Bingsoo is good, toppings were good. This is just a standard Bingsoo dessert that you can't really mess up. However, the ambiance can be greatly improved. The cleanliness was not it, which really prompted me to just to want to bring the Bingsoo to-go and leave the establishment. There was a lack service as it was self service, the only human interaction was having our Bingsoo brought up or us being asked to walk to the counter to get our own Bingsoo. Make the environment better and this will surely bring in more customers and make it enjoyable to devour the delicious white snow. read more

Prefer the Newark location over this since it has a bigger parking lot. Hard to find parking in the Alameda location on a busy weekend. Dessert wise it's the same in both Newark/Alameda. Ordered the green tea and strawberry flavored ones. I preferred the strawberry but other party members preferred the green tea. Bathroom door was broken (couldn't lock) and there was signage. The boba drinks are delicious but we love the mango bingsoo from here even more. It's very comparable to the ones we've had in North Shore, Oahu. The snow ice is perfectly soft and doesn't melt quickly. The mangoes are super sweet. We appreciate the evaporated milk on the side and the extra mangoes and ice cream at the bottom of the bowl. Order using a kiosk inside. Staff is very friendly and costumer service oriented. The place is clean and perfect temperature regardless of the weather outside. read more

I have fond memories of going to the Mandros in Davis so I was so excited to see one open up in Alameda! It's a smaller boba shop located in downtown Alameda so parking can be a bit tough but there's usually a decent amount of street/ metered parking depending on when you go. You order through a self-serve kiosk and they have the standard variety of milk and flavored fruit teas, along with some more unique options like taro avocado drinks and bingsoo! Service was fairly quick and we got the Cheese Strawberry drink with tofu pudding and the Passionfruit tea with coconut jelly. Unfortunately both were a bit of a disappointment as the Cheese Strawberry drink was extremely sweet despite asking for 30% sugar and the Passionfruit tea tasted watered down. I did like the tofu pudding topping and thought this was a more unique topping you don't normally get at boba shops! Totally understand that they just opened and I definitely want to come back to try their bingsoo as this is what they're known for but drinks-wise I was underwhelmed, especially considering how much I loved the Mandros in Davis. read more

I got the matcha and red bean. It was bland and nothing offset the bitterness of the matcha. Towards the end I just felt like I was eating ice. I told the employee and he put some more condensed milk on at no extra charge. It helped a little but not much. The place from Las Vegas I usually go to is much better. When I first walked in, there were no employees or any customers inside. The place was completely empty but it was also tidy and clean. You order everything at the kiosk. The only time an employee came out from the back was when the food was ready and they were calling out the order number. I wanted to try the strawberry bingsoo but they were out of strawberries so I settled on the mango bingsoo and it was delicious. The mangoes tasted fresh and sweet. The shaved ice had great texture and with the condensed milk, it was still creamy when I got to the bottom. If you don't know how to eat the bingsoo, pour the first container of condensed milk evenly on top. You might need to remove some of the fruit or topping on top first or else the milk can easily spill off the bowl. Once you've eaten half of the bingsoo, pour the other container of condensed milk evenly on top. read more

This hole in the wall place was surprisingly fun to get dessert. On the outside, it doesn't look very nice. The dinning area is small and often packed with patrons. But their drinks and Bingsoo are very well made. You order from the screens and will have little interaction with the staff. But the drinks and deserts come out very quickly. We go mainly for their milk tea. All the flavors we've tried are really good and we love that they are open late. Place seems to always be busy and occasionally adds a little longer wait time, but not too long. Service is good I guess? I can't recall interacting with any workers since you're ordering from a kiosk, but they do make great consistent drinks. We ordered for delivery recently (wasn't DoorDash or Uber eats) because none of us wanted to drive and circle around for parking and it was the fastest delivery ever! Such a cute new addition to Park Street!! Service here is pretty simple, either order through the kiosk or the counter. Kiosk is usually a go-to when it gets crowded but if you catch them on a slow day, you'll get a nice warm welcome. Their bingsoos are a must try if you're here especially with your friends. I've had their mango, chocolate, and strawberry. Out of the three mango is my favorite but they're all delicious! Their mandro milk tea with boba was good. First thing you notice before you walk in are dirty windows and ripped signage...and as you make your way in is the smell of sweat and body odor. Then you see the dirty seat cushions and curtains. Nevertheless, we placed our order for a large Imjon Bingsoo because previously the Matcha Bingsoo we had before was good. The total came to almost $20!! As we were waiting for our order, we were wondering why the store was empty on a nice warm day, we got our answer when we got our Bingsoo...this thing had just a few toppings and tasted like we were eating just shaved ice....very disappointed because we love Bingsoo, but not flavorless ice. Previously they would charge you tips without letting you know (ex if you select dine in), I only noticed the tips being added from the receipt many times after being there (and being charged). Recently, they don't even print the receipts anymore. When I select receipts to see how much I end up getting charged, no receipts come out the recent few times I went. The small sized bingsoo was enough to feed 3 adults and it was delicious! Although we just came from lunch. We had the mango flavor with real mango pieces and poured condensed milk on top; then as you get to the center/bottom some more sweet milk and mango flavored cream inside the bingsoo. I also got the cold grapefruit yakult tea, it came in a really nice tall cup that can be reused. The grapefruit tea had good flavor with 30% ice and sweetness, but not as pictured, because I thought it would have actual grapefruit pieces inside, and it did not. The yakult came separately because the cup was entirely filled with the tea and my one topping, making it $7.54 sans tip. Ambiance: the place is small like most tea/dessert shops. Bathroom is no-no, the door doesn't lock and the light was out, it looked dirty but i just needed to wash my hands, sink work and i think the toilet does/wasn't going to stick around to find out. Order from a tv kiosk stand but I think one should be able to call for a worker to order/pay via cash (a teenager did this because he apparently knew the teenager that worked there). read more

I've ordered here around 6 times in the last month. The caffeine free smoothie drinks have SO much promise. Unfortunately, the service and the way this establishment operates is terrible. Customers are expected to order at one kiosk (which is broken half the time) and you're on your own until you can catch someone's eye in the back to help you. The kiosk has very little detail on the menu or ingredients. Half the time, items are sold out but it'll be a surprise after you pay. They need better description details and update your kiosk process... or have knowledgeable workers willing to help! This shop is relatively new, but already seems so run down. Dirty, no / very little soap in the bathroom on more than one occasion. The boba tends to be a little raw/ chewy. Sometimes it's manageable, other times not enjoyable. This is my cry for more attention to detail in this shop because truly they have some star boba combos!!! Please get it together, I'd love to support your shop. read more

I am so happy to have this location closer to home. This is my kids' favorite shave snow place, so instead of being a place only for the weekends because it's so far away, in theory we can now come here after school for a wonderful treat. I say in theory because we've only come on a weekday around dinner time, and there were plenty of seats then. I can imagine how busy they'd get after school and will join in the rush one of these days. Ordering is very easy via touch screen or at the counter if a worker isn't busy making the desserts. After ordering, find a table, wait for your number to be called, then go to the counter to pick up your dessert. I really wanted to like this place since it's so close to my house and I'm a big fan of Mandro but unfortunately, the Newark and Milpitas locations are much better. It seems like they did not shave the ice on the spot like the other locations where you can even hear them using the machine. The ice clumped together and the texture of finely shaven ice wasn't there.. It seems like they shaved the ice earlier, then set it in the freezer for later. If you know good bingsoo, the texture of the ice is important. They did not put as much mango as the other locations either. This area is located down town so it's pretty busy but on the plus side if you play pokemon go there's a lot of gyms and poke stops nearby. This place is usually busy but there has never been any issues with my order. It taste amazing every time. I haven't tried the deserts yet, but the drinks were decent. The first time we went here, we did not have a very good experience. We waited about 25-30 mins for our drinks, and when our drinks were done, we realized that 1 out of our 3 drinks were missing. We let them know of the situation, so they went back into the kitchen and made it for us. No apologies at all. Just brought out the drink after 10 minutes and handed it to us like nothing happened. And then today, we decided to give this place another try because everywhere else was closed due to Thanksgiving. We ordered a total of 4 drinks this time. There was not many customers at the shop at all; however, we waited a while for our drinks again. There were people who came in after us that received their drinks before us. Which, I did not understand because all 4 of our drinks were the same thing. And when we finally received our order, a topping that we paid for was not in the drink. My boyfriend called out to the employees, but no one in the kitchen responded. After 5 minutes of waiting for someone to come out, one of the employees peeked his head out of the curtains so I let him know that they forgot our topping. He apologized about it and added it in, but it felt as if they knew they forgot it and that's why they ignored us when we were calling out to them.
