I went there on a Friday night it it was probably one of the best Thai , Korean and Chinese restaurants I've ever been to, it was usually really full but people don't go there anymore because they changed the name and think it's different, it's now called Asian time but still the same incredible food tbh , the service were so nice and talked about ppl not going there and always asking if we need anything else, The inside of the restaurant was clean and the walls represented Chinese , Thai and Korean culture , I would def go there again

Never fails to deliver. If I lived closer I would have a table with my name on it. Vetty was our server and was very attentive and engaging. Making suggestions to our friend who was a first timer. I had my usual tempura app and green curry and had lunch the next day. The sea of love roll is a great combo of what we love. Coupled with the philly roll and that yummy smoked salmon it was just perfect. Our friend had a rainbow roll, some nigiri and sake. She had a great meal and was very excited. This place has been a staple through the pandemic and now. PLEASE give them your business...you will be very happy.

Great Korean spot located in the heart of Downtown Historic Melbourne. We entered and were greeted by a very nice young lady. She told us to sit wherever we wanted. Since we had never eaten Korean food before, we asked her if she could go over the menu with us. We ordered our drinks and we went over the menu. I decided to go with her recommendation and order the Dolsot Bibimbap. I was so happy I did. This dish was absolutely delicious! It had rice, different vegetables and bulgogi meat with a basted egg over it. The dinner came with Banchan, which are small side dishes that consisted of spicy fermented cabbage, seaweed, Napa cabbage, Edamame, and Korean radishes. You have the option of grilling your own meat at your table, or having the chef do it. Definitely worth returning.

Experience: I went with some of my family who absolutely love this place. It was my first time going. They told me to meet at 1:00, because the place is always crowded if you come earlier and sometimes you can't get a table because of the lunch crowd. Facility: this place is located right in downtown Melbourne along with the other niche restaurants and bars. It is a med sized restaurant Ndhas tables and chairs with some half booth seating along the walls. Some of the tables have the built in grills for the Korean bbq. Food: everything is delicious. They serve ban chan to your table which is little side dishes like kimchi. They also give you miso soup or small salad. Both are good choices. We ordered a variety of food and everything was really tasty I loved the galbi, pad see ew, volcano chicken, and beef bulgogi. Overall: this is my favorite restaurant in the area. Absolutely yum!! Will be back many times.

Mangetsu is located in the heart of downtown Melbourne and has a vast menu of traditional Korean food fare and more! This place can get busy fast, and due to limited seating and no reservations, make sure you have time to wait. It is a small place, a bit loud without much of personal space while dining. Very minimal decorations. But clean with a brilliant and helpful staff! The menu consists of traditional Korean, some Thai and some Japanese cuisine. All are fabulous! Plan on spending a long time picking what to eat because the choices feel endless. We started with hot tea and water and an order of their Monkey Brain (stuffed and deep fried avocado with crab) and the Takoyaki (Japanese octopus balls) Both were wonderful, crispy and loaded with fillings. Next was the Pork Belly BBQ which came with ALL the Banchan (Korean sides) and raw pork belly to cook on their grill. Generous portions, amazing fermented kimchi, lettuce wraps and juicy pork. Accompanied by soup or salad. (I did the ginger salad. So good!) The Seafood Jjigae was filled with tofu, squid and assorted shellfish. The definition of a comforting and warming meal!! Paired with rice and in a boiling stew, this was one of the best I've ever had! Mangetsu is a place you could visit daily for a month and still be left with so many things to try!!

I have been eyeing this place since I arrived in Melbourne. I was too tired to go hence ordered in. I ordered Pad Thai with shrimp and Shrimp Katsu. The pad Thai was wayyy average, I didn't like much. The peanuts tasted stale , the taste was a bit bland to my liking. The shrimp katsu on the other hand were better. May be the dine in experience is better.

Mangetsu is the perfect spot for Asian food. I've had the Spicy Pork Bulgogi twice and what a hit. Great value...a lot of the food for what you pay for. It was really packed both times but since I was solo, I sat at the small bar. The spicy pork bulgogi came out sizzling on a hot plate on a bed of onions...which I love onions. It also came with lettuce, rice and good amount of bachan. Everything was great! You won't be disappointed.

We came here on a Friday and only waited 30 minutes for a table. That's is pretty amazing considering the location and we had 8 people. I ordered bulgogi and although I've never had it, I found it to be fine. I can't say it was amazing or bad. I ordered it spicy so it was spicy chicken with no real other flavors. We didn't cook it at the table since we had little hands with us. My husband ordered Panang curry and it was so good! It was thick and not watered down which makes us think they make it on the spot instead of like Thai or Indian restaurants so less watered down. My brother and sister in law ordered a bunch of condiments- but unsure of what they ordered as their meal. They said it was good but not great. They said it lacked the flavor they had grown to expect at other Korean restaurants. One thing which was a little disappointing was the children's chicken portions- it was like one butterflied chicken breast, but the smallest one they had- and it was $10 with maybe 5 pieces of veggies. All in all it was a good just not great but service was superb.

The Korean options are super authentic and I would highly recommend them! Love the bibimbap, japche, and jajangmyun! Also tried some sushi options and the takoyaki. Also ao good!!! The prices are also super affordable with big portion sizes. New favorite place.

Is the BBQ "All you can eat"?

No; the hot pot / whatever is called is a set amount of food they bring to your table. I actually order the other dishes instead of hot pot, and everything we've had there has been an excellent!

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more I've been wanting to dine at Senzu Noodle Bar and Boba (which I will shorthand simply to Senzu for the remainder of this review) for the longest time, simply because it is relative to the Dragonball Series. Ever seen what happens to anyone who eats a senzu bean? Back to the review, I finally got the chance to go into Senzu, ready to dine on both noodles and boba. I mean it is in the name, right? Upon entering, the ambiance is a cross between modern restaurant and traditional ramen shop. I noticed the long wall bar where patrons would line up and enjoy their bowls of ramen during their lunch break, but I also recognize the tables for formal dine-in. As for ordering, they have the traditional face-to-face ordering along with a "contactless" kiosk. Senzu offers a decent range of appetizers, mains centered on noodle dishes such ramen, yakisoba, and udon, rice bowls, and boba. There are more to list, but the aforementioned is the primary bulk of the menu. From said menu, I ordered miso chicken ramen and Thai boba tea. The ramen was very flavorful, with a decent amount of ramen, add-ons, and chicken for $16.00. The Thai boba tea was good too at $4.00. Yes, I will say the price is a bit on the high side these days, but the price of food is going up in general. There is also a specials menu, made new every single day or week. One of the specials on said menu was unagi on rice, or grilled eel with tare glaze on rice. Since it was a special, it had the special price, too, at $20. Not complaining, but take note that specials definitely have special pricing. Was it good? It was, but definitely had better. As a matter of fact, I have had better of each of the food items I ordered. Still, you can't go wrong eating here at Senzu, unless you want to spend a little less. But you know what? I would not expect any less from the same people who own So-Ju Chicken and Bakudan Street Food. Ultimately, I will give Senzu a solid four-out-of-five star rating for this review. Definitely a good place to eat, and a new restaurant to enjoy such food. If they are consistent with their food and presentation (service included), I will grant them their fifth star for consistency.
