Worst experience of my life. I went in to get a haircut and from the moment I walked in I felt a bad vibe but it was the only spot open for a last second haircut. after the he finished, he showed me my haircut and it was horrible! it wasn't even blended. It just looked horrible all around. when I told him I was displeased he started to yell and to get aggressive with me I told him I will not pay $35 for a haircut this bad . he continued to lock me inside the barber shop started yelling and taking off his bib almost as if to fight me. I've been coming to this barbershop ever since I moved to Southern California, and it's been great from day one. Ed has been my barber--he's really good at what he does, flexible with scheduling, and builds genuine connections with his clients. The shop itself is always clean, welcoming, and has a good vibe. Everyone who walks in gets greeted, and the conversations are fun, light, and wholesome. On top of that, all the barbers here are friendly, talkative, and make you feel comfortable. I've been to this shop twice this year-2019. The barber G was recommended to me by a friend. I am super excited to be going here now. G's qualities aside from being a really good barber includes the fact that he listens to what you want and confirms back what you said you want. I showed him a pic as well thanks to Pinterest. Both times I was satisfied with my cut! G is punctual and reasonably priced. The shop is comfortable for men and women as well and there is ample parking. Being in the Military, I'm required to have a haircut once a week. I've been all over the IE in hopes of finding that one place where I can consistently get a great fade, and be in and out in a timely fashion. Mane Event is it! I've been getting my weekly haircuts here since mid December, and I honestly haven't been disappointed once. My man Justin does a great job every single time. I call his phone, make an appointment the day of or the day before, and when I walk in he's always sitting there waiting for me, even when I'm always early! The actual cut: a dang near perfect fade everytime! My hair is simple to cut, but you'd be surprised how many people can mess it up. Justin always gives me a clean fade, with NO LINES!! I started going to Mane Event in college and was instantly welcomed as a friend. I see Ed regularly and he is an amazing guy. Always a fun atmosphere and a great cut. Even when I moved to Arizona for a bit, I waited for opportunities to get back home just for my haircut. Now I am about an hour away and I make sure that I can make the drive. Best place I know of. Im giving it a 2 star rating because im nice to begin with, but lets start off. I walked in and sat down waited for a barber to cut my hair after I got off work with my hair already done up that way the barber understands what kind of style I want all he gas to do is fix it up and make it looks spiffy and clean me up with a taper along with triming the side of my hair in layers to fit my hairstyle and cut a line between the comb over. After he sat me down he asked what would I like for my hair cut. I said Id like to keep the same style, just trim the top of my hair where it combs back cause its long and the sides should be layered down and then a taper just to clean out the outter parts of the cut to look clean and a buzz lime thru the top part where it combs over to the back. He took almost a half hour doing the same thing on the bottom part of my hair line from left to right as my friend waited for his cut. Then he started buzzing the top part where it combs over to the back n i felt that he fucked up so he told me what kind of hair product do i use gel or pomade? I said a little bit of both to help style and hold dowm my hair . He then said he was havung trouble doing to line due to my product in my hair. (Well why the fuck didnt u wash it out before we started or at least let me know it was guna be a fucking problem for before u fucked up my cut?) So now I got a wide line up where it combs over. He gave me a mirror and pretty much said he was done 15 minutes later. All he did was give me a taper? For 20 dollars, I walked in to get a fucking taper?...... I said what about the sides like u cant touch that? He blammed it on the product in my hair then said hell try to work something out. He trimmed some shit off on the sides all the way around but didnt even bother touching the top of my head and said he was done, by this time my friend was 10 minutes done before i was not to mention I still paid the twenty dollars even tho I was very unsatisfied with my ruined cut and lost the 20 dollars. I thought he would wash my hair out at least. He didnt even touch the scissors. Not to forget the big bottle of Hennessey on the floor by his leg. Too bad american barber is closed on mondays. I wish he bothered to make a difference rather than punking me for my money by acting like he was giving me a cut when he was ruining my hair just to make 20 bucks and hop to the next customer. Mane Event Hair Lounge - What the fuk is that. Somebody explain - Barbers Near Me - Riverside, California

You can pretty much remove the daily hours of operation on both Yelp and the front door of this location. Signs on door says they open daily from 8:30am to 7pm Monday to Thursday. I went to this place on a Wednesday and by 945am this place still hadn't opened. I call the number on the window which I believe is the owner's number and I was told to try back in an hour to see if someone will show up and open the doors. I would think that if a business has an open time of 8:30am on their door, they would be open at 8:30am give or take 10 min but, a whole hour? That's not how you run a business. They give OKAY service when they are open but being a business man myself, dependability means a lot and this place is not very dependable when it comes to sticking to advertised sign of operation hours posted on their own door. Also, customer service overall could be better. Lack of business courtesy to customers. read more

Unprofessional and worst customer service. I made an appointment with Gerald for 3:30 yesterday to get my son's haircut. I was on time, maybe a few minutes early. When I walked in it was hot! No AC and it had to be 90+ degrees outside! Gerald wasn't there. The guy there, don't know his name, said he should be on his way. I waited for about 10-15 minutes, then I asked the guy again if he was coming? He said he should be here, again. At this point, I thought that he could give him a call to check to see if he was on his way, etc.., but he showed no concern that I was sitting there waiting. I decided to wait until 4 to see if he would show, then leave if not. Well 4 came, still no Gerald, so I told the guy I was leaving. He just said ok. No care at all. Still didn't try to contact him. I know it isn't his fault, but show some customer service! Never heard from Gerald, even if he showed up later, no call. NEVER AGAIN! Someone else can cut just as good! What's good mane?! This is the spot to go to if you want to come through FRESH!!! I mainly go here and get cut by G...the man is a goddamned ARTIST...a true professional through and through and has NEVER given me a bad haircut. He will cut your hair until it is perfect...because that's what he is..a perfectionist. He has given me the freshest fades and tapers that have ever graced my skull...not once have I received a haircut by him and not received a compliment. His skill and precision is so good he should have a PhD on his wall because the man is a surgeon when it comes to cutting that hair!!! He will go over and over that fade until it has been deemed worthy to be certified fresh. Come to this spot and ask for G especially if you are going to an event or special occassion and need to be done proper...you are sure to be satisfied..price for a cut is $15. You can call to make an appointment as well which I recommend since they can get quite busy especially on the weekends.
