Very good price, nice big restaurant and it was pretty busy during lunch when I went which is usually a good sign. Sushi selection was awesome! So many choices, and nothing I didn't like. Absolutely unacceptable experience. I found a hair in my food, which is already bad enough -- but when I brought it to the staff's attention, they were dismissive and completely unprofessional. The person I spoke with literally walked away in the middle of our conversation, offering no apology or solution. There was zero accountability, and no one seemed to care that I had a legitimate concern. This kind of service is disgraceful. Probably more like a 3.5 star. I haven't found many Chinese buffets in the northern VA area that were good, but this was surprising by comparison. It's a little on the small side, but that probably helps to keep things a little faster in rotation and a little more fresh. There was a bit more sushi than I expected (didn't try it this time.) So...we went here without any sort of expectation since chinese buffet restaurants are pretty much the same. However, this got to be one of the most dissapointing chinese buffet place we have been. Selection of food weren't that great. Foods either had too much or too little seasoning. Some foods were't even warm. Food: The food was just as good as most Chinese buffets. I really enjoyed the chicken and broccoli dish, the teriyaki ribs, and the Chinese donuts. My husband really like the sushi and said it was very good quality for the price. Ambiance: The restaurant is very cute, and looks very nice compared to most other Chinese buffets. Service: Our service was fantastic. Christine was a great server and took care of us very well. The other servers helped as well for a very clean (they took the empty plates the second we were done) and friendly experience. Christine was grace under fire. The table behind us pointed out a mistake on the menu. Then proceeded to ask for alcohol to go. Christine kindly told him it was illegal to serve alcohol to go but she could get it for him for here. He said "I did you a favor, can't you just do me a favor and give it to me to go?" WHAT A JERK. But Christine was still very kind to him. She deserves a medal. We will be coming back! read more

5-star Chinese and Sushi buffet. Food was hot, fresh and tasty. Restaurant was clean and staff was attentive. Great selection of food and the sushi was excellent with a great selection. Really enjoyed some of their chicken dishes. Could use some more themed artwork on the walls to add to the ambiance and the "muzak" was relaxing but got old after a while, but I'd still go back the next time I'm in the area. Tonight me and my family, a total of 3 of us came to the buffet around 8 pm and there was only one family in the restaurant eating. Now when we go there, we always do take-out to get our food. Typically, there is usually no issues but tonight rubbed me completely the wrong way. As my family was starting to grab our food, I'm noticing that now all the cooks decide to come out of the kitchen onto the floor. I'm not sure why, because the place wasn't even busy. Not only was everyone on the floor but now your in the way, basically just standing around staring at us. One of the cooks literally was standing in the walkway basically blocking my path to get the rest of my food. Personally I don't appreciate being stared at when I'm trying to get my food in peace. Now as we're walking up front for me to pay for our food, nobody is at the register. Now the problem wasn't that nobody was at the register, the problem was I'm literally standing there watching the entire crew just walking around in circles, chatting while looking directly at us standing there WAITING for somebody to come up front so I can pay for our order. We actually stood there for awhile before a lady decided to finally come to register. At this point I'm already aggravated because of the stare down but now we're waiting for what ???? It's not like it was packed, which it never is the times I have stopped in there. So now the lady comes up so I can pay...no apologies for the actual wait or nothing. One thing, I don't do is disrespect, especially at an establishment that I frequented which food isn't all that great. I've been to plenty of Chinese buffets and this one is by far the worst. I just moved here a month ago but I'm from out of state but I've been to Chinese buffets where the treatment was top tier and never had bored workers just staring me down every where I moved.....I definitely DO NOT recommend this place at all unless you want people to stare at you and follow you around everywhere you move SMH read more

Great shopping center Chinese buffet. Very clean and the buffet area has sanitation measures in place. Steady flow of customers during my visit on a late Sunday afternoon and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Food was above average and there is a full time sushi chef working the bar. I do recommend this place and I will be back. read more

OH yeah, Warrenton...you got it good to have a Chinese restaurant of this caliber. Working in the Warrenton office once again. Some of my colleagues recommend this place for lunch. Big WOW, asian style. What a great all you can eat buffett, $11 bucks including beverage. Hey, try the sweet tea. They have excellent fried rice. Everything I tried was great. The pork, the beef and especially the shrimp. Usually the sping rolls at places like this are dry and tasteless. No so here, very tasty and fresh. I don't know why I'm surprised to find a place like this in Warrenton, but I am. I've gone several times for the lunch buffet and it's been busy every time. For a buffet place, that's a good thing because nothing is worse for trays of food sitting around than no one eating them. Sushi is very good here. Stopped by for the first time ever on our way back home from a ski trip. We were extremely hungry and definitely knew we wanted to try an all you can eat place. I usually stay away from Chinese style buffets because most places use really bad quality ingredients, so this place was an extremely nice surprise. I took a risk getting the sweet and sour chicken to begin with, but imagine my surprise when I bite into it and it's actual lean chicken breast!!! It all went uphill from there! Our server refilled our drinks constantly without us even having to ask and the rest of the staff was friendly as well. The only reason why I do not give this place 5 stars is because of the fried shrimp. They were cold and dry from the inside, which made it almost impossible to peel. Also, their dessert selection is also lacking some variety, maybe adding flan or a signature Asian dessert would make it a hit! read more

Have been coming here for years. It's the first place we were introduced to peanut avacado rolls and every time we've come in (almost weekly) for years, there they were. Then they were gone and we were informed that they didn't put them out because of some peoples' peanut allergies but they would always happily make them for us. Today when we asked for them, we were told, VERY nastily, that we could have the fish sushi that was out but they were not going to make us the peanut avacado rolls. There was no manager on duty to speak with so this is sadly our last visit here and we will no longer recommend the place. This place is amazing for what it is. I often come here after school the staff are always friendly. It can get pricey since they charge per pound for the buffet but otherwise, I recommend the sugar buns, teriyaki chicken sticks, and oddly enough the clams. I'm a massive fan of clams in general but I didn't think they'd be so good from a small buffet like this. Spring rolls are also excellent. read more

I used to go here all the time when it first opened years ago but now it is absolutely disgusting. The food is terrible, never any sushi, and I've heard about some concerning pictures. The pictures supposedly showed carcasses hanging from sticks in a delivery lot behind the restaurant which they explained as "the curing process". I've also heard these carcasses don't look like chicken or any meat they serve, more like rabbit or squirrel... ew, don't take your chances. read more

This place used to be really great. It used to be one of my favorite places to eat in Warrenton. I used to enjoy taking my family there. Not anymore. My family and I won't be going back there, ever. The last few times we've gone, the food that is out on the buffet looks and tastes like it's been sitting there for way too long. Complaining doesn't do any good, because the staff doesn't care. They don't have the same selection that they used to have, and yet their prices have gone up somehow. Many of the trays sit empty for long periods of time, without being refilled. Do not go to Mandarin. I hate to see businesses close down, but this place really needs to close with the way it's currently being run. I don't know what happened to them. They won't get anymore chances from us. We've given them enough chances to improve, but they just haven't. It's disgusting and disappointing. I would compare it to eating out of a garbage bin. The food and service has definitely gone downhill. On top of that we had 8 people and an 18% gratuity was added on to the bill. My understanding is that tipping is for wait staff at a full service restaurant. Where they actually get paid less and have to actually serve you! 18% for a self service buffet is outrageous and adding insult to injury the girl only brought the first round of drinks and we never saw her again! Mandarin Buffet & Sushi offers a $12 all-you-can-eat sushi buffet that will leave both your stomach and wallet full and satisfied. While it's not the most spectacular buffet, it does the job well. In regards to the sushi buffet, it has all the staples and a few extra frills. They have many salmon and tuna roll variations as well as California rolls, spicy tuna rolls, rainbow rolls, and some salmon and white salmon nigiri. I was hoping they would have some tempura rolls but they didn't. Not a big deal, didn't ruin my night in the least. Other seafood: raw oyster, crab cake, steamed crabs, mussels, various shrimp dishes. The freshness was mediocre but again, I wasn't looking for anything high-class and it's not like the buffet advertises itself as a fine dining establishment. What I really liked were the four different soups they had! The egg drop soup was really delicious-- especially after throwing in a handful of crunchy wontons. The desserts weren't that interesting. We tried this place for the first time late Sunday afternoon/early evening after seeing a matinee in Manassas. To start off, I REALLY dislike buffets, but only deigned to try this place because of all of the positive reviews here. Thus, I'd give it THREE stars because the place is clean, steam-trays are constantly refilled, & cold foods are COLD, & hot foods are HOT; but just TWO STARS for the quality of the food. The food itself is, for the most part, plain-Jane dismal. Hubby had the Egg Drop Soup - nothing special. I had the Hot & Sour soup, which was surprisingly both "hot" (aka spicy) & "sour" (aka vinegary). Not much "stuff" in it though - just tofu, shredded bamboo shoots, & a few stray sliced button mushrooms. I tried the "fried pork dumplings", one cold New Zealand Mussel with Chili Sauce, some cold Calamari with Chili Sauce, some Seaweed Salad, one piece of octopus sushi, one baked clam, & some chicken something or other. Dumplings were good, mussel tasted unbelievably stale, calamari was excellent, seaweed salad was awful & unbearably sweet for some reason (& I LOVE well-prepared seaweed salad), sushi was just "ok", the baked clam was absolutely AWFUL!!!!! - no clam anywhere & soaked in grease - I took one bite & left the rest, & chicken something-or-other was mundane. Hubby declared his platter as "just okay". He had mostly fried shrimp & chicken, some sushi rolls, & some Kung Pao Chicken. Said it was nothing better than a low-brow takeout joint. For dessert, hubby had a tiny "Napolean", which he barely choked down; I had some fruit (canned peaches, pears, & a mixed fruit salad). Nothing special. Oh, & my iced tea was nothing more than barely-tea-flavored water. Blehh. Prices are really cheap, & there's obviously a reason for that. Our all-you-can-eat dinner came to around $27.00. So we won't be back, but if you're into cheap buffet places, at least you won't get poisoned here. Everything is scrupulously clean & temps are kept where they're supposed to be. read more
