I've been coming here for a loooong time. 5+ years. I've had great experiences and mediocre ones. But the past time I went was just awful. I was getting a gel extension fill and she took such a long time for one of the worst sets I ever got. She charged me 65+ for a full set when it's 35+ for a fill. I don't even realize they scammed me out of $75( I tipped) until after I got home and realized I shouldn't have paid that much. You could see my nails thru the gel extension and my thumb broke off after 6 days. ( the thumb usually is the strongest one so I was shocked) then one by one it started cracking and I was so upset because I was hoping to have these nails for my trip. Now I feel cheated of $75 and now my nails look like this :( I'll be giving them a call when they open to see if they can help me out since im a loyal customer but I'll post an update if otherwise. The two stars are for Emily who gave me really cute Halloween nails that lasted over a month and half with no lifts. I wish I was patient and just waited for her availability because she wouldn't have scammed me. Update: no refund and the receptionist explained why gel and removal of color was another 30+. the transparency of inflation in price wasn't mentioned during my appointment. The receptionist also said because it's been over a week she can't do anything which I understand. read more

This was my second time coming here. I would like to say last time Tina was a wonderful tech and my nails were perfect! I came back asking for her and she was off today, so they gave me Chole. She was very sweet but I have to say she seemed very inexperienced. She left the nail remover on too long and my hands started to burn. I had to ask her to remove it and I also needed to ask for a bowl of water to wash them off. My appointment was at 9:30am and I didn't leave until 11:40am (basic mani pedi with gel). I had to ask her to fix the length of my nails because they were uneven. At the end of my appointment, my nails were still uneven and for how much time she spent, she kept running to the back and I felt like she was unorganized and I'm not happy with how they came out or the service. I wouldn't recommend her so if you do get her, do yourself a favor and ask for someone else. The price is fair. Will come back only for Tina! read more

This place is pretty pricey, but it was an absolutely perfect way to treat myself using a generous gift card. The spa pedicure was $52 (about $55 with tax) and came with a sugar scrub and those super luxurious paraffin wax treatments. The entire service lasted for about an hour, and my legs and feet felt so much cleaner and more presentable. The massage included hot stones, and although I've had better foot massages at other salons, the massage chairs were great at getting knots out in my back. I was a little worried about social distancing because there are so many chairs next to each other, but it ended up being fairly empty on a Sunday afternoon. There were only a few others getting pedicures, and there was a lot of space between all of us. I sympathized when the technician shared that some customers get upset with them for their mask requirement - all the customer is doing is sitting in air-condition and getting feet cleaned, whereas the technician is massaging, cleaning, and scrubbing and doing that with a mask. I love to support companies that genuinely take covid concerns and precautions seriously. read more

Honestly, I do not leave negative reviews. I have left a few great ones where expectations were far surpassed. I even waited a couple days to simmer. However, this was such an awful experience that I hope others can avoid. I am in Honolulu often for work, and was here for the week. I was unable to get a pedi prior to leaving and had some extra time. I asked our local team member for a referral and since this is located in the Ala Moana mall, essentially behind our store, she suggested this is where I should go. The tech was young, I actually believe she may have been a teen and was learning how to provide nail service. After 45-50min, and I am being conservative, she was still unable to remove my previous gel nail polish. This has NEVER happened. After getting most off and proceeding with the service, I could tell there was still fell on my large toenail (was a very light translucent pink). I asked multiple times to have it fully removed to no avail. All the while coming from a place of awareness that this is a first world problem and trying to be chill. But, when she had difficulty even just cutting my nails (I get consistent pedi's so no jokes ;)), I knew I needed to leave. All while this was happening, nail techs checked on her but no switch was made. Once she filed the edges after cutting my nails, I simply asked for some clear polish and l left. This service was terrible. And something else I never say, believe it could have been impacted by my ethnicity. (After writing this I reviewed past reviews and now feel even more so that bias played a role. Seeing the images of who posted 4/5 star reviews just supports my thoughts) I have thought about this since it happened two days ago and am still bothered by it. I am in retail, I oversee stores, service and procedures so try to be empathetic, generous of perception and tip well! A review like this is not my norm. Customer service was dismal. Our reservation was not honored. And for the first time ever, I got fungus on my nails afterward. Steer clear! Not a clean or friendly spot. This was my first time to this nail salon, it is bigger than usual salons and very clean. The pricing is moderate. I got a deluxe spa pedicure. The pedicure chairs are comfortable and work well. I did t like that the nail tech kept trying to push me to get gel polish instead of regular polish. She asked me once and I said no, but she still tried to insist I get gel. I didn't give in and got regular polish. I also wish that my massage was was a little more intense. It didn't feel like she was putting much effort in my massage. We were told to wait as the person who does their waxing was currently finishing up another customer's eyebrows and assured us, we were next. Twenty minutes later we're still waiting as the lady at the counter tells us they don't take appointments for eyebrow waxing, as she glances over to one of the manicurists, and says we're free to go somewhere else. She then walks out from behind the counter and walks over to look at how far along the manicurists is with that client. Terrible experience!! Lash tech kept pulling on my mask! And I became uncomfortable. I asked her if Masks were required in the salon and she said yes! I looked around and there was no signs saying that. The Covid 19 is way over now. I chose to still wear a mask however. I don't usually complain but I felt discriminated against. I have been going here for nail care over the past 12-16 months for nail care. I had one nail tech that was wonderful but for some reason she left so the last couple times my service has been awful. My gel polish manicures would start to peel off 1-2 days after my service and then get questioned when I would return as to what happened or being told " that doesn't happen to gel polish" Duh!!! that's why I'm back to get it repaired. Anyway I use to feel like they took their time and my service was great. What my girlfriend has to say: I absolutely love this salon! I normally get an acrylic set with gel and they do such a good job at it every time. The nail techs are so good at finding the colors I have in mind but can't exactly find on my own when I'm looking through their options (I have a hard time picturing the color off of samples that's all). I also had a little issue with chipping and they had no problem letting me walk in to re-do it. I actually just needed 2 fingers re-painted and they did all of them anyway!! Summary: I booked an appt for 2 pm and came in the next day for my appt to be told my nail tech was given away to another customer and I had to come another time because my appointment was scheduled for 1:30 pm. However I had a text confirmation saying my appt was at 2. They eventually got me a nail tech and charged me $120 for a simple gel extension with two french tips, one on each hand. Do not recommend. I originally had booked an appointment to get my nails done for valentine's day, as one would. I came in on a Saturday afternoon (not expecting an appointment) but checked anyways. They were booked until six so i decided to make an appointment for Sunday at 2 pm. I got a text confirming my appointment later that day. However, when I when to the appointment the next at 2 pm, they told me my appointment was scheduled for 1:30 and they already gave away my nail tech?? I work nearby and decided to walk to Ala Moana and try this spa. The front desk was kind and booked me for an acrylic fill, later that afternoon. I had my acrylics done 2 weeks prior at a spa in pearl city. I came back and was taken care of by Vanessa. She is kind, patient, diligent, and has a good eye! Did a walk in appointment here because I didn't have time to get a pedicure before leaving for my vacation. Prices were high but I suppose it is Hawai'i ($50 with getting a flower design on both my toes). Massage chairs were nice and relaxing especially after a long flight! My specialist also gave me an amazingg foot massage and was very kind. She strongly encouraged me to get gel on my toes but I denied because my toes usually last 2 weeks with regular polish and I was only going to be in Hawai'i for 1 week. What really stood out was the fact that I kid you not 4 weeks later my toes still looked brand new. Even the little diamonds in the centers of the flowers were still on. And this is with being in the Hawaiian ocean and sand! No lie the toes never chipped until they had grown out past their due date anyways. And this was regular polish. Very impressed. This is not my first time at this salon, it is, however, the first time I've had problems there. When I got to the pedi chair, I was given a list of services offered, ex. Mani, pedi waxing etc. I wasn't given the option for scrubs that I'd previously had during covid. So I wanted rose gold glitter. She did 2 coats of red and gold glitter before I stopped her and told her it was the wrong color. She denied it. I stopped her again, she goes and gets then right color. I've been coming here to wax my eyebrows and upper lip for 5 years now. I just finished my upper lip wax appointment and I actually have never been more DISGUSTED! This salon is very unsanitary and dirty! She wiped my upper lip to start the process but everything went downhill from there. As she started to apply wax to my lip, I noticed that a waxing stick was ALREADY in the wax pot, but I thought that maybe she might have put that in too quick for me to see. She applied the first layer then proceeded with a clean wax strip to peel off the wax. Then she applied the wax to the other side of my lip WITH THE SAME STICK THAT SHE PREVIOUSLY USED. Not only is this very unsanitary and just plain GROSS, but it's very unprofessional. She then uses the SAME WAX STRIP to remove the wax. She then dips the SAME wax stick back into the wax pot and leaves it in there after we finish. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE FOR YOUR WAXES!!! I'm really disappointed that this happened as I have been coming here for 5+ years! read more

Mani Pedi Spa was first recommended to my by a friend who is an operating room nurse,who was conscious of their autoclave sterilized tools,gloves, disposable basin covers .When I was diagnosed a type 2 diabetic,She recommended that I try to get regular pedicures. With COVID,then the hurricane, I was overdue. On arrival today, my temperature was taken by a mounted pad, the checkin desk is surrounded by plexiglass,@ worker has gloves-mask- and a headband like hat with a large clear shield. Every other chair was empty. In the warm water my feet soaked in,was a round disposable plastic pad connected to the side of... the basin/or the faucet- that drew air in and made bubbles; when I stepped on it,it flowed ultra violet,to assist in decreasing viral count. Every two hours or so,there's a walkthrough ,where the salon & aisles are lightly sprayed with disinfectant with a UV light aiming also. Each aesthetician immediately sprays down chairs when the customer departs. Impressive. This is all beside the point that the manicurists and aesthetician are superb at what they do, polite, professional-I live having a spa day there. read more

​Last week I went in to get a basic pedicure. I must say I had an awful experience. Honestly , I do not want to give this place a bad review but my nail tech was very inexperienced. She looked super young (teenager age) and had no idea what she was doing. I originally had gel polish on my toes that had to be removed. She took a while trying to remove the previous gel polish off my toes. After she removed the gel polish, she started to file n trim my cuticles. She barely trimmed any of my cuticles because I hardly seen any dead skin on the cuticle tool. After she did that step I thought she was going to let my feet soak in the bath tub to help remove any excess debris but no she wipes my feet down with a dirty towel and starts to apply the primer and gel polish. As my toes were curing under the UV lamp with the first base coat , I could still see that she didn't fully remove the previous gel polish. She continued to apply the 2nd n 3rd coat and said that I was done with my pedicure. I was so confused on what was going on and at the end of the service she applied an oil all over my feet and put my sandals on. I did not receive any foot massage nor a hot towel. As I was walking towards the front , I almost tripped because my feet was so oily. Please retrain this girl or at least give the customers a heads up that she's new and still learning. My pedicure was not worth $65. I shouldn't have even tipped her at all but I felt bad. read more
