Stopped in for lunch on the way down to Key West. Wait staff was wicked friendly and helpful with suggestions. We had two hangover burgers, a Cuban Sandwich, and grilled snapper sandwich. All of the sandwiches were amazing. Great bread, burgers and fish were cooked perfectly. The eggs inside the hangover burger were a perfect over easy. Sides of tater tots and fries were a perfect fit. We liked the food so much we stopped in the way back for breakfast. Breakfast wasn't as good as lunch, but great selections and huge portions. 07/2016 Came back here for the summer and of course stopped in. Hadn't tried the lunch menu back in December and so tried it this time around. Loved it, the best homemade coleslaw of I tasted and the employees are so nice. The food took a little while but it was busy and when the food came it was so fresh and absolutely delicious. I got the chicken salad wrap, tater tots and added coleslaw and my daughter got the three piece fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and corn. I have added pics to both. Will definitely continue to come here. Nice laid back vibe and they have an art shop next door. 12/2015 Great service and the best chocolate chip pancakes. We added whip cream too :). The hash browns weren't so good so when we come tomorrow I will be trying something else. Service was good, quick. Syrup was warmed up and the staff were friendly. We were only in Islamorada for 3 days and made it to Mangrove Mike's twice for breakfast. It is an incredible diner! They have both breakfast and lunch food served all day, with typical diner style food in addition to some more unique items like tater tot towers with toppings and dishes that include the great seafood in the area. The choice of sides is great--you can get hash browns, home fries, tots, or fruit with your meal. Our favorite was the grilled cheese special, with brie, raspberry jam, and a fried egg. Incredible. Really nothing as spectacular as the reviews said. Almost $8 for one egg, hash browns, toast and 2 sausage patties. Typically that's a $4 meal where I'm from but then again everything is overpriced in the keys. Coffee wasn't too bad. Everything seemed not thoroughly cooked. I asked for crispy hash browns and they came out soggy and no where near golden. Even the toast wasn't toasted. The sausage was decent. Their other food might be good but I wasn't very satisfied with the most basic breakfast on the menu. Service was mediocre. The hostess was way more pleasant then our server. Thank you yelp for finding us this little gem. Sitting in a little strip mall u may fly by doing 45 mph. I suggest put on your flashers and slow down. When u walk in you are greeted by the friendly staff and instructed to help your self to the seating. The walls are covered with fishing pictures and has a real local feel to it. So we decided for Christmas...we'd try an adventure... we decided to visit our kid at his work base... so we stopped to eat... Kitchy little place in the keys... I've been to many but I'll stick with Mrs Macs or Harriet cafè... why??? Because I understand that it's a fast food restaurant but like any restaurant if you can't make your soups right or get an order right I won't go back... My husband ordered the soup and it was not to his liking... (it wasn't hot) and I mean soup should be hot not lukewarm... and I don't mean microwave hot but cooked on the stove hot... My meal wasn't that great... mine was simple but they didn't add the tomatoes I wanted... it was a simple egg bacon tomato cheese omelette... how hard is it to screw that up... Our guest wasn't to keen on his omelette either... but then anything with seafood in it I'd stay away from... he said he thought it would be more flavorful but wasn't... And finally service wasn't that great... it seemed like our server really wasn't into it... and don't get me wrong... I understand it's Christmas Day... but I like them work in the people industry (healthcare) and I must deal with people on all levels of ups and downs of downs even on Christmas and holidays... but I put my heart into it even if I don't want to be there... Being a local here in the keys you'll come upon many unique places to dine. Well one summer day I was driving around with my gal trying to find somewhere to grub on for breakfast. We didn't want to eat at our usual places so we decided to try somewhere new to us. After looking intently at the handy Google Maps I stumbled upon this mystical place of wonder. The wait wasn't too bad and parking was good too. Service was great also and it didn't take too long to receive our mouth watery breakfast. I highly recommend the breakfast tater tots topped beautifully with bacon and cheese. It was absolutely delicious, basically after my first bite I felt like those kids who discovered Narnia for the first time in that fantasy movie. Be prepared to punish your toilet severely and have a plumber on stand by after finishing this delicious breakfast.
