This morning I took my wife to Manna Donuts in Yucaipa. I moved from Yucaipa 15 years ago, and hadn't been back for donuts there since. Manna used to be one of my morning stops years ago, and Ty always had the best donuts. So could it change in 15 years...most things do. Nope, still fantasic donuts (and we bought a selection), and there stands Ty behind the counter. Although I'm wearing a Covid mask, I can see he still recognizes my face after 15 years. The only donut shop in Yucaipa and the hrs very. i haven't had a chance to visit this place since i moved to Yucaipa almost 3 years ago because everytime i go there closed. hrs online is not accurate. they open & close when every they want. i wish they stook to there hrs or someone els open a donut shop in Yucaipa. I never see any people there when I pass by and I pass by very often. So I wouldn't know the ambiance there. read more

Ty is one of the last truly caring business owners. I've been coming to Manna Donuts since I was in middle school and even after moving away for 5 years, Ty remembered me when I moved back. He really does care about his customers more than almost any other employee/business owner I've ever seen and is always so helpful and sweet. The donuts are great and I always grab a dozen when we have houseguests. While the artisan gourmet donut places are fun, there's no beating Manna Donuts for classics and all around value. read more

Yes the donuts taste good! But they are not clean by any means! It's a real bummer because the taste is there but is it worth eating hair that you might not see thats weaved into the dough or within the icing! Donuts? Let's go nuts! While I wouldn't consider these particular doughnuts any form of manna, the ones served here are always fresh and consistent. I can't say that I have ever had a negative experience here: Doughnuts have always been well replenished and fresh, exterior and interior of shop have always been clean from what I've noticed, and staff has always been friendly. I know they used to be open 24/7 once upon a time, but I had heard some unfortunate biz went down and they put an end to that. Either way, it does not take anything away from the actual taste of the doughnuts. I wouldn't consider this place a game changer in the donut game or even think they particularly do anything unique, but they offer all the old stand bys and you can easily pop in grab a dozen fresh, tasty doughnuts w/ very little effort at all. Again, I wouldn't consider them "manna", but what they do have is simple, fresh doughnuts done right. read more

This is a good place where they are prompt to give you what you ask and their donuts are always (or it seems that way) fresh. I like the fact that if you order a dozen they will give you an extra donut for free. VERY NiCE. What I would change is the fact that they charge you I think $.45cents per credit transaction which is annoying at times. Very professional and good customer service. read more

I have tried all the local donut shops and Manna donuts is where it's at. The owner Ty is always so inviting. His dozen donuts is always a bakers dozen (13). They make the fluffiest, softest donuts around. I just ordered 10 dozen from him for my sons graduation party. I also take two dozen to my work every Friday and everyone is always wondering where I get these most amazing donuts. He also offers stuffed croissants and various other special pastries. Well after seeing the two 5-star reviews for this place, I was excited to try it. The first thing noticed was the size of the doughnuts. They are huge! We ordered up a good variety to complete the baker's dozen and retreated back to the car. I was eager to bite into one, and I found myself disappointed. My belief is that the oil they used to fry them must have been old. They left a pretty bad aftertaste, akin to eating fried wontons. Fried wonton aftertaste isn't bad when you've been chowing on Chinese food, but not doughnuts. It's been a few hours and to be honest, I am still burping that fried taste. Bleh...... Because of all the good ratings I chose to go to get donuts here this morning. The man who was behind the counter was Ty and I'm guessing is the owner? I told him I was going to get at least two dozen donuts and I would lIke two boxes and let him know which donuts go in which box. (I was bringing donuts to someone else so I was very careful to let him know which donuts to put in which box.) When I asked about a croissant that had cream cheese inside, I asked if there was a way he could put some chocolate on top. He began telling me it wouldn't taste good. I told him that it does taste good because I've had it at another bakery. Again, I just asked if it was possible and I would pay extra. He told me he would have to put it in a separate box. I said ok. Without saying anything he ran to the back and came out with a sloppy messy glob of chocolate on top. I asked if it could be spread across the top and he went to the back and came out with half of the chocolate wiped off. Then he threw (and I mean threw) the donuts into one of the big boxes. I asked why he wasn't separating them like he said and he said, "It's ok like that." It wasn't ok because he just began throwing donuts into the boxes without organizing them at all. I tried to tell him he was mixing up the boxes but he just ignored me. There was chocolate all over the other donuts and all over the outside of the two boxes! On the bottom of the box there was powdered sugar so that it made a mess in my car. I ended up having to switch donuts around once I got to my car because he had smashed a couple of the cinnamon rolls with heavier buttermilk donuts on top of them. I almost walked out without the donuts but I was in a hurry. I wasn't rude to him. I spoke very kindly to him. I don't understand how he gets such good business with his behavior. He acted like a child having a temper tantrum throwing the donuts into the boxes. I was thinking it was also strange that he wasn't wearing a mask. I was thinking that I won't go back but I probably will to try it out again because if he does the same thing I will walk out and he can deal with the mess he makes. Ugh! read more

My mother loves doughnuts and I visited Manna Donuts on a whim to purchase some for her birthday. There was only one customer ahead of me and I was helped promptly by a friendly gentlemen who made my apparent first time a little less awkward by suggesting popular items and waiting patiently as I struggled with my choices. He was so kind as I finished up my order, even giving me a free glazed doughnut with my dozen. Everyone agreed the quality of these doughnuts was higher than most we had tried before. Especially notable were the lemon curd, apple fritter, buttermilk crumble, and chocolate bar (my mom's favorite!).
