I am completely blown away. Not only was manager Jyoti Seghal incredibly helpful and patient with me, she gave me a great deal and even helped coordinate my move. The facility is clean and well-lit, and feels incredibly safe. The price is reasonable, especially considering it's in the middle of Hell's Kitchen, midtown Manhattan, and I even got a great discount for booking multiple months at once. And the including moving services and shuttle service make this a deal I could not possibly pass up! I would highly recommend the facility for it's convenience, but also for the exceptional customer service I received. Good facility (hence 2 stars) but they will increase prices on you EVERY year by almost 10%. If your plan is to store here for a short period of time using a promo then I would recommend them. Long-term storage becomes way more expensive than is worth it and there are other options out there. It's almost cheaper to store outside of the city at this point and Uber both ways than store with them if you're not going there frequently. read more

Two years I have been a part of the MMS company. I moved to NYC for work and immediately reserved and maintained a space with them. Yes its a bit on the pricey side but hear me out. It is so easy to leave negative feedback, but, when it comes to impeccable service, I was pulled by my instinct to mention a specific name. One word: Kenny. Kenneth Lo works for MMS on 43rd Street and has been through it all with me since I moved there in 2015 and out in the summer of 2017. He is kind, supportive, immediate in his services, and reliable when I have been out of town receiving my personal mail and signing on my behalf, and most of all, patient. He always called me to remind me when it came to late payments and to avoid any late fees. I personally do not the miss the city, but I genuinely miss him. I booked MMS for a very stressful month , moving apartments while my new apartment was being renovated . Expecting MMS to be a difficult process I had the pleasure of working with Ms.Tressan Martin who made sure everything ran super smoothly ! She was very informative , accommodating to the Max (including helping us get things into our vehicle) plus she was a total sweet heart. If any one books MMS be sure to be on the look out for her ! Side note - if you book the shuttle make sure you arrive in advanced to have ALL your belongings at the loading deck . Because as soon as the shuttle rolls up you have 10-15 minutes to load everything ! read more

I was taken. 1. THE move cost 900 dollars instead of 500 as they estimated 2. For the record, Manhattan Mini Storage ("MMS") swears they have nothing to do with the moving company except I hired them because they were wearing "manhattan mini storage" tshirts and in my building previously. The movers were wearing those tshirts when they showed up also. 3. The storage locker that MMS had estimated I would use, costing $150/month wasn't available when I got there and the locker cost $350/month. 4. I prepaid the storage, but while my $150/hr. movers were sitting there I signed a bunch of documents that apparently allowed MMS to pull my credit and it dropped my score. The phone operator just cut me off when I brought it up and said "it's done, there is nothing I can do." I think it made sense to use mini storage, but I would try anybody except Manhattan Mini Storage. read more

I think the entire business is slimey where pricing is concerned. their website says one price then the guy on the phone will quote you a much higher price when you call. if you protest he will pause as if he is looking into the matter then say, oh yes i can get you that better deal. this was not a one time thing. when i showed up to see a unit in person, the guy who was showing me around at the time, quoted me a price of $40 higher per month than the going rate. so for it to happen to me both times i wanted a quote, it must mean that is their business model. that being said, new yorkers do not have a ton of storage options so it seems to be a seller's market. read more

I had a great experience with manhattan mini storage! They came early in my time window for pick up and helped me put my boxes into the van. The driver was wonderful and helpful and made the unloading process so easy. Once we got to the 43rd street location, Cloyde Stephens helped me check in and showed me my unit. The whole process was a breeze. They also had plenty of Dolly's for me to carry my stuff to my unit. Frank S also helped get me a great deal on my unit and booking it over the phone was very easy. After spending Thousands of dollars on monthly charges for the last year. When I vacate our unit they told us it would take 10-15 business days for them to send our hefty deposit back!!! Now its been 15 days later no money no check and when you call no one can give you a straight answer as to when you will get your deposit back! read more

Don't expect your things to be safe if you store them here. I don't know how it's happened, but I've had a number of items go missing from my storage unit over the last month. But since the locks were still intact they don't consider it a "forced entry", so my hands are essentially tied and eating about a $2500 loss. Once I can afford to move everything I will not be using this facility again. read more

This review is not for the facilities which are fine, but rather for the level of information and service provided related to my move, as well as their "recommended" movers, who were terrible. I was told their storage taxi could accommodate my move, despite questioning several times. I did not request this service, but rather it was suggested to me over the phone. The night before my move I called and spoke to another representative who confirmed my suspicion the taxi would not fit my move. She then recommended a company that was truly terrible. In addition, the initial unit suggestion (by the same person who mentioned the storage taxi) was way too small and I had to upgrade as my stuff was on the dock. When I nicely expressed my concern upon arrival, they could have cared less. This is a reply to the company - While I appreciate your comment, there was not a great difference in my move size when I called the second time - there was always going to be a queen bed + frame + three cushion couch and boxes of clothes. The suggested of the storage taxi and the initial small unit were not appropriate for this job. More importantly, the movers (Q's) you arranged were terrible. While I appreciate you offering to arrange movers last minute, I did have someone else coming at 2pm and would have gladly stuck with them. read more

I used Manhattan Mini Storage for years. They are terrible. They say that you can use " Free Shuttle", but not really true. Watch out when you bring your stuff back from the storage. They ask you when you vacate. It is very tricky when the guy ask you. I was planning to vacate the storage in few months, so I wanted to bring back my boxes a little by little. 1 or 2 boxes each time. So he asked me when you vacate, i said maybe this month or next month, he said that you can't use free shuttle to vacate your room. Then he hang up the phone!!! I can't believe!! So don't say you plan to vacate your room when he asks you!! I will never use this company. read more

I had a great experience at this storage unit facility. When I originally started renting here, I had just moved to New York at the last minute in the last month of my pregnancy. Vanel offered outstanding customer service. He was so kind to find a unit that was closest to the elevator for me, which I didn't even think to ask for. I felt he was very professional, patient, and thorough. The facility itself was clean, and I've seen employees cleaning debris that has been left behind by customers. Most every employee I have encountered here has been friendly. I like that as a customer, you have 2 hours of free parking while using your unit (first come first serve), which makes moving in the area convenient. Very friendly and helpful staff. There's one odd quirk with the elevators, where you have to press the 'down' button in order to get the right-hand elevator to the 7th floor. Besides that, the unit was easy to get to, and it was air-conditioned which was nice. I also really appreciated the ability to have things shipped there. My bother and I had such a horrible and stressful month just even thinking about moving our stuff in and out of storage and the amount of money being spent as well... But at working with Tressan Martin at storage front desk she has completely lifted a weight off of our shoulders and made me feel better knowing that the amount of money we spent was worth it because of her great customer service. We decided to rent storage from this facility as we were making a huge move from Louisiana to NYC! We went in to open our account and the lady at the front desk was very nice and knowledgeable. She offered us water which was a very sweet gesture as it was very hot out and we were walking for a while. She gave us all the info we needed and helped us decide the exact amount of storage we should rent depending on the size of our luggage. We had no problems renting from them. They even offer one free ride to their customers. We came at night to drop off our luggage. We had no problem finding parking. After finishing our move, we came to pick up our stuff and close our account. Once again the front desk staff was professional and helped us close our account within minutes.
