This little place was not the easiest to find but well worth the effort. I had the 1/2 Cuban Sandwich with white rice and black beans. The flavor was good and well rounded. I completed my meal with a Cuban Coffee of which the flavor was delicious. My brother had the Roasted Pork with Fried Yuca and caramelized Plantains. I tried a bite of the pork and was thoroughly impressed. All in all, I was happy with the food, the "off the beaten path" atmosphere, and the friendly/helpful staff. Highly recommended. read more

Worth going here at least once. Good food and cute little place. Seems to be family owned......the husband and wife were working the front. Here's why only 3 stars. You would never know how to find this place, unless you drive by it.....but it's in an industrial area....not on main roads. Couple miles away is Fernandez the Bull restaurant which is a bit better on the food, easy to find and get to, and more ambiance. I might go back, but probably go elsewhere 1st. read more

Absolutely incredible little Cuban cafe recently re-opened by original owner. The cuban sandwiches are to die for (with black beans, rice, & sweet plantains, mmmmmmmmmmm, excellent media noche also. On Saturday they have home made san cocho, a cuban brew of stew that's 5 star for sure. I wish it were open for dinner, but definitely a great place for breakfast, lunch, and a cortadito to perk you up, great deserts, salads, and a bunch of other stuff I will be trying later. read more

Great food! This is the kind of cafeteria that you usually find in NY or Miami: great Latin food, plentiful and not expensive. We had lunch around 2pm to avoid the lunch crowd. There were still some single white and blue collar workers having a late lunch and a couple of families. We ordered the shredded beef (pabellon) & grilled fish, they both come w/rice & beans. I also ordered beef stew (sopa de res), with arepas as a side dish. Everything was very good and on the healthy side. This is definitely not a greasy spoon! There was so much food, I took home the beef stew and microwaved it for dinner. If you do want to splurge calorie-wise, the stuffed arepas have cheese and I believe are grilled with a little bit of butter. The menu also has fruit shakes, burgers, and hot dogs for picky eaters in your group, but I do recommend trying their entrees. The cafeteria is very close to the Collier County Library at 2385 Orange Blossom Drive Naples, FL 34109 on a street surrounded by small office bldgs. There is a sign on the street saying Cuban Cafe, but you better map it, or risk missing it. The owner is extremely friendly and if you ask, he will take the time to explain how the entrees are prepared. Now can we please have more restaurants like this one in Naples? We definitely need more Latin, Indian, and at least one Japanese izakaya in Naples! PLEASE, any entrepreneurs out there? We're starving! All I can say is WOW) Terry had the roasted pork and we shared a Yuca with Mojo- first time I had Yuca and the garlicy, buttery goodness on top of it was just the absolute most amazing thing ever!! So amazing that became a staple of our trip to south Florida and the ones at Mangos were some of the best..If you are in Naples, it is worth searching out this Jewel...The table beside us had the roast chicken and when we are back in Naples I am trying the chicken too - it was jusicey and pulled of the bone perfectly. read more

It's a little off the beaten path, but well worth the effort to find. Don't waste time eating at the franchises. Go eat at Mango's. If you don't know Cuban food they'll help you pick something. Went here for lunch today. Food is ok; nothing spectacular. Price is ok... $5.95 - $9.95 (for Churrasco, which seems to be the most expensive item on the menu.) Service is horribly slow. Two ladies working the front (may be the co-owners); I'd normally say that's not enough during the lunch hour, but it really wasn't that busy. I went to the counter and ordered my Cuban sandwich "for here" then took a seat. It took about 20 minutes for the food to arrive. A gentleman came in and sat at the next table, and eventually got up to leave after 15 minutes since no one came to serve him. He told me there was a better cuban place nearby. I won't mention the name since I haven't verified this. Another gentleman waiting for his to-go order lost his patience and said out loud, "I have to get back to work!". He was given his order a couple of minutes later with apologies. I would say your best bet during lunch time is to call in your order for pickup. First visit here today. I had the 1/2 Cuban sandwich, and a chicken & cheese arepa. I loved both equally. It was served with black beans and rice. I loved the black beans, as they were not spicy. It's a great "hidden" place; it look like they most costumers are from around warehouses, you will not find it if you don't use your GPS; Food was fresh and enough to leave full. Absolutely delicious food! Everything is homemade, the owners run the restaurant and will go out of their way to customize your order. Saturday's are great being you can avoid the huge crowd they get on weekdays, especially at lunch hour! We could not have been more pleased with Mango's. As a healthy and in-shape gourmet, I enjoyed the savory roast pork meal immensely! The pork was tender, with balanced seasoning that was not overwhelming. My vegetarian husband raved about the non-meat Cuban selections that the owners proudly recommrnded, among which were specially-prepared yucca, plantaine, and sweet potatoes, and other fine assortment of appetizers. Mango's black beans and rice were not to be outdoned, definitely. After the main entrees, the owners recommended cortaditos and we happily obliged, along with an order of my husband's must-have flan, which was simply excellent. read more
