Sausage and bacon Greek Thin Crust Pizza 14"

So worth it, coming from the city. The place is so casual and the atmosphere and decor is simple and relaxing. You would not think it's a pizza place. It's not a bar or grill type feel. The staff is friendly and helpful. We made reservations as it can be pretty busy. Our table for 6 was the table right at the entrance where the customers come into the dining area. Also it's right where the staff comes from the kitchen with the food. We were right by the fireplace. Next time I want a table in the back area or just away from the kitchen and entrance aisle. Had to hang up my coat as staff bringing food was rubbing up on my coat as they walked by. We ordered a sausage and bacon pizza and a grilled vegetable pizza. The meat pizza was heavy but salty if you eat more than one slice. But the little guy wanted it. The grilled vegetable pizza was the bomb. You wouldn't think you were eating veggies. The crust on both were thin and crispy. You have to eat this at the restaurant. Takeout wouldn't be crispy anymore. Great place.

Free Street or lot parking. Beautiful inviting inside. I loved the exposed brick. You don't have a strong phone signal depending on where you are sitting. Quick service with very attentive wait staff. They serve brunch till 2pm, lunch, and dinner. I ordered their homemade lemonade. It was pretty tasty with the perfect balance of tart and sweet. I also ordered a small Luca pizza. I enjoyed it however I think the pizza sauce may have been missing a bit more garlic or basil. I would eat pizza here again. I liked the atmosphere as it felt warm and inviting. A beautiful bar area with televisions. A traditional Italian spot. They sale bottles of alcohol to go if you needed to entertain. The music was also full of nice selections.

I thought everything was great. I especially loved my ravioli. kids steak was not good though.

Western Suburb downtown Lagrange always seems to empress me with the warmth of family enjoyment.... Took the family out to grab a bite and Lucca's was the choice for the night.. service was very nice! The restaurant was packed and when I tell you, they handled the crowd well. Well lit and TV's at the bar area where you can see from the front side of the restaurant, which was great cause it's playoff football season.... The food was amazing, from appetizers to entrees.... Fresh and hot...

    Lucca's Margherita Pizza

We tried Lucca's because we got a coupon in the mail, and got the Margherita Pizza. When we went to pick up our order, the whole restaurant was packed so if you're wanting to dine in, I recommend making a reservation. My favorite part of the pizza was the thin crust which had a crispy yet sturdy base despite being "thin". I often get "thin crust" pizza that has no structure so I appreciated that this pizza held its shape. The goat cheese was interested on a margherita pizza, but it didn't put me off. I think a little balsamic glaze would be the best finishing touch to the pizza as it was just a little plain tasting compared to other margherita's I've had. I'm giving it 3/5 stars because the pizza was $36 for a large and I don't think the flavor of the pizza was anything too special.

This place is great! We came here Saturday night without a reservation around 5:30pm and got seated. We were surprised it was PACKED. GOOD: Meatball appetizer, ambiance NOT as good: 4 cheese pizza I recommend going!

    Lunch Pasta

LUNCH REVIEW Stopped by Luccas in La Grange for lunch. I have only been for dinner and I will say lunch is a very different vibe. The menu offers soup, salads, sandwiches, pizza, and simple pasta (offering of various noodle types, sauce, and meat). I wish some appetizers were on menu for larger groups. Most customers were casual lunch goers or local business types. We walked in to "seat ourself" and were greeted by a server. After ordering, our food came out quickly. The pasta was a generous portion and meatball sandwich was filling. No drink menu is offered during lunch but bar was still open. Service was ok but food is always tasty.

My husband and I met a group of friends here for dinner. It was difficult to find which door to enter. After figuring out how to enter the restaurant, I wanted to try some of the bread that was on our table. The first butter that I took had already been partially used by the people who occupied the table before us and put back in the butter dish. My husband found a dirty plate among the clean plates. Lucca's needs to work on their cleanliness. We came in during dinner hours. It was very noisy and I had trouble hearing people at our table. As time went on and the restaurant cleared out, the noise level became more acceptable. The bread was fresh and came with olive oil, Parmesan cheese, and butter. We ordered fried calamari, jalapeño poppers, and the antipasto plate for appetizers. For entrées we had lasagna and chicken Parmesan. We had tiaramisu and double chocolate cake for dessert. Overall, the food was above average and enjoyable. The sauces were bland and could have used some more spices. The server we had was very nice and welcoming. Overall, Lucca's is a nice option for Italian.

Smells amazing the whole time. Staff was great. Sean helped us out and gave some solid recommendations. We went with the pepperonly pizza. When it hit the table, the presentation looked amazing. First bite... that was it. The crust had that perfect crunch on the outside but still soft inside. You could taste that wood-fired char, just enough to give it that smoky edge. The cheese was melted just right, stretchy and hot. The sauce had a nice balance, a little tangy, a little sweet, not overpowering anything. The pepperoni was the best part. Crispy on the edges, a little oily in a good way, and full of flavor. Every bite just worked. Thin, balanced, nothing too heavy. If you like pizza, this is one of those spots you gotta try. I'd go back for that one easy.

Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and we enjoyed what we ordered. The Buzzkill pizza was delicious, and the appetizer platter was a great option for the table. Unfortunately, the service really took away from the experience. It took about 10 minutes before anyone came over to seat us, another 10-15 minutes before someone took our order, and when our Snap Into It salad arrived (for a party of three), it only came with two pieces of bread, so we had to ask for a third. At the end of the meal, we waited around 20 minutes just to get our check. The surprising part was that the restaurant wasn't busy at all, so the slow service was hard to understand. The food was definitely the highlight, but because of the overall service experience, I don't think I'd return.

But for a premium price, I expect premium product, and this place is rough around the edges in ways that feel easy to fix. I'm pointing them out in hopes they'll be corrected. First the positive - the food was pretty good. Not great for the price, but pretty good. Drip coffee was better than most diners/cafes in the area. The ambience was pleasant. Here's the issues. 1. The furniture needs a refresh and I don't think the place has even been open that long. The side tables by the window are losing their finish - a fragment of wood got caught under my finger nail as I was sitting down and just lightly grazed the table with my hand. I also brushed away a few additional flakes coming up. The chiffon curtains are charming until you look closer and see they're speckled with food from past diners. A moss ball decoration in the bathroom is missing half its moss. It's little stuff, obviously, but when I spot things like this at a place otherwise charging a premium partially for cute aesthetics, I always get concerned that the lack of attention to detail might also be getting reflected in the food. 2. Value for money and food quality are also an issue. $20 for one slice of sourdough cut in half, a rather overdone French omelette with sour cream on top (not mentioned on the menu and a weird choice) a bowl of fruit I wasn't interested in rather than a choice of free side, and sausages I paid extra for, is not good value to me. The bread was good! The omelette was mediocre. The sausage was very solid, had a slight funk to it that I liked and suggested to me it was made in house - but 7 dollars for two sausage patties is absolutely wild. I would suggest Milkstop rethink the combos on its menu to include more and be priced a touch more transparently. 3. Finally, service. Everyone was VERY KIND, again, want to stress that, but service was slow and rather inattentive for most of the meal. The place was only half full, but water and an initial drink order were slow, and I waited for a while for the check while the staff chatted amongst themselves in the corner of the room. Not trying to be a dick, the life of a service worker is tough, but the place was mostly empty and I noticed they already charge a 3% service gratuity on your orders, so I'd expect a little better. Basically this place has a very charming surface with some wonkiness around the edges. I will definitely come back again but guys, come on - ditch the gross chiffon curtains, for both our sakes.

Today was a good experience. I just worked out and called to ask about the dress code. No dress code, I'll be right there! I walked in and was greeted immediately and sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and gave me time to decide without feeling rushed even as I changed my mind a couple times. I ordered the salmon and Mad Rose to drink. The drink has a lot going on and wasn't for me. It reminded me of a cinnamon orange tea, citrus and spicy. For dinner, I waffled on a couple fish dishes, but went with the salmon. It has a nice, crunchy glaze on it with some nice citrus flavors that weren't overbearing. I wasn't sure how the risotto would taste with the orange, but it worked. I was asked several times how I was doing and how my drinks and food were. Dining solo, I get ignored at times with subpar service. Not tonight access I appreciate that. I would recommend based on service and the dish I had. I will return to try more.

I ordered from Entourage Downers Grove and was honestly impressed with how well everything held up for delivery. The standout for me was the lobster bisque. It arrived at the perfect temperature, which is pretty impressive for delivery. The bisque was rich and luscious without feeling overly heavy, and the basil oil added a nice brightness that balanced the creaminess beautifully. It also had a generous amount of lobster, including several large chunks, and was a very solid portion overall. The filet mignon sliders were another highlight. Each slider had a substantial piece of filet mignon topped with pickled onions, microgreens, and horseradish cream on brioche buns. The onions and horseradish added enough acidity and bite to balance the richness of the beef without overpowering it. I also tried the Vietnamese summer rolls, filled with roasted shiitake mushrooms, fresh vegetables, and rice noodles, served with both peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. Everything tasted very fresh, and the sauces complemented the generously stuffed rolls nicely. My only small critique is that cutting them in half made for a prettier presentation, but made them a little awkward to dip and eat. Overall, this was a surprisingly strong delivery experience, and I would absolutely order from them again, or better yet, make it over to the restaurant itself next time I'm in the area.

Posto 31 is located in Lagrange Park which is just slightly outside and west of the city. Their restaurant week deal is $45 per person for dinner and every adult in the party is required to participate. We tried the following: 1) Pork belly with a brown butter sweet potato mash and apple slaw - This was a delicious and refreshing appetizer. The fat isn't excessive and there is a good sear with the pork belly. I think it was different in a sense that it didn't exactly go with the Italian theme. 2) Arancini with chicken, parmesan, mozzarella, and marinara. This is the standard fare and you can't go wrong with this selection. 3) Faroe Island salmon with squash puree and Brussel sprout slaw. The salmon was well executed and I loved how it was paired with the slaw. 4) Arrabbiata with squid ink linguini and jumbo shrimp. This was the star of the night and what drew our attention when we first reviewed the restaurant week menu. It is rare to find squid ink linguini in the city and neighboring suburbs. The portion was huge and the flavors were absolutely delicious. We are already planning a return to order this again. 5) Tiramisu was the standard fare and once again, the portion was huge. We demolished it though. 6) Cookie skillet had a square of chocolate chip cookie topped with candied pretzels, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream. We did not get to try it because our girls just took it to town. So needless to say, it was thoroughly enjoyed. We also ordered the kids' an eight inch pepperoni pizza. It was more than enough for our two girls to share.
