My son has OT a couple doors down, and this is our go to boba spot now. We are here every almost every week. Simple menu. Kiosk for easy and quick ordering. And they typically have drinks out quick. Snacks are pretty good. They come out a bit later. Staff always friendly. And we typically are able to grab a table inside or outside, if we wanted to relax a bit before heading back to our car. My go to drink is the Mango Coco or Mango Creme. My son usually gets a Taro when we go out for boba at other places. But, he doesn't like the Fresh Ube here, so he gets the Strawberry Potion or Strawberry Shake. The bentos are pretty good. We got the boys boxes for lunch once. Very good portions. I visited once when they first opened and did not love what I ordered at the time, mostly because of personal preference, but today's visit changed my impression. Parking is still not ideal since it is all metered and the Grand Lake area is usually busy. Inside, the space is bright, lively, and generally clean. I also appreciate that the menu includes photos, which makes choosing much easier. I ordered the jasmine green tea with sweet creme and really enjoyed it. The tea flavor is on the stronger side, but the creme balances it out nicely. I also ordered the spicy popcorn chicken, and it was fresh, well‑seasoned, and extra crispy just like I requested. We came for drinks and snacks and ended up trying the Roasted Oolong milk tea with added boba, mango osmanthus fruit tea, popcorn chicken and calamari. While we got both drinks less sweet, I think they still could have had even a bit less syrup/sugar. The boba was chewy and pleasant but the jelly in the fruit drink was a bit overpowering Both the popcorn chicken and calamari could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading. We did appreciate how they stayed crispy and were freshly fried. The calamari breading was oddly a bit coconut tasting which was unexpected. Both looked small but as we ate, we still had lots so the portion size is pretty generous! Been wanting to try Suptea since they're the newest boba kid in the Grand block. They really don't have much competition. The closest boba spots are either Downtown or in Piedmont! Came by to get some bento fried chicken thighs for a quick dinner. They nearly forgot my order, so I had to wait an extra 15 mins, but it's ok. They have lots of seating inside so you can dine in or enjoy some convo with your friends in their shop. They also allowed me to bring my dog in while I waited. The bento is pretty filling. I liked the flavors of the chicken thighs, kind of reminds me of katsu but not as crispy. A little heavy on the sauces which made it a little too salty. But I liked that there were like two steamed broccoli and perfectly cooked white rice. Their ube drink looked pretty good and caffeine-free, it was alright though. Flavor tasted powdered and their honey boba is more translucent and lighter in texture than real tapioca pearls. I liked that they played Cantonese music overhead. I ordered the Suptealab milk tea expecting some kind of classic house milk tea. What I got looked and tasted just like milk. I asked a worker to clarify that they hadn't forgotten to put in the tea and she told me if I wanted it stronger, I should have ordered light ice. I showed her the drink and explained that I did in fact order light ice. She still insists that there's tea in it, it's just VERY light tea. took it home to my boyfriend and asked him to try it without hinting at anything and he immediately said "this just tastes like milk" The worker said to try a different milk tea next time, but there won't be a next time. A and I have eaten fresh kyoho many times before and thought it tasted just like. shared the salt and pepper tofu, light spice - thin, perfectly crispy coating, super hot and so so soft inside. Just because the suptea lab had a citrus flavor to it, it also had bits of passion fruits as well. For the grape tea, it came with grape jelly. This drink tasted nostalgic, it tasted similar to grape juice, which I had as a kid before. Overall, it was pretty good! The customer service was so nice as well. Been here multiple times now, boba is pretty high quality and such a treat to end our day of thrifting and walking around the Grand Lake area. The menu of specialty drinks is small, which is a good sign! I've had the Mango Coco, Coco Fresh Ube, and the Overly Peach. I love that they use real fruit, and the flavors are really spot on. The Coco Fresh Ube was also delicious, not too heavy or sweet. Really refreshing. So far, my favorite drinks include the Strawberry Potion and Jasmine Milk Tea, both with boba. I really like the boba texture here. It is a little on the softer side. I know some folks may like slightly firmer boba. An honorable mention is the ube milk tea drink, which has tasty morsels of ube. Service so far has been good. People have been friendly and my drink/s has come out relatively quickly, within 5 mins. Popcorn chicken usually comes out after a little while longer. Have been here twice, the first time was during the opening BOGO weekend and came again this week. I've tried their Thai milk tea and Ube drink and my sisters tried their mango and passion fruit drinks as well. We've liked everything we've tried so far.
