Lots to get better here, especially from a Disney affiliated property. Our server, Bill, was pretty inattentive, never came to see how the meal was or refilled drinks. My wife's impossible burger was one of the sorriest things I've seen come out of a kitchen in a long time. No cheese, rock hard tomatoes, stone cold sides of broccoli and mashed potatoes, and on sandwich bread like they didn't even try. Ironically the pasta and French onion soup i had were relatively decent. Ambiance was casual. If we weren't trying to go to bed early for a half marathon tomorrow I'd have gotten up and walked out and gone anywhere else. read more

I was starving at 9pm after a day of traveling. Walked in and we were one of 3 tables on a Friday night. I was worried that the food might be a miss but I was so hungry, we decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised! We started with the fried mushrooms with ranch sauce and the bbq wings. Both were very good, my daughter loved the mushrooms. I had the special for my main which was filet mignon topped with a salmon cake with a citrus cream sauce on top. I inhaled it in 5 min. Steak was cooked perfectly medium and seasoned well, salmon cake had a nice crunch without the fishy taste. The citrus sauce brightened up the dish. My husband had the vegetarian pasta which he enjoyed. I ended the meal with key lime pie which was good. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality and amount of food you get. Went here for my son's birthday dinner on 12/2/25. The ambiance was wonderfully relaxing; classy-yet casual. Plenty of options to choose from. In fact, I questioned my waitress about the 3 entrees I was debating over. At her recommendation I ordered the pork schnitzel. IT WAS DELICOUS! I would get time and time again! The food did not taste good at all. Ordered the pasta wheel pasta and it was very bland. The chicken was horrible and tasted bad. The shrimp was pretty good. This is the restaurant on property at the Shades of Green. Pretty nice and friendly folks. It busy this night so we were sat very quickly. Jared our server was on point and had our drinks out PDQ. We started with with the house salad and the French onion soup and clam chowder. The chowder was packed with clams and had a great flavor. The onion soup had lots of cheese and that nice deep onion broth flavor. For my main I had the spaghetti Bolognese. Lots of meat sauce and the pasta was cooked just right. I thought this was pretty good. A little sweet for me and needed salt but all in all pretty tasty. Deb had the steak and shrimp scampi. Steak was cooked great especially considering how small the portion was. Shrimp was the star. You can't go wrong with garlic and parm though. The cocktails were really good with nice pours. Decent wine list. Overall it was ok and good if you want a sit down meal at the resort at a good price. However it was nothing spectacular. Service - Excellent on a Sunday night (4th of July weekend) Food - Speedy and delicious! We came here after a day at Epcot. While we didn't stay at Shades of Green, we are still eligible to dine and use the spa here because of my husband's disability eligibility. The prices for an Italian steak house can't be beat. We were a party of 6, including our preteens and 1 year old. The ambiance was nice for a date night, but also low key for a family after a day at the parks. Many were super casual. Don't waste your money!! Wife and son both had the pasta that's tossed in the cheese wheel with a side of chicken. Pasta had zero flavor. They don't season it at all! The chicken looked like it was previously cooked, heated up, then chopped up. How hard is it to grill a chicken breast to order? I got the schnitzel which was average at best. Pork was on the dryer side and was not pounded thin enough. Service was slow and not very attentive. Honestly the best part was that the host was very nice. As the only dinner restaurant on location, we were expecting at least average food. We were very disappointed! The bread was terrible (tasteless and chewy). The calamari was not fresh, smelled very fishy - had them remove it. Both of our pasta entrees were terrible - did not finish either. The pasta wheel is all for show, basically fettuccine Alfredo put on a plate which got cold waiting for shrimp. The shrimp was very, very, over salted - could not finish. After a long day the girls wanted to come back to the hotel to eat, so we tried Mangino's, thus is Shades of Greens top sitdown restaurant located on property. Menu is not very big but they had something we all liked. Again we got an order of Calamari( 99% of the time if it's on the menu my kids want Calamari) it came with sweet chili sauce I asked them for Marinara instead, my one daughter got a Ceasar Salad, I got the French Onion. For main courses both girls got an 8oz Filet Mignon one got side if mashed potatoes and the other sweet potatoes both came with green beans, I got a 10 oz Ribeye, mashed potatoes and string beans. The Calamari was good, a little on the salty side but it was tender, portion was small so I recommend if you're a party of 4 or more get 2 orders and the Marinara flavorful. My daughter liked the Ceasar Salad she ordered a small but it was a good size, bigger than what I expected for a small. The French Onion was just "Okay" for me, not saying it was bad, but I wouldn't order it here again. They brought our steaks accompanied each with a steak knife. The funny think was the steak knives could not cut any of our steaks. It wasn't because the steak was tough it was all 3 knives were that dull. I switched a butter knife and that worked fine. My Ribeye was cooked perfectly but lacked seasoning, I usually don't use A1 but I found it necessary. My Daughter's Filet Mignon medium inside but they complained it had to much char on the outside, I tried theirs and it was like they said, perfect in the center but the char was more than we would prefer. We found the service from our waiter, Bob, to be excellent! For a small hotel restaurant Mangino's is pretty good. read more

Mangino's is one of a few upscale restaurants located in Shades of Green. We tried this place the night before checking out of the hotel on the Disney resort in Lake Buena Vista; a city not too far away from Orlando, FL. There are not too many restaurants around this area. It will take you around 30 minutes to an hour drive, to reach a place where you can have a decent meal. The Shades did an amazing job of inheriting multiple restaurants within the vicinity, allowing customers to enjoy their stay, without having to worry about going anywhere else. Mangino's closes at 10:00 PM. So there's plenty of time to do things during the day, and then wind down with a pleasing steakhouse classic that's infused with old-world charm. Our hostess, Maria, was very friendly and accommodating. Although we came in about a few minutes before closing, she was able to have us seated and rendered professional service. The beef sirloin steak was tender and juicy while the calamari gave that crunchy spicy kick. The meal was not complete without a cold sip of the Bahama Mama. read more

Best spaghetti i've ever had. Here on vacation and this was the perfect way to end my day.

We thought it was great! I see a few negative reviews, but we must have been there on a really good night. The food was fixed to perfection, and we thought the cheese wheel pasta presentation and taste was just right! We had a variety of entrees, from chicken to steak. The food was delivered in a reasonable time, and the service was attentive and clearly showed she anticipated our needs (kept our glasses full). And while the price is a little steep, compared to eating at other Disney properties it was very reasonable. Definitely recommend it! read more

I ordered the shrimp scampi, and unfortunately the disk is simply shrimp in a dish, no pasta. while I was a little disappointed, the shrimp was still good. My husband got chicken carbonara and it was delicious! The tortellini was so good but the dish had A LOT of cheese (not that that's a bad thing). The best thing about my meal was the clam chowder. It had the one of clams and great flavor. The cook cannot cook a steak to order to save his life. We ordered a medium rare steak. It came out medium and sent it back. The next steak came out almost well done. The third steak came out medium again, but we were so hungry that we just doused it with steak sauce and ate it anyways. We asked for the vegetable to be cooked more, so that they would be softer to eat. When they came out, it was if they were just picked from the ground - crunch green beans and carrots you can barely put a fork into. The server wasn't bad, just was hard to find him most of the time. The manager was very personable and tried her best to fix the issues we had, but you can fix a cook that doesn't seem to want to listen. read more

When we did get seated our waitress greeted us but I don't think she spoke English fully because she asked us where we were from and then promptly left before I could finish my sentence...super weird. We took advantage of the restaurants "bistro to go" feature. You stop by, order and pay, and then the take out food is ready in fifteen to twenty minutes. Order and pay portion was easy. Food was ready in about ten minutes. But the food was on the low side of ok. Two veggie soups (not bad) and a turkey club on crossainte. The club was almost inedible. Stale roll, dry turkey and that was about it. Maybe a tiny bit of bacon hiding in there. And slapped together with zero care. The bill was about $30 which was steep for what we received. The food is really good, but their menu just keeps getting smaller and smaller. My family has been coming here for years and we've always enjoyed it, but the last time we came, it was almost a struggle for some of my party to choose a dish because it was mostly just pasta dishes and some steaks. The service is on the fancier side, and so is the price, but my family is always willing to pay for the nostalgia factor alone. They could probably use some upgrades though. read more

Solid Italian restaurant within the Disneyworld Resort at Shades of Green. They did a Really good job with their calamari (crispy & hot even as take-out to our room). Their mushroom ravioli was good but could have been a bit creamier; husband didn't love it too much, but that's because he's not a huge mushroom fan. Their margherita pizza that we ordered for a late-night was good, but not like the typical margherita pizza (no tomato sauce & heavy on the cheese). If you're staying in this resort, I would def recommend this place if you are running out of places to dine. read more

Stopped in here for Christmas day breakfast before we drove home. We should have skipped it and eaten at Mcdonalds once we were on the road. Between us we ordered the Eggs Benedict and the breakfast scramble. All of our food was ice cold and tasted like it was made hours before. Neither one of finished our breakfast. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant located below the lobby at the Shades of Green Resort. Our favorite item on the menu? The French Onion Soup. I highly recommend this soup. Sooo good. We also loved the combination appetizer which has calamari, bruschetta, and a caprese salad. I will say that their dinner menu is much better than the lunch menu. At lunch my husband ordered the Cuban sandwich and he loved it. For dinner, they serve some delicious bread.... Very good. The service is... well slow but the food is worth it. We may be a couple that isn't difficult to please with food but honestly, we enjoyed everything we got. We even tried a piece of tiramisu and it was sooo good. If you have a little bit of extra time, try this restaurant. Another unfortunate restaurant whose quality has been sacked by the COVID-19 pandemic. Before I review the food, the restaurant was fairly staffed for the amount of diners, but business was very slow. Started off receiving very hard, cold bread and butter. If you look at an image of the bread from a review from a year ago, you can see the quality has taken a sharp decline since the start of the pandemic. We ordered the mozzarella wheels appetiser, which was tasty. For starters, we had a small caesar salad and french onion soup. The salad was good, the soup was excessively salty, but not inedible. My partner ordered chicken parmesan as one of the entrees. The chicken was tasty, but the pasta was decently overcooked and soggy. I ordered the daily special, which was a 10 oz steak medium rare with mushroom sauce, green beans and risotto. The steak was well seasoned and the mushroom sauce was tasty. The green beans were a little undercooked and fairly underseasoned. The only flavor the risotto had was salt. For dessert, we ordered the bread pudding. It had definitely been prepared many hours before, and was gelatinous yet dry. This was removed from the check. I ordered the Shades Of Green cocktail made with midori, vodka, pineapple juice and orange juice. The flavors did not blend as intended and does the name of this resort injustice. The final bill was $72 before the tip. Very overpriced for the low level of quality. read more

Fabulous. We live in a very demanding client restaurant area; I'm insistent myself and don't go back to duds. I've eaten on six continents. Didn't expect much at this one, a sit-down locale at Shades of Green on Disney World's property. Everyone loved their selections. The staff was attentive and the drinks were also excellent. Not only were we highly surprised, but we would rate this at the top of restaurants in general. Our chicken, salmon, and pasta were all top shelf - nothing was lacking. Prices were excellent too. Most entrees were at the $20 mark or so. Better than any dining experience in the Disney parks, or properties. We've stayed at three other ones aside of Shades of Green and this was by far the finest. read more
