I've been here once before with Marcos where I requested the same haircut. The experiences were polar opposites. The start of the consultation was rough. Sal was tentative, impatient, and combative with me. I felt he wanted to place blame on me for not understanding the haircut I wanted. But when I had the haircut with Marcos, it never escalated like how it did today. I put the rough start behind me to just focus on the haircut. I thought the experience ended better than it started. However, the hair doesn't lie. One side is longer than the other (see photo). I don't believe Sal is a bad barber by any means. It's completely possible it was an off day. I simply think he was't able to recover from the tense beginning and so, the haircut ended up being rushed and uneven.

He then acted very unpleasant after I asked if he could use his cellphone to lookup a photo of a hairstyle I wanted. Then after that, he didn't even come close to giving me the haircut I showed him. It was obvious, he intentionally provided very poor attention to my request which was fairly simple. The female at the register with blonde hair had a very poor unpleasant bedside manor also. It was a very unwelcoming and less than satisfactory experience all around.

I find that many hair salons don't allow you to book online so appreciated that I could book online for Rosa. It's a cute little house that i probably drive by everyday yet have somehow never noticed. Inside they have a bunch of talented barbers, snacks, coffee and a nice sized waiting room. Rosa was ready for us when we got there and my son explained that he really waited to grow out his curly hair. She knew exactly what "tiktok" trend he was going for and got to work. I'm usually not a fan of the grown out look, but she did it in a way that even I liked it. She also recommended products for him and taught him how to style it now that it's growing out. My son left satisfied with the experience and his new haircut. I've caught him admiring himself in his phone camera a few times since we left. We will see Rosa in a month!

Comfy seats, free adult beverages while you sit, and hands down - And I mean it - the best haircut I've ever had. I don't want to tell you who gives the best haircut because she's always so busy and it's hard to get an appointment - but she deserves all the praise. So if you got get Masha. They're all fantastic but Masha can do a fade and a straight razor shave like she grew up in downtown Chicago. She makes me so damn handsome. Unfortunately, even though I arrived on-time (early actually), I had to wait about 15 minutes past my reservation time. I was also a little disappointed that the floors were not cleaned between appointments. It felt a bit weird to walk through a lot of hair to get to my seat. I had my hair cut by Maria who said she has been there for 18 years. I feel like she did a pretty good job. I liked the way it looked afterwards and she was easy to talk to while she cut my hair. I found out at afterwards that they only take cash, check, and Venmo. I usually pay everything by credit card. Thankfully, I had enough cash to pay for the visit. Overall, I tend to think I will return the next time I need a cut.
