I visited this place for the first time, and I was pleasantly impressed. From the moment you walk in, the décor transports you straight to Mexico, with a warm and authentic atmosphere. As you enter, you'll find the bar on your left, offering a wide variety of beers and mixed drinks (although I didn't get to try them, they looked great). The customer service was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff was very kind and attentive, and they seated us super quickly. I noticed they also have live music on certain days, which is a big plus. We went to Manny's Mexican Restaurant after 9pm last night, and it was definitely a vibe! The music, the DJ, and the baseball games playing on the big screen TVs made for such a fun atmosphere. Our host Luis was beyond amazing!! super friendly, helpful, and provided great service the whole night. He made us feel really welcome! We came with our 4 kids, and it's definitely a family-friendly spot. We ordered the parrillada (which was delicious!), and the little ones got kids' plates that were perfect for them. The older kids had enchiladas and said they were amazing. My husband ordered the Tailgate Plate and couldn't stop talking about how much he loved the ceviche tostadas and everything else that came with it. Everything tasted and looked amazing. Yesterday, I purchased a container of chili con queso to at the bar. The female bartender left much to be desired in terms of customer service...at any rate, the queso wasn't packaged well and half of it spilled by the time I got home 10 minutes later. I immediately called to let them know, spoke with the owner, Manny. He was very apologetic and offered to replace the queso at anytime. Today, I go to pickup the replacement order of queso (chips), I only receive the queso and no chips...the very small bag of chips were going to be an additional charge of $5.00....the original order was only $6.44...I declined to pay the $5.00 for 1.5 cups of chips. Well, for starters, don't come on a rainy day . I had a party and reserved a spot in the back. It started raining, and I'm not sure if there was a hole in the wall but the whole floor got soaked with water. We had to move our whole party to sit in the front because of this. My mom wanted to grab Sunday lunch and she was in the mood for seafood but not American seafood, she wanted Mexican seafood aka mariscos. She lives in the Atascocita area and there aren't any latin seafood places nearby. The closest we came to finding a mariscos restaurant was Mannys. The beans and rice weren't slopped on the plate spilling onto the enchiladas yet, there were an adequate amount of both. I can also say the refried beans didn't seem like they had a lick of seasoning nor the rice. The seafood enchiladas were quite tasty though. I think I got a shrimp on my fork with each bite. The 'bisque sauce' on-top the enchiladas could've been more present in the dish, it was more cheesy rather than a bisque sauce. Overall, I enjoyed everything. 03/31/18, I ordered beef enchiladas back when they first opened and El Patio frozen enchiladas were better. Today ordered an enchilada dinner for my mom and she says it's okay. My order was two chicken fajita tacos and wow how pathetic. No cheese nothing, just minced up chicken that looked like it was cooked on a skillet and tossed on a tortilla. I could have made it at home but no thought I would give them a chance. Sorry Manny but Carlos on Mail Route has folks beat. Never will visit your restaurant. I have eaten here before in the past. Well I can't say I have eaten here only because when we all order. Everyone at the table got there food but me. I asked the server more the six times and they said it would be out in a few. My dish was never brought out and everyone at the table was done. Poor management and poor customer service. The color choice was nice and the decorations gave it a real Hacienda feel. They start you off with some chips and salsa, which were really good. The salsa had a good amount of heat and the chips were nice and crispy. I ordered chicken flautas which came with rice and refried beans. The rice was a little bland for my taste, but the beans were excellent. The flautas itself was cover in a mountain of shredded lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. This restaurant and Casa De Bravos have some of the best Quesadillas I have ever eaten. I do have to say that the chicken Quesadillas at Manny's are slightly better. They're just the right amount of greasy and cheesy!
