Nice surprise from the spouse as I worked late Saturday - a usual delight turned sour quickly. As a pizza lover - I'm one who accepts a mediocre pie from time to time but this bland nightmare with an off tasting sauce and clearly canned s'rooms with a funky chemical taste had me trashing it and going for a PB&J. Kind of gotten used to Mandy's being catch as can - the quality of the product being driven by whoever's in the kitchen, but this was scary-bad. read more

A must-have. The best "works" hot dogs on this planet, no exaggeration. The finger rolls are amazing as well and perfect for picnics/BBQs. We stop here every time we pass by, and often come to buy the hotdogs and rolls in large numbers for parties (call ahead for big orders, they're great at having them ready on time). If you're ever traveling far upstate and need to visit a legit pizzeria, Mandys is THE ONLY pizza and sub spot you should go to. This 5 star rating is taking a lot into account. The location is easy to get to. Prices are out of this world affordable. Food is made wildly fresh. Service is amazing behind the counter. There is extremely limited pizza options up here (besides cardboard Pizza Hut and Dominoes) so they deserve all the credit. My friends and I visit Fort Edward every year for the hot air balloon festival. Last year we decided to stop and get some pizza and sammies before heading back to NYC. It was the best decision we've made when it comes to food up here. We stopped here again this yr and it looks like Mandys is trending up. They've got (named) breakfast sandwiches available now. They (maybe always) have partnered with a bakery and get all their rolls n baked goods fresh from there, which was relieving to know. We ordered classic breakfast sandwiches (the Kylie) bacon egg n cheese & ordered a maple turkey bacon m cheese sub with Lett, toma, mayo. We all loved our food and will be back next year. GREAT people, prices, and food. We found Mandy's at the Fort Edward Farmer's market a few years back and fell in love. Of course, it was the finger rolls and pies! We're local hardworking people with "glamping" campsites sites on our land in Argyle. We laid low the past CoVid season. Now that we are out again, our fam of four returned to their store on Burgoyne. We have tried everything but the pizza so far, and this place is a family-pleaser. From awesome, GENEROUS SUBS made with fresh ingredients (hubby had a 6" turkey bacon that I wanted to wrestle him for!) to your basic hot dog, you can't go wrong here. Even their beverage selection was impressive. They have a few small tables inside and a few picnic tables outside, and all of the facility was nice and clean. We were served by a grown woman and younger lady, and although the first lady was all-business, she still had a sweet and fun demeanor. She had no problem letting my 11 yr old boy try the meat sauce to see if he liked it first (he did, most people would, it's like ketchup and ground beef). The hot dogs are served on perfectly toasted HOUSE MADE ROLLS. The younger employee ran outside while we were ordering and made sure the picnic area was ready without any prompting from anyone. (Thank you!) When we were done with our lunch, we all took advantage of the wonderful house-made PIES! My kids each got a mini, which is more than enough for anyone, and hubby spoiled us and got a very beautiful chocolate cream pie. EVERYTHING was great. It is so hard to get a satisfying experience anywhere anymore, but THIS PLACE shows it's possible. Mandy's is top-notch, with food made by people who care about the quality of the food and their customers. THANKS FOR CARING, Mandy's! My family of four will be back again and again. Also, I see they have BREAKFAST SAMMIES, and I BET they are terrific. I am also looking forward to trying out their salads. As a fantastic cook myself, it's hard to find anywhere I deem 'worthy." Mixed review as the finger rolls were spectacular. Just as great as when I was a kid and went to another bakery for them. The pizza was subpar. I watched them make the crust so I know it was fresh but it tasted premade. The sauce and cheese were good. Nothing I'd go out of my way for. read more

Their subs and finger rolls are the bomb. Every time I get a sub the rolls are so soft I never go anywhere else for a sub but Mandy's. And if I want something to go with my spaghetti at night or my goulash or anything Italian I go to Mandy's for their finger rolls they are the best. I've never had anything else of theirs but everybody talks about their hot dogs and their Pizza about how good they are one of these days I'm going to try them. Their food is the best ! Recently flew back to upstate New York for my sisters funeral services. We even had Mandys cater the food for her celebration of life we held at the Barn. Whenever I am back in upstate I always have to stop by Mandys. One time I even ordered 4 dozen finger rolls and took them with me to Albany airport and passed them out on the airplane going back to California. Sadly it's labeled as pizza and subs not "Mandy's Finger Rolls" we went here because the notoriety of their finger rolls and were definitely disappointed. We ordered a mushroom pizza and there was basically no sauce. Add to that the mushrooms were straight from a can (shockingly not terrible) however were covering the entire pizza. Finally, this is the first crust I could NOT eat due to tasting exactly like pizza hut pizza crust. Will not be returning. read more

People have been telling me to try this place for a few years but, I actually drove past by mistake and discovered where they were located. My fiancee and I just moved to the area and figured we would try some of the pizza and boneless chicken wings... We wish we hadn't! One of the boneless wings was hard as a rock and couldn't even be eaten! As for the pizza..,It was burnt around the edge of the crust and didn't taste like anything at all. The pizza muffins I make at home taste better! It's nice to know that some restaurants don't have quality high up on their agenda... Do yourself a favor and pass on this place. It's been a while since we have been to Mandy's and we will be going there a lot more. I ordered a turkey sub and a sausage pizza for take out. It smelled so good driving home I almost couldn't wait, but I did and it was worth it. Outstanding pizza, covered with sausage and the most delicious crust. In my opinion, the pizza is over rated and the subs are under meated. Everything else there is amazing! Finger Rolls and Salads are killer and the homeade pickled sausages are beautiful. The hot dogs are very good, but make sure you get lots of toppings, otherwise the fresh baked rolls overshadow the dog itself. Definitely deserves it's long standing, quality reputation. read more
