My family and in-laws dined at T&Y Hawaiian BBQ on a Sunday and had a great meal. The restaurant is fairly small with only a few tables inside, but in the time that we were there, no one else dined in, all others were taking orders to-go. You order at the counter when you walk in, and they bring food out when it's ready. There were 5 of us so we decided to get the family meal deal plus some extras. Items ordered from the meal deal were - Teriyaki Chicken, Orange Chicken, Shrimp Broccoli (up charge), Macaroni Salad, & Vegetable Lo Mein (up charge). Other items we got were - Crab Rangoons, Spring Rolls, Spam Fried Rice, and Katsu Chicken. For drinks, we had ordered the Blueberry Smoothie and a couple of Thai Teas. Needless to say, we had a ton of food! The items we enjoyed most were the Teriyaki Chicken which came atop a bed of cabbage and broccoli, Fried Rice (although, I'd probably get it with a different protein, spam wasn't my personal choice but it was good), the Shrimp Broccoli, as well as the Spring Rolls & Crab Rangoons. The two dishes that had vegetables were my favorites since the chicken & shrimp were cooked well and the vegetables were done well, crunchy and satisfying. The appetizers were fried nicely, crispy. The smoothie and Thai Tea were good. The Orange Chicken wasn't bad but had more breading than I prefer and also the sauce all pooled to the bottom, it just needed to have been tossed a little more. Macaroni Salad was as expected but nothing special, same with the Chicken Katsu but the sauce was pretty good. The Vegetable Lo Mein is probably the only dish I'd say to skip altogether; overall, bland compared to the other items. If you're in the area, check them out. Food is very subjective and what you might like may not hit the same for me. I will never yuck the yum of someone else! On my visit to T & Y Hawaiian BBQ I was very much looking forward to having the Curry Chicken. I was informed it is no longer available. So I had the BBQ Chicken and Korean Chicken. When I opened up my container, I did not get the Korean Chicken. The BBQ Chicken had a good flavor to it. The rice was on the dry side which was a let down. Unfortunately I am not a fan of the mac salad here. The dinning area was super clean. I went during the week during dinner service. I was the only customer there. I did not think anything of it. It was quiet and clean inside. The food was so good! The portions are friendly and their pricing is great compared to other place for what you get. We tried their combination noodles 10/10. The restaurant felt clean and welcoming as I entered. I ordered the Sautéed Beef and Fried Shrimp 2 item dish. It came with macaroni salad, rice and steamed vegetables. There was a kind lady at the register. She was patient and took time to make sure my order was correct. The fried shrimp was really good so was the beef. I feel like there was way too much rice, but I only say that because I don't know how to tell myself not to eat it all. Lol. There was a brown sauce that I was given. I am not sure what it was. There was not a-lot of flavor to it. It didn't stand out as tasting like teriyaki . I put it on anyway. Overall, the portions were great and the food was good. Pricing was really reasonable too. My friends and I were craving Hawaiian BBQ but didn't want the usual chain option. We came across T&Y Hawaiian while searching on Yelp. Not bad for a first impression! We ordered at the restaurant for takeout. The inside seating area is pretty small, but the food came out really quickly. As soon as we ordered we heard the kitchen making our order, so it was hot and fresh. We each got the 3 entree meal. I got the Kalua Pork, White Fish Fillet, and the Chicken Katsu. We also shared an order of the Spam Fried Rice on the side. The Spam Fried Rice was great! Really good sized portion for sharing as well. The entree meal also impressed, all 3 proteins tasted flavorful and fresh. While my pork was nice and juicy, unfortunately the juice did leak over into my Mac salad and Chicken Katsu, making the breading soggy. I can't really knock points on the restaurant for that though, there's only so much room in the box when you get 3 proteins. I think next time I'll just ask for the Kalua on the side. Solid new local find for Hawaiian BBQ. Stopped in while craving Hawaiian flavors and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the shrimp lo mein with a side of BBQ beef -- both were well seasoned, served hot, and the portion size was generous enough for leftovers (always a win). You definitely feel like you're getting good value for the price. Service at the counter was friendly and efficient, and the space itself was clean and comfortable. It has a small eating area, just a couple of tables so it's designed more for takeout. The food was good and better priced than Ono. We usually pay about $35 there and only paid $20 here and had enough for leftovers. I would say overall Ono's taste better, but if you're counting pennys, give this place a try. read more

We are from out of town and wanted to try everything so we also ordered manapua and the beef short ribs (AKA...Kalbi). I thought the teriyaki chicken was the best tasting of everything we ordered and the chicken was very juicy. The soup and fried rice was filled to the gills with shrimp, so I am very happy about that. The flavor was a little bland but I usually add a whole bunch of hot sauce anyway so that didn't bother me. We also ordered taro boba tea and mango smoothie boba... and they were ok, but definitely needed a little more mango in there to actually taste like mango. It seemed a bit flavorless. The taro tea just needed a little more sweetness. Overall I give it 4 stars because the people here are just so so nice and the food is plentiful! These days other places give you so little and charge way more so I appreciate the quantity and the quality was good. Just needed a little more seasoning. read more

This is the best Chinese food I've had since moving to Arizona 10 years ago. Goodyear finally has a good one! It's small and a third of the menu is Hawaiian but the other 2/3 is a fairly standard Chinese menu. I had the beef with broccoli and my husband had the bbq chicken lo mein. The place is really nice and clean with a big menu, friendly service. And fresh food prepared upon ordering. I tried the kaula pork 2 times, it doesn't really taste like kaula pork. There is no Smokey or salty flavor at all and it's not very moist. I had the Mongolian beef which was good except they put a ton of jalapeno peppers in it, even though I picked them all out it ruined the dish for me. Still to hot and spicy. I've never had Mongolian beef like that in any Chinese restaurant. So they are missing true Hawaiian flavors of the island and they should ask or mention if you want your Mongolian beef spicy and hot. Big turn off for Me. It must be Korean ran or have a Korean cook. But they give you decent portions and it's cooked fresh, the place is very clean. I've been there 3 times now and will go back if I'm in the area.
