I only have amazing things to say about the food here.. sooo delish. Our waitress was wonderful. However we arrived at 630pm on a saturday. We were not suprised to see a small wait which is fine. We went to make our way to the bar and there would have been room for us. They may have 7-8 seats at the bar 4 were being used by children waiting with their parents. I was with my parents who would have love to sit at the bar and have a drink while we waited the 30 minutes. This was a bit disappointing. Children should not be sitting at a bar drinking water or soda. We would have prob had a few drinks but werent able to. I worked in this business for a long time and never did we allow children to sit at a bar. We mentioned it to the lovely girl that took our name she agree but I dont think she wanted to say something to anyone. Just suggestion make room for people that will actually utilize the bar for a cocktail not children. read more

Service sucks and the staff is rude. I have tried this a couple of times thinking must be a bad day. Nope, just very rude.

This place is really hit or miss. My boyfriend and I come here often because he is from the area. Since it's a nice local business, we always try to order from here, and give them another chance if something goes wrong. That being said, things do tend to go wrong. If you're just here for the pizza, you won't be disappointed. Their pizza is tasty, but I wouldn't say its the best I've had. But, I have no complaints about just grabbing a few slices from the counter. It's usually when ordering take-out that we have a problem. Someone in my boyfriend's family is lactose intolerant, and their usual order is a chicken cutlet hero, no cheese, sauce on the side. For the life of me I cannot understand how hard the words "no cheese" are to comprehend. We even repeat this multiple times on the phone to make sure it's written down. There have been numerous occasions when we get home to find cheese on the hero and have to turn around and go back. It's gotten to the point where we check either in the restaurant or at the car so we don't have to make the trip twice. At a time when so many people have different allergies and allergy awareness is high, I don't understand why it is so difficult to ensure that no cheese it put on the sandwich. I've also noticed the counter help seems to change EVERY time we go, and there seems to always be a help wanted sign on the window. Maybe this is why they can never get our order right, the constant overturn of staff and never having experienced counter help. Whatever the reason it really does get very frustrating that something so simple is so often wrong. Despite the frustration, we still go back, which I guess is probably a good sign. Totally disgusted with customer service. Our order was placed at 6:00pm, was expected at 6:45 pm. We ordered through grubhub ( which is not at fault in any of this). Our driver was there from 6:15 waiting for the food. I called the restaurant at 7:15 to find out what was happening and the first person I spoke to told me ( with an attitude) there was a problem in the kitchen, they are backed up , what do I want her to do about it. She takes my name to find out where the order is. 5 minutes go by and another person answers like I just called tell her the same thing. I am now on the phone for 15 minutes and decide to call from a different line. Someone picks up and I tell them I need a manager do not put me on hold. She says he's in the back so she has to but magically when I tell her again I don't want to be put on hold the manager picks up. He continues to tell me that there's an hour and a half wait and that's just what it is so I need to wait. I continue to explain my frustration that if they deal with grub hub they are responsible for what they commit to (45 mins). Then he tells me that he needs to get off the phone with me so he can get my order out. His way of handling this all is buying me a drink the next time I come in ( which is the biggest crock of B.S. I have ever heard). Because if they think I will ever eat at that restaurant again they are mistaken. What has happened to customer service, what has happened to doing the right thing, standing behind your company. So here I am 8:00 having dinner with my two little babies ( who are starving and should be sleeping) having a wonderful (not!!! Aggravated!!!) Mother's Day. In any restaurant you should never receive an order and the customer receive it ( cold by the way) 2 hours later. I must say, I'm pretty neutral with this place. I personally think it is very small to be both a Dining area/Pizza joint. Basically if you get pizza you aren't allowed to sit with the fancy cloth tables. And if you wanted a pasta dish you can't sit in the booth with the Pizza goer's. Back to the idea tho, I feel like this location should pick one or the other. And from experience I'd say they were packed out on the pizza side.. not on the restaurant side. Wow. This place was bad. The pomegranate margaritas we ordered were not good, we sent them back. That's the only time I've ever sent back a drink in my life. I got the special of the night, veal meatballs with angel hair pasta. The sauce tasted like it was out of a jar and the veal was gross. My boyfriend got whole wheat pasta with grilled chicken. His sauce was so watery it was just pooled at the bottom of the bowl, and his chicken wasn't even seasoned so it was very bland. The caesar salad was huge and nothing special. My boyfriend enjoyed the pasta fagiole but again, it was enormous so be aware of their huge portions. You won't even need a meal after the app! Overall, we will not be back. read more

Really disappointing experience. Went for lunch with a coworker and ordered veal Parmesan. I asked whether I could substitute a vegetable for the pasta like broccoli rabe and he said yes but there would be an up charge, no problem. Veggie sides are $5 so I figured a couple of dollars for an upcharge. Get the bill and I'm charged 8.95 for a side of broccoli rabe. When I spoke to the manager he wasn't very nice, said I had to pay for a whole side of broccoli rabe and when I asked for the side of pasta that should have come with my dish he very grudgingly brought one out. A $15 lunch became a $25 lunch with one misunderstanding. A good manager would have cared to make our experience a bit nicer than he did. He was very rude. Never again. Wow, read some of the other reviews before I went thinking people were just being drama queens. I went in to simply pick up an order and saw a waiter pointing on the menu yelling at a customer and the counter girl could not have been any more difficult in the simple task of saying my name and receiving my order. Had a family birthday dinner there on Monday, Jan 14 2019. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the waitstaff very friendly. The water was delicious with no chlorine taste. Big plus with me. The food was delicious though prices were quite high. The two adults had the cod w/spinach and swordfish with spinach specials. The portion sizes were woefully small on the fish. Costing $32 and $33 respectively, we were left wanting more. Each portion of fish would be around $3 in a fish store. Specials are always risky, I must admit, as you don't learn the price until you see the check. The desserts were pricey as well and nothing to write home about. I don't normally post things like this, but I wanted to share a recent experience involving two local restaurants - the first being Mannino's in Smithtown. A little backstory....My son's 7th birthday was just this week and I had lost sight of putting together something for him in light of a death in the family and Easter coming. At the last moment, last Saturday we decided to take some of his cousins bowling and to dinner. In total with adults and kids, about 15 people. We were going to Smithtown Lanes to bowl and then dinner. I called Mannino's in Smithtown, where we have been several times before, that morning and the man who answered was so rude to me I was surprised. In short, he told me that on a Saturday night at 5pm he couldn't take a reservation for a table like that of mixed kids and adults as he would be losing money on the table, but we could "come in and spread out in the booths if there are seats in the pizza part and order whatever". I was so taken aback by it I actually asked him to please repeat or clarify and he said again, no, we won't take you and "waste" that space. To be clear, we asked for nothing special except dinner and for as many adults as kids. I hung up feeling deflated and sad. Not just for how I allowed him to speak to me, but that people would have that attitude about customers. Based on reviews I read online, I called Giorgio's in Nesconset, although I had never been there. A young man answered the phone, I posed the same question about a reservation and he was so kind and friendly. Said it would be no problem, we were welcome to bring a cake they would cut, and since we were going out before he would make the reservation a bit later but have the table prepared ahead of time just in case. What a different response and feeling. We went and everything was set up, which took up half their dining room seats, and they were pleasant and happy to see us. The food was excellent and surpassed my expectations and the server was friendly, funny and right on point. I observed the same warm and friendly service given to the rest of the patrons, dining room and pizza part alike. The young man who answered the call originally we met and he couldn't have been more than 19 or so, and so kind. He came out to sing Happy Birthday to my son too. The experience was great, when we left everyone waved and wished us a Happy Easter. They made life long customers of us. It is further for us to travel then several nearby restaurants, but I would rather travel for good food and kindness. In the end it turned out to be a great day for my son, and us. And I learned something about a local place I will never visit again and found a new place to call a favorite. I am sorry for the length of this, and it was just my experience, but sometimes one experience can change your perception of a person or place forever. Food was phenomenal I had eggplant parm and ziti. It was so delicious mouth watering actually. The eggplant was melt in your mouth excellent and was easy to cut and the sauce was easy on the stomach because I typically suffer from acid reflux from tomato sauce but this did not give me any issue and I love eggplant they did a great job. read more
