Don't know what their quality of delivery food but I have always been pleasant with their buffet. I am a sales person and I cover the whole DMV literally just any town you can imagine not just the major cities. That being said, I eat out constantly, whether on a good day or bad day, been all kinds of restaurants or buffet from cheap 2-9dollar taco places or Asian restaurants to 50-100dollars high end restaurants in MD, by the way I highly recommend Topolino in Clinton, they used to be in Waldorf. Anyway that said, this tiny buffet place? I think they are by far the best place in all aspects, reasonable price, clean wow their food I just could tell so clean, by clean I don't mean they are healthy but just the way they prepare and present outside the utensils the plates. Maybe most food they serve generally on sweeet side but I mean yeah they should since they are doing business in majority white demographic small town. Anyway I give 5 man. Hands down, this is my children's favorite place to eat. Buffet is well stocked with cold and hot items. A good selection for vegetarians as well. The sushi is wonderful and fresh. Service is wonderful. The waitresses remember us each time for our drink orders. read more

Me and a friend dinned there last night and a few hours afterwards had horrible diarrhea and vomiting. Although a lot of the food was flavorful, we suspect they left most of it out too long or brought out leftovers from days prior. This is not the first time I had diarrhea after eating there. Mandarin Buffet is a blessing to Warrenton and an amazing value, dining in or taking out! It has many offerings that are reliably delicious, and every diner can choose their favorite meal. My husband can have dumplings, sushi and fruit while I delight in the garlic shrimp & chicken along with sautéed green beans. We both love the egg custard in a wonton wrapper as dessert treat. Fried food is always best very fresh, so I've learned to visit at peak meal time and watch for a fresh pan coming out if that's what I'm craving. Our go-to favorites hold up better over time and are healthier choices anyway. One of the great things about a buffet is the freedom to try a small amount of something new without committing to it as your main entree. It would be great to have a few more vegetable dishes and less batter fried food, but I always find something to enjoy and come away very satisfied. read more

Great price, clean place, good food. All you can eat buffet!

With this restaurant, everything comes down to timing. When you go during a rush, yes, you'll have to be more patient waiting for food, and yes, it will be a bit noisier, but the food will be hot and fresh. If you go between the rushes, food might be cold or overcooked from sitting on the hot bar too long. It's not the biggest buffet, but they have a decent selection. Also, I can't pass up an all you can eat lunch for roughly $11. Usually, you have to ask for a drink refill, don't expect it - service isn't fantastic. At dinner, the price is a bit higher and they specifically serve seafood - I actually prefer the lunch menu. Restaurant is always clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. read more

Incredible! I drive all the way from Fairfax to go here on a regular basis. The tempura is fabulous, sesame balls are the best ever, soups are done to perfection, huge selection of all kinds of chicken and spare ribs and beef, but tons of vegetables and fruits for the vegans. (Lots of sushi but that's not really my thing.) Price is so low I don't know how they stay in business. I have gone 4 times in the last few months, with different friends, and it's consistently great! Comfortable tables and booths with plenty of space so you aren't on top of another party. We went here last night and we were not impressed. It's small, run down, and is not "kid friendly". My kids were only able to find cantaloupe, jello, and ice cream to eat. Most buffets usually offer an island (or 1/2 island) with some American food for the kids with items like pizza, chicken nuggets, etc. The buffet area is very cramped, too. Two people can't get by each other in between the islands. It also cost too much for the selection and 'ambience'. Some of the food was dried out. How can you let your rice dry out? First and last experience at this restaurant!! Upon arrival grabbed first plate of food, wife returned with first plate as well. My wife mentioned there was a large black hair in the egg rolls on the buffet line. Went to see the hair, sure enough there was on there. Figured I would let someone know about it so they can correct the issue- probably not there fault being it is a serve yourself restaurant. Told the waitress and guy checking the food, they both folks saw the hair- five minutes later and multiple folks still getting food,?walked back up there hair saw STILL THERE!!!!! Walked out. As far as sushi buffets go, this one was great! Husband and I grabbed lunch today and we were greeted and seated quickly and the buffet looked lovely. Really liked the selection of sushi and the sashimi was fresh and tasty. Oh, and it is one heck of a steal in price! We will certainly be back! read more

This place is awesome! I googled buffet sushi near 20155 because my boyfriend wanted some sushi but did not want to go to Todai's in Fair Oaks Mall because of the super high price and the fact that I don't eat sushi. We went at dinner time and the price is around $11 or $12. There were raw oysters on the half shell, Cantonese style lobster, and lots of desserts including cakes and 4 choices of scoop-your-own ice cream. There were plenty of hot food choices ranging from items typically found on Asian buffets to more authentic items, as well as a small selection of sushi and a sushi chef working right at the buffet. We ended up going back for lunch on the weekend and it was only $8.55! It very similar items to the dinner buffet, the only differences were that there was no lobster and no oysters and the dessert selection substituted cake slices for cream puffs. I am very impressed with this restarant and I don't know how long its been there but I wish I'd found it sooner! It is located in the Harris Teeter shopping center in Warrenton and beware, when I plugged the address into navigation, it sent me in the opposite direction behind the Sears shopping center, so just make sure you go to the shopping center with the Harris Teeter and Longhorn Steakhouse. read more

For a strip mall buffet this place is pretty delicious. My husband, son, and I went on a Sunday afternoon and we were very happy with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the quality of food. There was a great selection and each dish had its own unique flavor. The price is very reasonable and the food very good. We will definitely be back! read more

Have gone to Mandarin several times for lunch, its a great deal. lots of choices from the hot food that is very well prepared. Some of the items can be spicey, which is nice because they are often bland at other places. The sushi is very good, only complaint is that the sushi rice is just ok. read more

Im not sure how this place has more than 2 stars..the presentation is nice and pretty but the food isnt. They dont have a huge selection and on top of that the food is not even that good.. Place was good and people were friendly only 2 negatives my wife's cup had a hole it which leaked and a dead roach on my sons plate. The good news was they spray for bugs it was a dried up roach. But I don't hold against them im a deliveryman I see them in the nicest places. And got 15 percent discount. And they have the best egg drop soup. read more

New chef? Past couple of visits haven't been as good. I am a big calamari fan and have always been dissatisfied with their rubbery version. That used to be my only complaint but things have been slipping. Last time I had cold breaded shrimp, overcooked grilled shrimp, overlooked small ribs and chewy beef. Buffet fixes a lot of problems since you can just move on and get a new plate. I still enjoy the cold shrimp, sushi, oysters, duck and whatever meat is on those sticks. Good veggies include the green beans, mixed veggies stolen from other entrees and the mushrooms. The sausage wonton and soups are great starters. Get the burner temps right and keep it fresh to get the quality back where it was. read more

If you listen to some of the excellent reviews on Yelp your going to feel duped...STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! This place is terrible in multiple ways. This was our first visit even though it's been open for sometime. Were the type of family who doesn't eat out much but when we do we like our service to be good along with our food. This place has neither! The waitress seated us at a table that they had just wiped down and it was soaked, the seats, the table...now this may seem minor which honestly it is to me too but when your nice pants get soaked it's annoying. Our server had a scowl on her face she never smiled, greated us, instructed us on what to do, mind you it was our first time in this restaurant and we weren't sure if they bring you plates or the plates were at the bar. This service was consistent she never took our plates or came to our table again after initially getting us drinks. She walked around the restaurant like she was miserable. The food was terrible, I have read other reviews on here that the food is cold, YES all of it was cold! It was disgusting! The sushi rice was under cooked which made it taste awful! The desserts even worse. All the supposed hot food items...cold! My favorite soup hot n sour was terrible. We left hungry at a buffet because we could only stomach little bits off our plates! We paid the tab and just walked out! Wasted $40 dollars....don't make the same mistake. I'll be trying Faang in Warrenton it was rated top 10 and I will never go to this restaurant again! read more

Food is okay but I wouldn't trust the cashier anymore. Did a take out on Weds. 10/21/15 and took it back to the office and as always the food was tasty and filling. However the following day I received a fraud alert from my bank saying that a charge of $298 and another for $250 was made on my VISA Check Card. I didn't those charges and the last place I used it was to pay for lunch on Weds. The first charge was to a on-line Chinese website. A bit too much of a coincidence to me. This place is really expensive and only has ok food, but I go here a lot. Literally the only reason I go here is because I LOVE their honey chicken, and can't find any other Chinese restaurant that serves it. While buffets aren't my favorite, and the family-friendly atmosphere doesn't lend itself to a quiet night out for two, if you are in the right frame of mind, the lack of ambiance is trumped by all of the temptations here which are simply too hard to resist . How can you knock sushi - and oysters on the half shell (even if they are a little small)? I used to eat at the other chinese restuarants in Warrenton and now I only go to the Mandarin or Tops when I am in a hurry. The food is excellent and the staff is very attentive. I have eaten there over 10 times and plan on going at least once a week. It is a great value for the price. I have lived in Beijing and the chicken is cooked just like the duck was at the fine restuarants in Beijing. I am a big fan of the Mandarin and frequent customers are treated like family. The sushi chef is from Tibet and speaks many languages. read more

Umm...look. I went twice. I was disgusted the first time...but I thought it was a fluke because everyone keeps rating it high. But no. It sucked...both times. The rice...which is like staple of Chinese food..was hard and dry...on BOTH visits. The terriayki chicken was dry dry dry. The spring rolls were so greasy that when I took a bite, oil dripped down my chin. The tempura vegetables tasted like vegetable oil. The egg drop soup was tasteless. I liked the General Tso chicken...but how can I eat that without rice and how can I allow myself to pay $9 when all I want is a plate of General Tso's chicken? We went for dinner on a Sunday and dinner on Christmas Eve. I was so disappointed both times. I am sad I have to rate this place so low, but it is the worst Chinese buffet I've ever been to. Even the *dessert* was awful. I'm not sure how you can mess up a packaged brownie...except when you leave it out for so long that it crumbles like soil when you touch it.
