    Lobster fritters

Beautiful spot, just wasn't feeling the vibe - we were one and done. Sitting at the bar, you don't get to enjoy the view of the ocean/beach. The bar is kind of meh looking. Guess it would have been better to sit outside or at one of the tables that faces outside to get more of the beachy ambience. Lobster fritters were very good as was the service. Seemed to be a lot more staff than customers - definitely a quieter weekend night.

HOLY GUACAMOLE!!! Delicious food!!! Best food on Key Largo, no kidding. I had the Rasta Pasta which is a Caribbean inspired pasta with coconut jerk sauce that was creamy and spicy and I had it with blackened chicken on top. It was hot, flavorful, and phenomenal!! Service was great and welcoming. The view was beautiful and right on the beach, definitely would recommend to anyone on a vacation in the Keys.

Amazing sunset, food is good. We had the wings and fish tacos and both were delicious, and service was adequate. The only thing I didn't care for is the small high top table they sat us at. I would have preferred a table with regular chair with a back, not the high top as im old and my back needs support. They put us there because we had no reservations but there were plenty of open tables , so not sure what was up with that nonsense! We have been here many many times and never had a reservation so not sure what changed. Of course we will come back but I will make sure I make a reservation and ask for a.table with an umbrella. Maybe they need to pit on their website , reservations required.

We requested to seat near the shaded area, there was no one attend to us. We have to wait for water, wait for some one to take our order and wait for dessert and wait for check. I have to walk to the host to get someone to attend to us. Horrible service. we had pino colada, whole fried fish (quite bland), half lobster for $18 (the only thing I like), watermelon salad (refreshing, but small portion) and key lime pie (the worst key lime pie I had in FL, not authentic, they put whipped cream instead of meringue, the pie is so sour). There is a cute cat which is very friendly and we tried to share some fish meat with the cat, even the cat didn't like the fish. Ironic.

This beach cafe was amazing! The food was delicious, the service was quick, and the view was spectacular! The food also came very quick and the decoration was fitting for the beach vibe I would recommend this place for a lunch by the beach!

Service has not been as dependable as it used to be. Our last two visits staff was setting up for private parties later in the day, and did not ensure the paying customers already there were being served in a timely manner. We watched a few people leave. On this last visit, we stood at the host station for 15 minutes, and then finally had to walk around and look for someone to seat us. They no longer list the 32 oz giant Morada Margarita or Pierre's Punch on the menu, instead they list all the drinks and you can get any of them in the larger size. We decided to go with the Painkiller and the Morada Essence which were completely different than our usual, of course in the 32 oz size. A half hour later, our server brought us the Morada Marg and the Pierre's Punch. We had our hearts set on something different, but went with it since it took 30 minutes to get them and we didn't want to wait another 30. RJ ordered the lobster fritters and I had the snapper special with plantains. His fritters were a little overcooked but my snapper was on point. Service was really a 2 this trip but you can not beat the drinks and the view, even if the drinks weren't even what you ordered.

I always love coming here and I recently came with my boyfriend. It's right on the water and the service is always amazing. The staff are great.

Will never go back! I'm disgusted the food was horrible. The fish dip was mostly mayo and very runny extremely tasteless and bland. The taco Tuesday fish tacos were also tastes less just tasted like fried food. We also ordered the lobster fritters and side of fries not pictured because I just wanted to get out of there. Again fritters tasted just like fair fried food and the fries were cold and stale. The only thing going for this place is the location/view. Service was good our waitress came around multiples times checking up on us and refilling our waters.

It was a hot day starting our Bachelorette Party in the drive to Key West from Miami and we were in desperate need of food and drink. So I Yelped on the road and we took a detour in Islamorada, and found an amazing start to our Keys celebration!!! Morada Beach Cafe is a wonder! Right on the water the sights are beautiful. It's low key, outside and such a hang out spot. We ordered immediately in famish and had the Best Meal!!! Let me say, the food critic in me even if starved, would not post a 5-star unless it's legit. And this place is legit. A ten-star really on the greatest spicy margarita I have ever had. I had the frozen mango one and it hit the spot. Delicious. We ordered our food and around the table was satisfaction. My first meal in the Keys had to be conch! When in Rome. The conch ceviche was a delight. And the discovery of shrimp chips accompanying through, it over the edge in amazement. Two other fish sandwiches ordered with fries- crisped up great. And the seafood mac and cheese we all tried to steal from my bestie! Huge pieces of scallop, lobster, you name it. All food was flavorful and cooked to perfection. An awesome memory to our trip!

Lots of chickens on property! A true Keys experience!
    Joana S.

I got the chicken sandwich on focaccia bread. I make focaccia myself and wow they knocked it out of the park!! I loved the chickens/ roosters around the property- it's a true keys experience! The property itself was magnificent on the water. They have 2 stages so I'm sure they play live music but we got there around 12pm and there wasn't any music playing. Our service was a disappointment unfortunately. Our server didn't even give us silverware or napkins. He also disappeared until we were waiting for the check. I would come back for the food but not the service.

This was our first time here. The food was delicious, the service impeccable and the sunset view was stunning. We will definitely be returning the next we are in the Keys!

The food and atmosphere was excellent, service was horrible! Our waiter didn't seem to know what the fish of the day was and didn't care to ask. He said it was grouper when we first ordered and then said it was mahi and snapper when he brought us our food... if it's the fish of the day you'd think it would be the same fish. We came around 8:30 and there were plenty of people there, but most of them were finishing up their meals. Once it his 9 we were the only couple seated outside. Our waiter seemed annoyed and frustrated that we were still eating, even though they close at 10. Maybe he was having a bad day, but overall he had a bad attitude with us for no apparent reason. Regardless of the service, we had a great time. Very romantic spot, and i'd definitely recommend trying to make it here in time for the sunset.

    Mahi Taco's and watermelon salad.

We're staying at the Cheeca Lodge and Spa across the street. Morada Bay Beach Cafe is part of the Lodge. We went for lunch and it was a very nice experience. Everyone was super friendly, the view was amazing and the food was very good. We had Mahi tacos and watermelon salad. Both were excellent.

Ask the Community - Morada Bay Beach Café

I know there is no bar service but considering the dynamics of your restaurant (Open areas) can a drink be ordered to watch sunset while waiting for table or is alcohol only being served while dining?

Drinks can be self served at the inside/outside bar then taken to the round tables that's for drinks only. There is a specific section where it's to hangout or just drink that doesn't include the dining area

    Do they allow maternity photoshoots?

I don't know, but having done a few myself, I'm pretty sure that if you contact the owners, offer to go during a slow day or slow time of day, keep away from the restaurant a bit and pay a fee they would probably agree.

Do they allow dogs at outdoor seating?

Yes Rachel, There is a Dog friendly section. We Love Animals Cheers…

    Which days have live music/DJ?

Currently there is no live music, it might come back towards the end of the year or next year. It's a bummer

The sampler comes with two conch fritters, two coconut shrimp, two bacon wrapped items (which we replaced), cracked conch, and lobster and conch ceviche. I have to say this while it's fresh in my mind. The moment I had the lobster and shrimp ceviche, I got chills. Just an incredible burst of flavor. Tiny bit of heat at the end but nothing overwhelming. Just really, really good. The conch fritters are solid too. Chewy, not over breaded, and served with two sauces. One is sweet and one is more of a mayo style. There's also something that eats like a conch curry puff situation. I liked the cracked conch better personally, but both are worth trying. The coconut shrimp is also really good. The sampler also comes with tortilla chips on the side. The lobster bisque is delicious. Great flavor with little chunks of what I'm pretty sure is lobster throughout. Nothing more to add really. It's just good. The mahi and avocado dish has a nice seared taste to it. Not flame broiled exactly, but that kind of grilled sear that you want on fish. The pico de gallo is similar to what came with the ceviche, and it works really well here. All in at $75.
