I tried Jeremiah's for the first time today. I first had Italian Ice of this variety back in 2013,…read morewhen I tried Rita's out in Arlington, VA. Annnd, in the interest of full disclosure, I had Italian Ice... REAL Italian Ice in Italy and in Germany (Eis). Both, Italian-Italian Ice and German Eis are actually firm and maintain their spherical shape when scooped. Also, both are more syrupy as they melt than the Jeremiah's (and Rita's) varieties. The main differences between Jeremiah's and Rita's is that Rita's is custard and Jeremiah's is "ice cream;" more akin to Dairy Queen's Soft Serve®. Flavor-wise, I could not tell the difference! The "Ice," on the other hand, at Jeremiah's was markedly colder than Rita's and, therefore more of a firm frozen soft ice, rather than an icy slushy treat. With all of that said, I thoroughly enjoyed Jeremiah's!!! What I was most impressed with, is that Jeremiah's has a lot of variety and availability of their Ice assortment. The Rita's I visited in VA normally offered five or six different Ice flavors on any given day, and not really any consistency with the same flavors from day to day. So, if one identified a particular favorite flavor, it was hit or miss trying to catch Rita's on the day the favorite was being offered. To say the least it was frustrating. And, for those who may have tried the Rita's in Allen, TX, before it closed, I'm sure we feel the same sentiment that lack of flavor options was the proverbial nail in the coffin and the likely reason it did not survive scrutiny and customer dissatisfaction. One last noteworthy thing about Jeremiah's, they actually feature a rewards app, which I cannot wait to start using to accumulate freebies or discounts! Also, I like the idea that Jeremiah's apparently takes its name from, THE "Jeremiah," who was a bullfrog... was a good friend of mine... and whose, words said I never understood... and, who always shared his wine with me! LOL!! The inside of Jeremiah's was very clean and the bathrooms were also clean and well stocked! Bottom Line: Jeremiah's is here to stay, I'm sure! But, in order for good businesses to survive, people must visit them, and visiting Jeremiah's SHOULD be on your To Do list! If you don't, your loss. If you do, Win - Win; for you, those in your accompaniment, and people like me who want to see Jeremiah's succeed and stick around! Before you go, check out my pics and... Eat well. Be well. Cheers!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was concerning enough that I felt obligated to…read moreshare it. This was my second visit to this establishment. My first visit was over a year ago, and at that time I had a berry crepe that was absolutely delicious. Based on that experience, I decided to return. Unfortunately, what I found this time was shocking. The restaurant appeared extremely dirty and poorly maintained. None of the tables appeared to have been wiped down, the floors looked as though they had not been properly cleaned in quite some time, and there was visible dust throughout the dining area. The couches had dried food and ice cream residue on them, and there was debris scattered throughout the seating area. What concerned me most was the condition of the doors and surrounding areas. Along the edges of the doors, I observed what appeared to be rodent droppings. The windows and glass doors were covered in fingerprints, smudges, and grime to the point that it looked like they had not been cleaned in a very long time. Beyond the cleanliness issues, the atmosphere was equally disappointing. There was no music playing, the TVs were off, and no one greeted us when we entered. The entire environment felt neglected and unwelcoming. I was genuinely surprised that a food establishment was operating in this condition. Cleanliness is one of the most basic expectations when dining out, especially at a business serving desserts and food products. The difference between my first visit and this visit was night and day, and it appears this location has declined significantly. I took photos because I honestly could not believe what I was seeing. Based on the conditions I observed, I will be submitting a complaint to the local health department so the cleanliness and sanitation concerns can be properly reviewed. I sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously because this business once provided a great experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it in its current condition.

Anyway, I got the fresh fruit crepe and it was just okay. The store needs a lot of cleaning, the windows were filthy with hand prints smudges all over. Ice cream drippings on the floor. The tables had left over ice cream that has been dried up. The trashcan was filthy and filled with ice cream drippings from people throwing it away. Oh and I used the ladies restroom and it needs to get cleaned. I hope they do better with the next customer.

I'm really tough on ice cream reviews, especially after Italy, but this is one of my favorites I've found overall in DFW for ice cream itself. I really like the vegan coconut dark chocolate flavor. I love getting a medium size to go so I can eat it at home over 2-3 days! I enjoyed the dark chocolate flavor, but found it so intense/ rich I actually couldn't sleep that night (I'm very caffeine sensitive)! The vegan coconut chocolate flavor mitigates that effect for me. I'm a huge fan of places with creative vegan flavors. Servers are friendly. I've found how full they actually fill your cup depends a ton on who is working there, but that's not a huge deal for me. Usually, if I'm coming here it's to be with friends, not to fret over how much ice cream I'm given. The sway seats on swings are really unique and memorable; I always love rocking back and forth while being with friends. The interior is pretty minimal with mildly sarcastic signs hung throughout and humorous signs about sprinkles in the bathroom. Tongue in Cheek ice cream leans towards really creamy/ rich so definitely melts on the faster end, but the flavor is always on point.

I somehow found myself at the ONLY mall in the entire city (again, at the time) and lo-and-behold... a Jamba Juice (and coincidentally an Auntie Anne's just a floor down). I was instantly hooked. Just something about the ingredients. So fresh, flavorful, and not too sweet. From that moment forward, whenever I'd see a Jamba Juice, I'd hit the brakes (mental or physical, take your pick) and stop for a drink. Granted, Jamba Juice is a chain. As with all new chain stores, the GRAND OPENING experience can be great because OOOH NEW! The employees are amazingly pleasant, the store is sparkling; and of course, the offerings are top-notch. The true test is, how long will this experience go for? Will you always experience that shiny, new feel? Are the employees in the back always that awesome? Is the food going to keep it's appealing and tasty sensation? Will it somehow set itself apart from the rest of the chains? Consistency is key, and it's my only hope that seeing as how it's now linked with Auntie Anne's, it will stay the same AND now able to provide new offerings that will surely appeal to a wide variety of taste buds. Time will tell, amirite? Stop in, give it a try if you haven't ever already, and let your taste buds be the judge! As for my taste buds, they really enjoyed the PB Chocolate Love (with a boost of whey protein) I had this morning on my first visit at this Woodbridge location. Needless to say, I'm so looking forward to many more visits!

My friend and I left to go use the drive thru instead, and it was the same as inside. We order just two smoothies and a cup of pretzel pepperoni nuggets. We have to repeat our order three times through the intercom, then once we get to the window he has us repeat it and pay, and finally when he gives us one smoothie he's completely forgotten the other two items, so we need to ask again. To get two smoothies and some pretzel nuggets it takes nearly an hour of trying to order and waiting. One of our smoothies is half melted, the other tasted very odd, but the pretzel bites are the only reason they got two stars instead of one. The management of the place was completely off I guess. All in all, I won't be visiting again anytime soon.
