I can best describe L'Angolo as outstanding food, stellar service in the most quaint and comfy restaurant in Ormond Beach! For starters I had the Insalat a Di Peri and we had bread with olive oil and pepper. For our main entrees hubby had a snapper that was melt in your mouth delicious accompanied by roasted vegetables and pasta. I had the delicious chicken Marsala with roasted vegetables and pasta as well. To close out our fantastic dinner we shared a warm creme brûlée made perfectly. Our server Andrea was very pleasant and attentive offering the list of specials and recommendations. It was a pleasure to thank the chef and owner Sal in person who greeted us at the end of our meal. If you want a 5 star dining experience visit L'Angolo! Tips: make a reservation in advance. There are 12 tables but you won't regret it! Don't pay attention the $$$$ rating. We had a great dinner for about $100 including a glass of wine and large bottle of pelligrino.

It was our first time at L'Angolo and we loved it! Their attention to the details and the presentation of the plates were impressive. Our dishes were delicious as well as the desserts. Anna and Sal, the owners, are very warm and friendly. My husband and I will be returning for sure! We highly recommend this place!

This is a lovely restaurant and clearly beloved by locals! Spectacular food and very friendly service. Will definitely be coming back! We had the stuffed mushrooms, lobster ravioli, and linguini vongole, and all were absolutely delicious! My only suggestion for this restaurant would be to serve bread that is a little more bread than crust. All of the sauces that came with our food were so YUMMY and we wanted to dunk the bread, but it's too small and impermeable. Truly, just a small detail but it would really make a huge difference.

This is small Italian restaurant but it's so so good. A Local favorite among those who know the value of what you're getting. It's always full and highly recommended to get a reservation almost nearly impossible to get a table as a walk in. Food is flavorful and the owner/chef comes out at times to mingle with guests. Worth it.

Food is excellent. Service was lacking due to a full house and short staffed. Lovely atmosphere.

While the patio is nicely designed and has comfy wicker chairs, the parking lot traffic does take a bit from the ambiance. But hey, how often can I dine outside in Florida without dying of heat or mosquitos or drowning in a downpour. They had a ton of delicious specials going but I like to try places for the first time based on my favorite dishes. However, I can't pass up octopus carpaccio and while it was delicious, the slices stuck to the plate which the waiter attributed to being outside where it warmed up. Next time, calamari for sure! I got the fettuccine bolognese as I'm still chasing a sauce that isn't just ground beef added to marinara. I'm happy to say it's the best bolognaise I've found in Central Florida! Their pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was rich and not overly tomatoey or sweet like most places. It also was fully tossed so it clung to the noodles. Dad was in a pizza mood but was definitely temped by the veal chop special. He ended up with the all in pie and I knew it was a winner when he ate the crust. He's very picky about crust and this hit the mark on texture and taste! So yes, the love this group has for Don Giovanni is real and if you haven't tried it I definitely recommend it!

The server was nice tried his best to make the experience better BUT CHARLIE the so called manager.... wow he needs to either get some new training or be fired. He completely just stared at me the entire time i felt so out of place being the only black customer there and he made me feel like i didn't belong there. Those cold eyes were staring at me the entire time. My partner got his soup ( it was the wrong soup mind you) either way his soup was delicious but me I had to wait 15 minutes from mine to come out. I ordered the mushroom soup it was so sour it tasted old and straight out of a can. So that's the first thing that I had to send back....... the next thing was our entrees...... my partner's penne vodka was so salty and my chicken alfredo was so watery and lacks flavor. Charlie the manager went to every other table to ask how their dining experience was going and skipped over our table not once but twice and continue to give me dirty looks the entire time we were there. You would think as a manager you see that your customers are sending food back you would think that you would come over and say anything at all to try to rectify the situation but nope. As we left the restaurant Charlie gave me one last dirty look and did not apologize for our evening said absolutely nothing to us as we walk past him to leave this terrible restaurant. The server did mention that the chef was on maternity leave and I thought okay maybe we can come back and try the food again when the chef is actually there to cook the meals to change the ratings but after Charlie the so-called manager once again said absolutely nothing to us I will never step foot in there again. I do not recommend this place to my fellow black community.

My hubby had been working outside all day and asked if we could wait for an inside table. The host personally went and cleared/reset a table for us. My husband tried to tip him and he would not accept it. Our server was Cassandra and she was amazing. After dinner and dessert we asked for some recommendations amd she had some great ones. We had the lamb, a filet and a ny strip. All were cooked perfectly. The standout for me was the fried chicken. You can add a breast or thigh to any meal. I had a thigh and it was one of the best I have had. Crispy, tasty and the chicken itself was tender and juicy. When I come back I am definitely ordering the chicken! If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try. There is free valet parking, which is helpful since there is not a lot of parking. The valet were hustling! Did I mention the heat? Don't forget to tip them. The faster they move the higher the tip in my opinion.
