoned, full of flavor and always taste fresh. At first I complained about the prices compared to other spots in Laurel, but Quality over quantity matters most. My children absolutely love the vegetable spring rolls. I had one for the first time on this visit and I fell in love. All of the fried products were crispy on the outside, nice and juicy on the inside. The general tso's chicken had just enough kick without being unbearable. I will keep coming to this place as long as my family resides in the area. Overall absolutely fantastic spot! read more

i had read reviews both positive and negative. i recalled the best reviews came from people who ate in the restaurant. since my in-laws flew in from out of town and they wanted to take us out as an anniversary present i suggested eating here. yes the decor is a bit cheesy (especially the stuffed fish on the walls) but the food was excellent. we each had a different dish, and each of us was pleased. my father in-law had the house special, my mother in-law had the soft shell crab, my wife had the walnut shrimp, and i had the kung-po chicken. all were delicious the owner directed me with obvious pride to the kung-po, saying it was the best in the county. i had to agree, my wife was actually sad she was too full to eat any more and had to take it home. i just have to say we will definitely be back. perhaps not for take out, but definitely to eat in. by far the best chinese in the laurel area. They do all the traditional dishes and do them extra well. They have excellent service and they have plenty of vegetarian options. About the only bad thing id say are not even the restaurants fault, such as being located in a shady shopping center. I wish they would describe their menu options a bit more..like what the heck is paradise chicken? Or Cleopatra chicken? But if you ask they will tell you. They don't deliver but its ok, they rock. read more
