Went to pick up the order and they said we hadn't paid even after showing them a screen print of the pending charge. Had to pay again on another card to get our order. Both charges went through. I base my review mainly upon the food. There were 4 diners in my group and we each ordered four different entrees. The standard chips and salsa should have been a sign to close out our tab. They kinda hook you in with that as we had just ordered our margaritas which were the only saving grace of this establishment and takes at least 15 minutes to serve - long enough to get you thinking about ordering an appetizer and an entree..... Chips are horribly thick, stale and tasteless; burritos, enchiladas, tacos, fajitas are all made with the same wet paper tasting shells utilized in aforementioned chips. read more

Manny's is my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant in Texas. I love their fajitas their customer service from every location I have visited with my family. We usually go for some drinks after a tough day at work or for family events and they never disappoint. There is sometimes a very small wait but I do not mind that because their food and margaritas are the BEST!! read more

We came here for Father's Day and it was a disaster! Our server was great, but the manager is definitely in over his head. If we had eaten inside I think it would have been better. But, we sat outside and they only had two servers for all of the tables outside. I brought it to the managers attention that he had his two servers in the weeds! We waited 10 minutes to be greeted and 20 minutes for queso. An hour and ten minutes later we finally got our food to go, but waited 15 minutes for that. Luckily, we had a GREAT server in Mario. He was hustling and doing his best. I would have been so mad if I was him. The management and bar tender were killing him. We watched one table get up and leave without eating because they couldn't get service. We commiserated on our experience. We got home and the food was mostly fat with very little meat. Seriously bad food. The queso has a cheez-whiz base, unlike most local Tex-Mex around. It really had very little flavor. The enchiladas tasted alright....until I realized they were swimming in grease, and I decided to tap out early. The rice didn't have much flavor other than SALT, SALT, SALT. Just good mex/Tex mex. my wife and I go every weekend to brunch. In my opinion they have one of the best Bloody Mary's. I go with salt instead as they use tajin as their "lipper" on the glass. Queso blanco is great and I enjoy the little kick with their salsa. Typically I order the Steven's special but substitute for the steak fajita and switch to flour tortilla with extra sunset sauce. And always get the charro beans and drop a spoon full of rice in there. So good... tacos el carbon is always my second option. Dip them right into the queso. So gooey and good. Wife always goes to cheese enchiladas or steak fajita quesadilla's. Anyway, we enjoy the staff, food, drinks, and always run into old friends. I moved to California in 1984 and aside from the friends and family I miss, it is the food I miss. In this case, it is good ol' Tex-Mex. While good Mexican food can be found in California, so far Tex-Mex does not exist. So, each time I return to Texas, I go in search of those foods I can only find at home. My sister and I stumbled on this place on Yelp and based on reviews, it looked like pretty close to a sure thing. While the server forgot to offer chips and salsa before the meal arrived, I'm not even going to complain because this very well may have been the best Tex-Mex I've had in 35 years since coming back every few years! I had a lunch special with a beef enchilada, cheese enchilada, and a beef taco. I may have actually moaned out loud on the first bite and every bite was another bite of deliciousness. Before I even finished I declared we would come back again in the next couple days. The chips and salsa were also outstanding. Our schedule didn't work out for a return visit and I am back in California now...longing for more of Manny's! This place is doing food the right way! read more

Manny's uptown in heath is the best Tex-Mex restaurant I've been to. They are so polite once you go in. Everything is super clean. You get your food pretty fast. The guacamole (jugo de limon), brisket con queso and the uptown queso are one of the best appetizers they have. I've tried many foods from the menu and some of the best plates are "SHELLY'S BLACKENED SALMON SALAD" if you're looking for something light. If you're a very indecisive person and you want all kinds of meat on your plate go for the "PATRON FAJITAS". If you love pork, "GUISO DE PUERCO" is your plate. Honestly everything is SOO delicious and our server, Charlie, is the most kindest hardworking server out last time I went to the bar he wouldn't give me the drink I wanted, it was a first but I didn't mind it, I got to try something different which was really good. Stopped by on Saturday afternoon for a drink and to enjoy the nice sunshine. There was no indoor seating so we opted for outdoor. Unfortunately it was chillier than we expected but they had the heaters on. I wasn't very impressed with their patio, it seemed messy. There were high chairs and extra dining chairs stacked along the wall and the lounge furniture did not look very comfortable. I ordered the jalapeño margarita and my husband ordered a Dos Equis. They gave us complimentary chips and salsa which were both good. The margarita was average, I was hoping for better and they gave my husband Corona instead of Dos Equis. We ordered a half order if sopapillas for a sweet bite and they were nice and warm with a good amount of cinammon sugar on top. I think next time we'll give the food a try! read more

Had heard a couple of great things about Manny's so we decided to give it a try. I am very picky about to mexican food I eat so I was not expecting much, but everything EXCEEDED my expectations! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and immediately sat down even though it was super busy. Our server immediately came to us to bring our drinks, we had not even been there 3 min. Every employee there helped out everybody no matter if it was their table or not and I loved it! My cup was never empty, someone would always come around to fill it. We weren't to sure what to order so we just got a few appetizers, we did order queso flameado and our waiter even asked to serve it for us! The food was amazing!!! I have absolutely no complaints, this has been hands down one of the best restaurants I have been to in a while, customer service and food was top tier. My new favorite!!! I was going to do this the other day, but we ordered Manny's for pickup the other night around 8:15ish. The guy repeated our ordered correctly. We were excited to eat Manny's due to the face we have heard so many good things. It was late and our daughter that is about to bd two in July hasn't had dinner yet. So we knew she was hungry. We get home our order had pico in it which my wife can't eat tomatoes due to being allergic. She called and basically asked for a credit to get tomorrow since it was late for our daughter. The guy didn't believe my wife that they messed it up! He wanted us to email them pictures! Unreal! Basically calling her a liar. He said we can bring it back tonight and get our money back. If we came the next day we would just get a gift card. Unbelievable. We tried to tell them we cannot get back out because our daughter needed to eat and get to bed. We brought the food back and got our money back, but they were super rude and did not care about us getting our almost two year old back out that late. It was unbelievable how they basically did not believe they messed up an order and to email pictures! Who does it that! Just admit it!
