I've only been once and got take out. I went hoping for thai food but they said they don't have that much yet, i just wanted some panang curry. but alas i ordered the chicken tikka masala and it was out in like 5 minutes with rice and delicious naan. plus, it made like a ton of food, i still have leftovers after eating it 3 times. i just didn't expect good, nonetheless AMAZING indian food in hagerstown. i'll definitely be back! read more

We went here last Friday evening for dinner before a movie at the mall. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, there were only two servers for a packed restaurant, and they were out of glassware. We recieved our drinks in Styrofoam cups. They were also unable to make Indian coffee for us for unknown reasons. It took a long time to get our food, and the appetizers were extremely small portion wise. A mixed kebab appetizer was 6 little pieces of chicken, in 2 different marinades. However, our entrees were amazing. We had lamb saag, an eggplant dish I can't remember the name of, a shrimp curry, and my stepdaughter had chicken tikka masala. All four dishes were wonderful, and for once when out somewhere and requesting spicy, we got spicy. The naan, not on the menu, was delicious. I'd recommend a mixed basket for the table. I forgot to ask about raita until we were rushing out to catch our movie but I was able to get some to go with our leftovers, which may have been even better the next day. We will be back, but not under a time crunch, and will probably order an extra entree and skip the appetizers. We would like to try the buffet soon too. read more

This casual restaurant has food worthy of white tablecloths and silver service. What you get instead are helpful friendly wait staff, an owner/chef who chats with customers, and a warm atmosphere. Living near Chicago, I can visit countless Indian restaurants. Mango Grill is one of, if not, the best I've Indian cuisine I've experienced. I could actually taste cumin, coriander, and fennel (maybe). Tumeric and curry did not overpower any dish. I asked for mild spices and they did a fantastic job but I had the impression they could also bring the heat if that's what you prefer. I tried lamb pasanda and chicken tikki pasala. Both were well balanced in spice and presented well. I thought portions could be a little larger but I always think that! It looked like they have a buffet but it wasn't offered when I was there. 9:00 pm, on a Friday found the Mango Grill open & welcoming. We did not want a bar. It was a hidden oasis in a small shopping center near Robinwood. Raj is an amazing chef and enjoys explaining the Indian cuisine and ensuring a delicious experience. Our server was sweet & attentive. I liked the Lazeez Chicken cooked in a wonderful creamy spinach. A new experience for me was the great mix of Indian herbs & spices. It was incredible. Also, sampled the Mango Chicken, it had shredded mango. Sweet & spicey at the same time. Our table had a choice of mild to hot, so something for everyone. It is very small, with a simple but clever decor, we liked the little box displays on the wall. Most importantly, fabulous Indian food. We hope to get back & try the Indian/Asian fusian options, and desserts. read more

As an Indian I am picky when it comes to Indian cuisine. We stopped at Mango grill as a random stop on a road trip for a quick lunch. Every dish served was well prepared and tasty. I cannot rave about this place enough. We visit at least once a month...sometimes more. The buffet is always delicious and Raj always has something new or different for people to try. Definitely some of the best Indian food I have had. Waitstaff is attentive and very nice. Raj (the owner) is the cherry on top. We were passing through Hagerstown MD so pulled over for a lunch and thought of giving this place a shot. We were so pleasantly surprised. OK gotta admit that not too great on ambience and music etc but quality of food which is the most important aspect was just impeccable. I took a business trip that had me driving through Hagerstown and stopped again for dinner. Hands down, the best Indian food I've eaten! I stopped on my way back through Hagerstown the next day and ordered take out to bring home to my family. It was in a hot bag in my car for 1.5 hours and was still fantastic when we ate it. I went there for the first time and the wait staff is terrible. They were slow cleaning off tables and we were done with our meals before we got our drinks and naan. The food is good but I was disappointed I had to eat at the buffet. I was hoping for more vegetarian options and I would have preferred to order off of the menu.
