Skinny burrito express more like it. Tried tacos from here half a year ago and they were decent. Today, I wanted to try their burrito and see how it stacks up against other noteworthy Mexican staples in this area (los burritos / el rodeo / panchos) Seems to be more expensive than their competitors while being the saddest burrito ever. See images for scale. This "king" size burrito was even skinnier than the pics let on. Hope for the flavor to at least be comparable.... Nope, just a few bites in and it was a soupy burrito inner - just ew texture. Amount of steak was disappointing.

We were in the area and looking for something to eat. Saw this place had good reviews, and it did not disappoint! Our food came out quickly, and the person who helped us was very nice. The restaurant was simple and clean. My fish tacos with their recommended pico toppings was soo good!!

Great food! Torta was very good. I got the steak and my boyfriend got the chicken torta, the meat was very flavorful and the bread was super toasty but soft enough to eat. Cooked very quickly I'd say it took less than 5 minutes for both meals and the customers service was excellent. The fries were super good and not too salty. The interior was clean and very organized. Came in at a slow time so I'm not sure how busy it can get.

Mannys Burrito Express in Schaumburg is all right with me. It's a small restaurant with a few tables on the inside. Order at the counter, wait a few minutes, pick up your meal when called. I love tex-mex and sadly this is not quite that. Still, the portion sizes are generous relative to the price. Their huge burrito meal hit the spot and I still had rice and beans left. I had a hearty beef burrito and there was enough cheese and sour cream to provide some rich and savory flavors. The side of rice was nice as well as the refried beans. These sides maintained there place as sides and nothing more. I returned a couple of weeks later and had the chicken fajita dinner. Having fajitas in a wet sauce was something new to me. They looked more flavorful than they actually taste, but I still enjoyed them. The last thing I tried was the King Burrito. Not a fan of french fries in my burrito and now I know. Fortunately, I can count on Mannys to provide a solid Mexican meal when I am hungry.

Wow. Just wow. This place is a new little gem of Schaumburg and I can't wait to go back. The guy sold me easily on the fish taco dinner and told us that they have a 10 dinner card to get a free dinner. The service was fast and the food was fresh, affordable, and quality. The fish tacos had me GOING at the first bite! I had to tell the staff that they were fantastic! It's the sort of tacos that you would get at a bigger restaurant for double the price. This place was selling them for a steal at around $8 for the 3 taco dinner. I was talking to my wife about the fish tacos as we were driving back home, and I never have that kind of passion for fish tacos. These guys understand how to make quality food for a good price. Was driving through and saw this 5 Star restaurant with a decent amount of reviews. I was skeptical at first but I was surprised. The food was great, the price was great, the thing that was amazing was the service. They were very helpful and after finding it was our first time gave us good recommendations. It was refreshing to have such good service and if I am in the area again I will be back. The steak fajitas were my favorite, and the chimichanga had almost too much flavor. The salsas were great and my favorite was the green one. read more

I have been in fine dining or an owner myself for 40 years. Food is my life, I think I know what's great. I CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHY MANNY'S ISN'T PACKED EVERY HOUR THEY ARE OPEN. He doesn't advertise. Word of mouth. Well the word is GO. NOW. I've never had better fish tacos, his regular steak tacos are out of this world. Queen burrito? One of the best things I've ever tasted. Clean, family owned. Happy to support this family owned business- I have dined in and picked up take out and every time the service is friendly and efficient and my food is fresh and delicious. Free chips and salsa if you dine in and the staff is very attentive the whole time you are there- it feels more like you are a guest in their home than in a restaurant. The fish tacos are addicting (mouth is watering typing this) and their king burrito has fries inside! Fries in a burrito! Pico and limes are always fresh- two more things I appreciate about this place. They also offer a punch card- buy 9 dinner get the 10th free. I do wish they had a fountain machine instead of canned and bottled drinks. Keep it up Manny's!! read more

A strip mall with a hidden restaurant that may not seem like much, but Mannys burrito express is a hidden gem in Schamburg. This little treasure has some of the best homemade Mexican food . They make everything from scratch and you can tell. Flavors are on point and so much delicious food I usually have enough for lunch the next day (or a great midnight snack) I highly recommend this wonderful place for a great meal read more

I think I found my favorite neighborhood Mexican spot! I'm so glad we finally tried this place! I ordered the tamale dinner and the bf ordered the steak burrito dinner. We also ordered chips and salsa. Everything was delicious...ready very quickly...I stopped by and ordered and waited for my food. It probably only took 5-10 minutes for my order to be ready. Portions were good sized and food was inexpensive. We will definitely be ordering again! read more

Very happy with my experience here. I lived in the city for 12 years and now live in a pretty Mexican-heavy area along Cermak Ave. (Cicero) so I really know / enjoy GOOD Mexican food. This place is pretty legit! My husband is Mexican and we both ordered tortas. We both liked the food very much. Service was great - more of a small, take out type restaurant. Again, more of what you would see in the city. -But the food was great. Happy to have found this little gem in my hometown of Schaaaaaaumburg! read more

¡DIOS MIO! We were searching for a new place to try and found Manny's based on my awesome fellow Yelpers. First off, let me just mention if you've ever attempted to host your own Taco Night, you'll completely understand how underrated Mexican cuisine is. To find a good balance of flavors, on top of all the tedious prep work, can drive you to drink sulfuric acid out of sheer frustration. Tacos are often an underappreciated food because we often find good chefs who make the art form seem effortless. So to find an establishment that elevates the humble Taco is nothing short of divine. The restaurant was completely empty at 7pm on a Sunday night which made us a little wary of why nobody else was in there. I'm always up for trying a new place, so gallantly strode in and up to the counter where a friendly young lady greeted us. Two gentleman sprung to life behind her in the kitchen expectantly awaiting our orders. Based on the reviews, I ordered a steak burrito and, although I'm not a big Fish Taco person, I also ordered two Fish Tacos and a large Horchata. After ordering, I noticed a little chalk board that stated Weeked Special: Mango Fish Tacos. I asked the young lady if I could switch to the Mango Fish Tacos and she alerted the chef's immediately. I was trying to keep my expectations low because I'm often disappointed when I get my hopes up. Fortunately this evening, my disappointment was completely dashed from my first sip of the Horchata. What a perfect balance of sweet, texture and cinnamon. The chips were fine but the house salsa was superb. We had barely taken our seats in the immaculately clean eating area, when our food paraded out. The burrito was crunchy and tasty. Again, a great balance of flavors and textures, and absolutely NO GRISTLE that is often found in burritos! After sizing up how beautifully presented the fish tacos were, I took a bite and my mouth instantly exploded with so much flavor! Now, I often pride myself in being a bit of a culinary snob and often eat daintily for a man. People often assume that I prefer food to sex, which can be arguable. Believe me when I tell you this, dear reader, all thoughts of sex was hurled violently out the window as I abandoned any type of table manners and proceeded to pig the F out. My companion even made a comment about snarfing the first half of my burrito as salsa dripped all over my lap and I still regret nothing. I often don't encourage people to frequent hidden gems because waiting in lines make me violent. However, I owe finding this establishment to my fellow Yelpers so go out and have some of the most incredible tacos to pound your face with... read more

I wish I would have taken a picture! We came to mannys burrito because we have heard so much about it on fb so we gave it a shot. I ordered a burgs queen burrito with the fries and steak!!! Delicious! My husband got the king size. So glad I did the queen size I wasn't stuffed to the point where I'm regretting life decisions but satisfied enough to go shopping after. It was so good! Service wise the kid (forgot his name) was so sweet and very friendly and made sure we enjoyed our food. The food came out fast considering there was only 3 tables there. Free chips and salsa and horchata is good too not too sweet!!! Definitely coming back and trying something new!! read more

Do you like to try places that are family owned? Well give this place a shot!!! First off, I want to send a shout out to Manny Jr. for being EXTREMELY respectful and for being EXTREMELY helpful while I was placing a very picky order! I was able to find out this place opened just a few months ago and is family owned. Now... onto the AMAZING food! I ordered steak tacos American style and one pork taco Mexican style. The steak was crazy tender and extremely tasty. The pork taco was crazy tender and had a unique taste that made me regret only ordering one and not seven! In addition, I ordered a queen size steak burrito, which was basically melting in my mouth. Again, the steak was crazy tender and everything was spread out nicely within the tortilla. Each bite I took had a little bit of everything included! Once I sat down, Manny, Jr. brought me some chips and salsa, which were out of this world! Quite possibly the best salsa I've ever had! And the Horchata was BY FAR THE BEST IVE EVER HAD! This place has a handful of booths, but no tables. The prices on their menu are crazy reasonable. If they charged an additional $2-$3 for their dinners, I would still recommend this place and rate it 5 stars! read more

I was hoping to find my permanent taco spot in the area, but this was only ok. The steak tacos were decent, but were definitely skimpy on the toppings, so they were dry. I was hoping to give a nice douse of sauce to assist with that, but the flavor of the red salsa for the tacos was also a little weird and watery, maybe not enough chiles? I love being wowed by flavors and simplicity of rice and beans, but their rice and beans also did not give me what I was looking for. The salsa for the chips is pretty good though. read more

I was craving for fish tacos since 3 days!!!!!! And we decided to stop by Mannys as we had heard their tacos are yum and hell yeah they are! This place is family owned and operated (sweet and very positive family). Very very polite and enthusiastic people. We ordered fish taco dinner, bean burrito dinner and ended up ordering 3 more fish tacos One star less is only because we didn't enjoy their chips at all. (Complimentary) Also the dinner plate comes with rice and beans. The rice was flavorful but the beans not so much. Back to good things... fish tacos YUMMY YUMMY! Very fresh ingredients used. Soft tacos, beautifully fried fish, fresh purple cabbage, salsa and sauce! Perfect! The bean burrito was equally delicious. Fresh ingredients and softest tortilla I've ever had. This is my spot locally for steak burritos, tried the Tortas tonight Basically a hamburger bun with your choice of filling. not getting a tortas again not for me. Sticking to the steak burritos. Maybe the fish, lot of people like those in the reviews may have to try one. And if you're a burrito fan try Steak Burrito by Stratford Square in Bloomingdale, it's literally the size of a football! read more

I still remember the first time I came to this place back in 2018. I bought a cochinita burrito with rice added and I knew for a fact I would be a regular after that. It was so packed with flavor and the meat was unlike anything I had tried. From then on I ordered pretty much everything on the menu and everything was so delicious. Not to mention, the family is so incredibly nice and I find myself having great conversations with Manny Jr. and the rest of the family always wave at me as I walk in. The service and food is unmatched in my opinion. Couldn't recommend more. read more

My daughter and I both ordered the taco plate to go, which comes with 3 tacos with your choice of meat, and rice and beans. The guy helping us us was incredibly nice and helpful. Service was very prompt, and the food was perfect!! We had the carne asada tacos and loved them! We will definitely be going there again!! read more

So grateful that the King Taco/Queen Burrito space has been filled w/ a delicious cilantro/onion/cheese (I add on the cheese) serving restaurant that has a welcoming & grateful server/host/maybe the owner? He has greeted me all 3 visits like it was his own (humble) & I've never been let down w/ the fresh steak (not chewy @all) If you struggle w/ finding a great Carne Asada, Manny's is 3 for 3 allowing me to confidently refer anyone who loves taqueria Mexican Keep doing what you're doing Manny read more

Came specifically for the fish tacos. Best fish tacos I've found in the area so far. The guy working the register was super friendly. The tacos were ready extremely fast but still hot and fresh. I recommend the mango salsa fish taco. It was not listed on the menu but on the board as a daily special. The price was also much more reasonable than most fish tacos at $2.45 per taco or the dinner which comes with 3 tacos, rice and beans for $9.15. Loved these tacos and the corn tortillas were the best I've ever had! Will definitely visit again. read more

We had a nice experience and we liked the food on our first time in this spot and that is why we came back last week cause we are just around the area. Just like the last time, the place was clean and it is quite packed. Staffs are friendly and the service was fast. Their menu is huge and there is various option of different Mexican foods. I ordered a burrito and three different tacos. Seriously their food is all great and has a perfect seasoning. Portions are also huge and the prices is cheap! I haven't explored much of their menu but I am absolutely looking forward to it! read more

By the time our waitress made it back to our table, my food was no longer hot, and we were ready to leave, so I didn't mention it. On the positive side, the drinks were good, there's plenty of parking, and the prices are pretty reasonable. Overall, it's a decent Mexican spot, but it seems like they could use a little more help during busy times.

Some of the chips were a tad greasy but not bad. We started with the Fat Rosie's Queso Dip with Beef added. I thought it was odd that the dish came out as the queso only and they assumed we should use our same chip basket from the salsa. Either way, the dip had really good flavor! For entree, we shared the Burrito with Ground Beef. I liked that this came with rice and beans on the side. The inside ingredients were sadly layered so one never got a bite with everything at once. The meat was scarce and my half of burrito was mostly shell at the end. The saddest part of our experience was the service. Our waitress never stopped by to ask how our meal was, we had to ask for a water refill as my cup sat empty for at least 10 minutes, and were never offered a chip refill especially since we were eating the salsa and queso. This overall was a miss for my husband and I. We left feeling passed over the whole time and like they just wanted to turn the table over.

I have had Al pastor at many, many places, and it's been interesting to see people's takes on the recipes. These were, hands down, the best I've had anywhere. The meat was charred nicely, yet tender. The marinade/sauce had the perfect balance between the sweetness of the pineapple and the counterbalance of the lime, cilantro, and onion. I was so proud of my selection, that I ordered some to-go for my daughter to try. I also had a delicious strawberry margarita and finished off with a tres leches dessert. Everything was superb! I'll be back for that mole someday, and will also try their Taco Tuesday. Judging from my food, as well as the presentations of others choices that I noticed, I believe their chef is seriously talented and creative.

The eggs over medium, the hash browns were cooked and had that bit of crunch from the skillet. Pancakes were a nice size. And the veggie patties were tasty! The coffee with just honey hit the spot. I bought tickets to the 1:30 pm show on Mother's Day. Tickets were $76.95 each, but I was able to get 15% off directly from their website for Mother's Day so I actually paid $65.41 each. I also decided to upgrade to their Queen's package which is an additional $30 per ticket. So overall, I paid around $190 for my mother and I. The doors open at noon- which is around the time we got there. For check in- this is where you are assigned a knight to root for. We got the black and white knight. We also got our VIP lanyards and our package came with taking 2 photos! They didn't open the doors to the arena until approximately 1:00 pm. They have an area just outside of the arena where you can order drinks from the bar, buy souvenirs, watch the horses eat, etc. Once the arena opened we were seated in table number 3 (which is actually the first row). For food we had a tomato basil soup, garlic bread, a very large chicken, and corn on the Cobb. With the Queen package you also get a slice of cake. The food surpassed my expectations, it was really really really good! Everything was. There was not one mediocre dish on my plate- everything was tasty and I wasn't expecting that. My piece of chicken was humongous. The whole meal was super filling. Side-note: we had to eat everything with our hands, because this is medieval times! So, there will be no silverware for you. And of course, my knight won! So that was a plus. Overall, this is a great event for all ages. Me and my party had tons of fun, and we're all grown. So, I can only imagine how much fun this is for children! Plus we left with so much stuff. I took home a crown, a glass (I got to keep from ordering from the bar), I took home my lanyard, my little flag I was waving around, and I took home our pictures that was included in the package. It was hard to hear the person giving directions from above, so everyone kind of just started moving at once. The seating is also very tight, and if you're sitting next to someone who needs a little extra space, it can be challenging. The seats sit very low to the ground, so anyone who is pregnant or has bad knees may struggle getting in and out comfortably. The food was okay, but it came out so slowly that it was hard to eat everything while it was still hot. The chicken, corn, and potato were the best parts of the meal. The soup tasted like it came from a can, and the garlic bread reminded me of the frozen kind you buy at the grocery store and heat up at home. Overall, we had an absolute blast and would definitely go back. The show, the horses, and being so close to the action made it a memorable experience. Just go in knowing it's more about the entertainment than the food, and you'll have a great time. I didn't post too many photos because I didn't want to spoil it for anyone.

I enjoyed their version of Tteokbooki; it was spicy but still had a hint of sweetness. All the meat we ordered was deliciously seasoned and fresh. Overall, my favorite meats were the spare ribs and beef bulgogi. Can't wait to return!

The taste is strong enough to know it's there, it's not overwhelming. -chili wonton with pork 3 - these were okay, not quite as delicious as Din Tai Fung. -shrimp noodle (spicy) 5 - they added a lot of shrimp. Noodle dishes are good here because at least the quantity is big. -jjajang noodle 3 - this was okay, it could use a lot more black bean sauce. Mandarin House in Downers Grove gave us a generous amount of black bean sauce. -surf and turf dumplings 5 - these were good. They have shrimp and pork in them.

You will love this place - a Mexican food favorite. Fish and shrimp tacos are a must-have but you really can't go wrong with anything from their menu. All is delicious and authentic in flavor, thank you for a great dining experience. read more

Really good food. Fish tacos are fantastic. The reason I give only 3 stars is because there's no comfortable seating there. They only have those fast food booths. If you're a bigger person, plan on taking your food to go. read more

the caldo here is amazing 10/10 came back the next day for more! And the customer service here is amazing they are on top of it and ready also the tortas and tacos are great feels like homecook food with great flavors ! read more
