    Spicy chicken feet
    Zarin B.

Such an amazing hole in the wall with authentic Korean food and family style seating. Loved the galbi, kimbap, bibim namyeoung, and the spicy chicken feet!! Everything was seasoned perfectly and the chicken feet were actually super spicy. We each got a bowl of rice too and a platter of banchan to share! I absolutely must go back to try more dishes.

    고등어조림

I enjoyed the homey atmosphere of the restaurant (it reminded me of the 백반집 style of restaurant that's common in Korea). I thought the banchan they gave us were decent until I had the 깍두기 - it tasted extremely sour and vinegary, almost like it had spoiled. When I informed the cook about this, I was told, "The Koreans eat it all the time." The 제육덮밥 looked tasty but lacked flavor - definitely a disappointment. The 고등어조림 I had was very delicious with plenty of meat and good seasoning. The radish in the stew had a nice soft texture. However, the stew had been cooked a bit too long since the sauce at the bottom of the bottom tasted a bit burnt (but definitely edible, and I still ate most of it). Overall, I didn't have a terrible experience, but considering the mixed food results and the cook's disappointing response to my concerns about the 깍두기, I do not plan on returning.

As they say, it's what's on the inside that counts. Don't let the exterior discourage you from trying this place. The small building provides a nice home-y atmosphere with friendly wait staff and lively customers. I ordered the Ramen + Kimbap set as a light meal only costing me $14. Definitely worth the price! Lots of food for a low cost! A win in my book! (The photo shows what remains after I devoured most of the amazing Kimbap) While the rest of Annandale has become a metropolis for foodies, you cannot beat going back to basics and having a meal that feels home cooked. I cannot recommend this place enough. I am only giving this place 4/5 stars to deter other people from finding this gem.

The interior of this place is small and very compact but it reminds me of a little mom and pop store I'd see in Korea. The ambiance is very Korean like which I appreciate. The food is not top tier but it's definitely better than YECHON HANDS DOWN! If you need an affordable well rounded healthy yet delicious meal. I recommend this spot for Korean food. The service is nice as well. All the workers are prompt and attentive to customers. They remind me of my grandparents and aunts in Korea.

    Spicy pork belly mild

I wanted to update my last review because I forgot to take pictures last time I came. We ordered a lot of the same stuff as last time, so read my other review for thoughts on the Seafood Pancake and Seafood Tofu Soup but overall I'm consistently impressed with the amount of seafood in the dish. They don't skim out despite having affordable prices. The banchan- I loved the sweet potato and fish cake (as you can tell from the fact we got seconds). Kimchi is also solid and a classic. Instead of the octopus this time, we ordered a spicy pork belly but a mild because we are wimps and the tofu soup was already a medium. I would say get the medium instead because the mild didn't have as much flavor as I would have liked. I expected there to be more fatty pieces of pork belly, but there was 1 or 2. This plate came out sizzling and it was good overall, but I liked the octopus even more. The person I brought with me here was also really impressed. Great restaurant, small and cozy atmosphere. This place is the real deal if you're looking for authentic Korean in Annandale.

Brought back memories of experience in Korea with a small and cozy mom-and-pop restaurant serving all the authentic Korean food options. Greeted upon entering with a smile, the restaurant offers a few tables. We opted for take-out, which was prepared fresh. Overall was a good experience; however, the cleanliness could be improved for a more comfortable and pleasant dining experience. Enjoy!

Great little hole in the wall, Korean comfort food location. Same woman has been running this restaurant for years. The food is always hot and delicious, just like grandma use to make.

This place is a whole in the wall very authentic Korean place! The places ambiance was very authentic! The lady who owned the place and who served me was really nice and modified the bimbap to accommodate my dietary needs (I do not need eat red meat). The service was good! It was very fast! They give you complimentary bon chon before the meal/while waiting for the meal! All six items were good! I got the soju alcoholic korean drink which was VERY strong, I would not recommend if you are driving! I got the kimbop which was really good! It was just like sushi never had it before! I never had ttebokki before! I personally am not a fan of it but would recommend coming here to try it if you are curious! The veggie bibimap was very good! I also never had it before! She modified it to add tofu for me! I would recommend this place if you are looking for authentic experience!

We had the fishcake and kimbap combo as well as spicy naengmyun. A small business run by a mother and son. Loved the service and the food was amazing as snack food that hits the spot. Parking can be hard to find if you come during lunch and dinner since there are multiple spots in 1 area sharing 1 small parking.

A long time favorite of mine for authentic Korean food for delivery, I finally had the chance to visit in person and it was better than I expected. The ambiance is very cozy and very hole -in-the-wall mom and pop shop; it is a small space but they have efficient and very friendly service that you don't feel rushed when it gets packed! Since it was cold out, we went with their seollangtang (which is not on their actual menu but you can request it!) and their fishcake kimbob. Their seollangtang is one of the best I've had, it was incredibly rich, flavorful, nutritious, and it had hit the spot on the cold day. They are known for their kimbob and their fishcake kimbob is a classic favorite of mine time! Their banchan is very fresh -especially their kimchi. Overall one of my favorite Korean places in the area and definitely would recommend if you like authentic and delicious Korean food.

This is a small mom & pop type of set up spot. When I mean small, I mean SMALL. Better than a hole in the wall. Oh my word the samgye-tang is home made. How do I know? It taste just like my mums and the soup is the same color & it makes your lips smack from the pure protein. A lot of Korean restaurants will add a floury or white powder to make it look like it's a nice pure creamy milky protein packed soup, but nah. That's fake. THIS THOUGH. this. samgye-tang. Is BOMB. they got that date. Garlic. Ginger root. Sticky rice. The mandu, oi, I can't say i hate it. I love it. It's not packed or stuffed like a turkey, which I'm used to cause my mum & grandma liked more stuff than the wrap. Though, this was delicious. Oi. And the price is so generous. If anyone made mandoo before, you know the labor and how long it takes to make a batch of 100. The spicy chicken, order it if you like spicy & flavorful. That's all I'll say.

A Korean snack bar hole in the wall with seriously good food! TBH we settled here because we were tired of going to KFC joints and this was the only place open past 930p. We had some ttuk bokki, Oden soup (to wash down the spices), and original Gimbap. The ttuk boo ki + Gimbap combo for 12.98 is a steal for the times of inflation!

Mandu Lang Kimbob Eiang in Annandale is a hidden gem! Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior though because the food inside is a burst of amazing flavors. Came here on a Saturday for lunch and the restaurant was packed! The side dishes are always my favorite at a Korean restaurant, and they offered a wide variety and unlimited refills! The chives dumplings looked like they were home made and have thin skins and lots of veggie filling. The spicy squid stir-fry (which also came with rice) packed a punch of flavors and heat that I absolutely loved. The Young Summer Radish Kimchi noodles are cool and refreshing on a hot summer day. The two of us were super full afterward! Highly recommend if you are looking for authentic Korean comfort food in the area!

We ordered a spread: gyoza with sweet and spicy sauce, kimchi pancakes, fried shrimp, soy garlic wings, takoyaki, LA galbi, and jjampong with noodles... plus way too many drinks. We arrived early and scored prime seats by the bar, which turned out to be perfect, especially once the night shifted into more of a club vibe with a DJ. The energy was great, and most of the food was surprisingly delicious -- everything hit except the jjampong. We were expecting udon noodles, but it came with thin, clear noodles instead, and the flavor was a bit off for us. That said, the staff handled everything perfectly, and it didn't take away from the rest of the experience. Between the food, drinks, and nightlife atmosphere, we had an awesome time and will definitely be back. I don't understand how someone can screw up Korean food in Korean town. Every restaurant in the area gets better and better. Competition is high. The price is on the high end. What was especially good was the delicious black bean sauce that came with the rice. I thought the tasty miso soup was excellent, very rich and silky. Banchan was kimchi, Danmuji fruit and slices of white onion. Accompanying the banchan was a dipping sauce that was similar to, but not the same as the black bean sauce. I will definitely be back.
