I was in the area having my mechanic install a few parts on my Jeep while also doing some routine maintenance, seeing the work was going to take a few hours I wanted to treat them to lunch and everyone agreed Manny's was probably the best choice since they deliver - called right after 11:00 AM and ordered a few subs (grinders) and a large pepperoni pizza the food arrived within an hour fresh and hot by an extremely friendly delivery driver. After one bite I knew we had made the right choice, the pizza crust is amazing and was topped with quailty ingredients - the grinders were delicious as well with a very good crusty bread and plenty of meat and all of them arrived exactly as ordered. Absolutely no complaints from anyone in the shop and no leftovers. The staff here was great and repeated the order before hanging up and most importantly delivered it on time at a great price. So much for trying something new. While our waitress was quite kind and helpful, the quality of the food and management oversight was lacking. Spinach pizza good but a bit overboard on the spinach and tasted like frozen thawed vs. fresh. The biggest disappointment was for my husband who loves veal parmesean...so much so we went for the dinner vs. lunch portion. The lunch version came out with a tiny chunk of veal...kind waitress took it back after digging through the dish looking for veal and indicated they'd correct with a dinner portion. What came back was the same dish with more "pieces" of veal and were so tough, my husband couldn't chew it nor tolerate it. Upon sharing that, he was advised he should tell them how to cook it in the future and separate it from the pasta. No attempt to make the customer happy. Salad was a combo of shredded lettuce from a bag and tomatoes and soup was like a bland can of campbell's and cold. We will not return...we'll stick to the Italian cooking beachside which is always wonderful. read more

I went in with my grandmother to enjoy a meal, the waiter was really nice, and at first I thought the food would be great, I ordered a spinach bread and my cousin got a plain calzone. The second I ate my spinach bread I felt so sick, I was nauseous and I felt really dizzy and just weird. My cousin started feeling sick to. My grandmother felt fine but she didn't like how her meatball sub barely had anything on it and the bread was really hard making it hard to bite and enjoy. We didn't say anything to the people because we didn't wanna be rude, but later we felt even more sick, my cousin had thrown up and I was on the verge of puking, we then called the place just to let them know that we think something was bad (maybe the cheese). We weren't complaining just letting them know so that they could check their food to prevent others from being sick, but then the lady on the phone told us that it must of been because of the high iron in spinach of maybe we are allergic to cheese. Mind you I have always eaten spinach and cheese and I never felt like this. The lady basically tried telling us that our Bodies couldn't tolerate it, not because they made a mistake and gave us food poisoning. Not only this but for an Italian owned restaurant, they have the worst pizza I have ever had! We stumbled upon Manny's Pizza House on Nova Rd. in Ormond Beach today quite by accident, and boy are we glad we did. The food and service are above par for this area, and the quality of the products they use is excellent. Mostly everything on the menu is made from scratch (including the desserts), the restaurant is clean, the owners are friendly and welcoming, prices are reasonable, and there's plenty of parking. Half meatball half sausage The large was the size of a medium at home but when in Florida ...,, We also got a meatball grinder . The flavor was good but the meatball filling was rather scarce . Great Italian food. This is a staple location for the Ormond area. They make a great chicken Parmesan and a great pizza. I ordered one order of chicken pastrami and a Stromboli with meat to split with my wife at home. Delicious sauce and great food made for a total of four meals as it was split up for that night and the next day. I've been going here to eat since I was a little girl. I'd always want to ride with my dad to go pick up the food so I could see and talk to Manny. He always makes everyone feel like family when they come in. I've been eating the same thing here for 15+ years and that's the chicken parmesan with spaghetti. It's always delicious! The place is small, everyone is friendly, and they have arcade games for the kids to play, which is always fun. They also have a few TV's in case there's a game on you can't miss. read more

Had a hurried day running around and realized about 2:30 that I hadn't eaten lunch. I was hungry, but usual lunch choices had little appeal. Then I knew: I wanted some good Lasagna! I also knew that Manny's was nearby on my route. (Because they have a good following, I knew the food would be fresh too after lunch rush.) Mary, my server was excellent. (She also bakes the tasty cookies at the counter to take away.) Yum! My lunch portion lasagna came with lots of (2/3 sauce + cheese); 1/3 lasagna. An entire split hoagie roll as garlic/parsley bread that was really nice to soak up all the cheesy sauce goodness around the lasagna. It was very tasty! My bill was +/- $10 for the lasagna lunch w/ H2O + cookie (excluding tip). Fall 2018. Other stars not given for the tiny lunch pasta portion, no side salad (or reduced add-on) and that my booth seat was broken. Sweet Tea was fountain only. I just ordered a large chicken parmigiana pizza and was so so disappointed. When I went in to pay I was shocked by how small the box was and asked if it was a large. Both the older gentleman in the back and the lady with an accent at the front desk gave me a look of disgust and the gentleman grunted that it was 10 slices. I just paid and left. I get home and these are tiny pieces, absolutely ridiculous for the price. On top of it the chicken was certainly not parmigiana chicken, tasted more like frozen nuggets. An average pizza joint. Wasnt bad, but wasnt the beat pizza ever. We had a cheese and a white pizza both hand tossed. Cheese was cooked perfectly just the way we like it, but we were not huge fans of the hand tossed flavor, it was crispy, but the flavor seemed off. I must say their cookies they get in from new york were amazing, happy we brought a box home! We will be back, next time going to try the pan. read more

This place was recommended by friends and they did not steer us wrong. They make an excellent thin crust (hand tossed) pizza. We had anchovies and these were easily the best anchovies outside of New York or Italy. Friendly staff and good value. I've never had a bad experience here in the over 20 years I can remember eating here. My personal favorite are the garlic knots and the chicken, spinach & feta pizza. This is a truly local place. The menu is quite extensive with a variety of pizza, sandwiches and traditional Italian dishes. We had garlic knots as an appetizer--delicious. The "small" portion is 6 knots. Our main course was a large, thin crust "special" pizza. Fantastic. You can tell this isn't "mass production " pizza. It's crafted by an pizza artisan to your specific order. The toppings were very fresh. The green peppers and onions still had a little "crunch" to them--obviously not over cooked. We used to frequent this pizza place on a pretty regular basis as it was close to our home. Over time their Pizza became average at best and what you got for your money became overpriced. Their large pizza is more like a medium. Put two toppings on it and you are getting close to $18.00. Add a salad, $10 more bucks, ad a drink and you are now pushing an overpriced meal. We decided to try their delivery service during the COVID epidemic and were told the delivery time would be 30-40 minutes. NOT. It came over an hour and it was cold. I tried it again this weekend and the same thing. Cold pizza for about $26.00 including tip. This is no bargain in my book. They claim it's an NYC type pizza, but we are not in NYC so prices shouldn't be the same. We won't be spending any of our money there any longer. This was the driest pizza crust I ever had. We were really hungry and was so disappointed. Then we sat at a booth and the owner was behind having discussions with his employees that weren't very positive either. A local favorite, my family eats here at least two to three times a month. We love the awesome pizza - which now comes in both traditional and thin crust. The salads are fresh with homemade dressing. The Greek salad is the family favorite with tons of meat and cheese and -- for some reason -- always delicious tomatoes. The subs are also excellent - both cold and hot. Really you can't go wrong with anything on Manny's menu. Also, the staff are very warm and inviting - absolutely top-notch service.
