See the bubbles? That's the sprite's carbonate. Water in my fucking sprite!

the alfredo sauce is so plain i had to add a shit ton of pepper into it. mind you, the bread, stale as shit. then, they proceed to add water to my sprite not once..but twice! i never asked for this complimentary water, let alone in my fucking sprite. the booth i sat in had a squishy tablecloth on it. i would leave 0 stars but because i can't, i leave 1. that alone is too fucking much!!!! (the waitress is cool..i guess.)

Our family has been coming to Mangia Mangia for years. It's a comfortable, familiar spot with a nice neighborhood feel and friendly service.

Great service. Hot food and friendly people. I've grabbed takeout several times and sat in only one time. Good experience every time. One of my go to places when i'm in Countryside.

Maybe it was an off night, but nothing ordered was good. The polenta had no flavor, even the cheese on it was bland. Calamari was just small little chunks. Ravioli was hard with sauce that would be outdone by Ragu. Blackened shrimp Alfredo was disgusting, just oil separated from the sauce I guess. Ordered from here several times, never again.

It is rare for me to write a review from the table, but Mangia Mangia deserves one. I feel guilty now for the years of relying on the convenience of Olive Garden, especially in the Chicago suburbs. This place feels like an Italian restaurant; I'm here on a Friday evening and it is thriving. Constant traffic. Everything tastes fresh and real and my server assured me of both, but I can taste it. And smell it. When the massive bruschetta with mozzarella was brought to my table, I smelled the fresh and copious garlic. And the arrabiatta spaghetti.... massive, but delicious. No shortage of tomatoes, oregano, capers, garlic, and olives .... as my server said, "food for the whole weekend." How good is this place? I am excited to eat my leftovers for breakfast before work

Posto 31 is located in Lagrange Park which is just slightly outside and west of the city. Their restaurant week deal is $45 per person for dinner and every adult in the party is required to participate. We tried the following: 1) Pork belly with a brown butter sweet potato mash and apple slaw - This was a delicious and refreshing appetizer. The fat isn't excessive and there is a good sear with the pork belly. I think it was different in a sense that it didn't exactly go with the Italian theme. 2) Arancini with chicken, parmesan, mozzarella, and marinara. This is the standard fare and you can't go wrong with this selection. 3) Faroe Island salmon with squash puree and Brussel sprout slaw. The salmon was well executed and I loved how it was paired with the slaw. 4) Arrabbiata with squid ink linguini and jumbo shrimp. This was the star of the night and what drew our attention when we first reviewed the restaurant week menu. It is rare to find squid ink linguini in the city and neighboring suburbs. The portion was huge and the flavors were absolutely delicious. We are already planning a return to order this again. 5) Tiramisu was the standard fare and once again, the portion was huge. We demolished it though. 6) Cookie skillet had a square of chocolate chip cookie topped with candied pretzels, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream. We did not get to try it because our girls just took it to town. So needless to say, it was thoroughly enjoyed. We also ordered the kids' an eight inch pepperoni pizza. It was more than enough for our two girls to share.

Needless to say,…read morethere was not a good restaurant in Alsip so we had to go to Oak Lawn for Francesca's on 95th! We had a great time, with great service and really good old fashioned Italian food!!! For our appetizer, we had the sausage and peppers. GAME CHANGER!!! Neither of us had eaten this classic Italian appetizer before and Francesca's version was a great introduction to this dish. Surprisingly, it was NOT the sausage that was the star of this presentation - it was the sauce and the peppers. The sauce was part top notch olive oil, part Italian seasonings and it was a wonderfully delicious background to each bite. The peppers (green, red & yellow) were perfectly cooked, luxuriously soft but still with a little crisp to them. Those peppers were perfectly cooked! I do think the sausage, while okay, was not up to the standard of the rest of this dish. For my main, I had the Linguini Alla Caruso - shrimp, garlic, olive oil with a basil-pine nut pesto sauce. It was very good, very good. Be warned though the sauce leans a little to the sour or harsh flavor. Not too bad, I certainly ate it up, but there was certainly a sharp taste every once in a while. My spouse had Dana's Bolognese. He was very happy with it! The overwhelming reaction to our main dishes was "holy crap" that's a lot of food! The dishes were as large as a coffee table and we NEVER could have eaten all that food no matter how long we sat there at dinner. Each dish was big enough to feed both of us and several people at nearby tables!!! But the best part of Francesca's on 95th was the service. Everyone was so friendly, so nice, hard working and willing to take care of our every need. Seriously, the staff worked their butts off and provided some of the best service I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Hats off to everyone from the hostess to the server to the bus people. You all really took care of us that evening. You will NOT walk away from Francesca's hungry! Is the food the best Italian I have ever had? Probably not but it is definitely solid and a great place to enjoy a good meal.

Hi Yelpers, I sent…read morethis directly to Lucca's 6 days ago, and have yet to hear back. Being an independent vs a chain, I guess they have different sop's for responding to concerns. For your consideration: Disappointing - and I wanted to reach out versus putting this on OT / Yelp. $307.82 including tip for the following: Made a 5:30 rsvp, even though my entire party wanted 7, but I didn't want to be rushed and have a nice table, not to mention avoiding the issues below. Checked in early, seated right away in the back room, next to a spare chair and highchair. Room was warm with one other table in it, and bright. Noted "21st birthday" on rsvp, so maybe this table was set aside thinking it was a bunch of college kids. Server, Mariam, overall was fine. Drinks were priced by city standards. "Brooklyn" was watered down and not really cold. Glass wines weren't cold. Decided to skip apps and go right to entrees because we had other birthday stops to make. Nothing we ordered should have more than a :15 minute ticket time, especially fired at 5:45. We waited 30+ minutes for entrees, which were delivered in stages - 4 entrees, then 5 minutes later, the final 2 by the same guy. Only one food runner on a Saturday night? Marsala potato side delivered 5 mins after that. The food was marginal at best. All the pasta was overcooked and really not very presentable. Sauces were breaking. Portions were smaller than last visit. We had 3 baskets of bread to make up for it. No manager check on entrees, although we did see one turning down the AC. When did table visits become optional in our business? Very good tiramisu with a candle. The 3.5% service fee is a Covid-era tactic that shouldn't exist after 5 years... We have three more summer birthdays and the group unanimously said "let's try somewhere else." But, Lucca's may have had an off night, and I believe in giving objective feedback and trying it again. Thanks for listening.
