I called a few AC shops and the wait time was 2-3days for an appointment, which given the blazing heat, made total sense to me. I called Harry around 3pm and he mentioned that he was in a Pasadena area and would be happy to swing by my house in South Pasadena later that evening, after his all day AC job in the blazing heat! The fact that he was able to do a house visit at 7pm blew me away! He immediately recognized that my AC unit was overheating as I had a bunch of trellis around it ... he was 100% honest, just straight up told me that your unit is overheating and get all that junk off of it and it'll work fine!!! I had an outstanding experience with Mike in Pasadena. My American Standard AC system suddenly stopped working, and after calling him, he responded quickly and was able to come out the same day. From the moment he arrived, it was obvious that he knew exactly what he was doing. He took the time to thoroughly diagnose the problem, explained what had failed in terms I could understand, and walked me through my options without ever making me feel pressured. What impressed me most was Mike's honesty. Instead of trying to sell me expensive repairs or recommend replacing parts that were still in good condition, he focused only on what was actually needed to get my system back up and running. That kind of integrity is hard to find these days and gave me a lot of confidence that I was dealing with someone who genuinely cares about his customers. I don't usually write reviews, but I really wanted to share my experience with Boost Services. We had a bad smell coming from our vents for months, and after having numerous different companies come by, no one could figure it out. They would just tell me its an old house smell. Even the company we paid hundreds of dollars to "deep clean" our vents (with all their fancy equipment) still missed the problem and we ended up just wasting money. When David from Boost Services came by, he immediately identified the actual source of the smell right away, something every other company missed!! He showed me clear photos of our HVAC system in our attic so I knew exactly what needed to be cleaned and replaced. His communication and transparency throughout the whole process made everything so much easier, and they were quick and efficient from start to finish. The smell is completely gone now, and we can finally use our heater and AC again after avoiding it for so long. I initially contacted Boost Services when I first bought my house in October 2024 to quote me placing my 5 ton AC unit on the correct pedestal. From the beginning, David was very informative of what to expect and even came to look at the unit himself without knowing if he would get the job or not. Thank you David for your amazing service. On a Friday afternoon, my AC suddenly gave out during this crazy heatwave we have. My house reached nearly 100° F. I called him and he promised to stop by at the end of the day as to not leave me without AC for the weekend which quickly calmed my nerves. Please look at my profile for proof…read more I had a really regrettable experience with Air Elite Heating and Cooling--would strong suggest not using this business for any kind of product install. I paid $11,000 for a job that really is substandard. 1. Danny came to do my quote and was very nice, but when actual installation came he was not onsite. A very young and inexperienced guy installed the units basically in the middle of the wall. I was not consulted asked before the guy tore huge fist size holes in my wall that are in no way standard placement for mini splits. The guy moved the unit, I had to pay for the walls to be repaired and repainted! 2. The condenser was placed on the ground in the driveway. Again--I was never consulted about where it was to be installed. It should have been installed on the side of the house--it limits the function of my driveway forever. I cannot get my recycling/trash out if I am parked in my own driveway. 3. The drains that were placed on the outer wall of my house were installed so poorly that they constantly fall off. They were not adhered at all. When I put them back up, they are fitted so shoddily that they cannot be secured. Every time I pick them up and try to reassemble them--I can see how jankily they were put together. One of them is now cracked and water is spewing all over my wall. For nearly $11K spent, I feel really taken advantage of and bad about the integrity of their work. I contacted them in advance of this review with all of these points--they never responded.
