Snag your appointment early! I luckily managed to get a last minute booking with almost everything I wanted. Easy parking and close to the beach. I walked into the most serene and relaxing place I have ever been in. I did a custom massage with some add-ons with Tina and Ngok but what I really wanted was the Raindrop, which I will have to get next time! I don't think I have felt this relaxed in a very long time and Tina took out SEVERAL knots in my shoulders and Upper back today. I know I have a lot of tension in my feet because I couldn't feel the pressure at first but then I could finally feel it at the end when Tina removed the knots there.Then she relieved a lot of tension in my neck and head, I have a feeling I will be sleeping like a baby tonight. I have never had reiki before but Ngok had some sound therapy and smudging involved so I felt very safe and centered during the session. Will likely opt for a longer session next time. I found this place and opted for a 90min customized massage. Nok was amazing! She checked with me on the preferred focus areas and the pressure level and it was perfect. I've been really pushing my body with strength and circuit training, so I knew my major muscles would be a little tender. I need that medium to hard pressure to relieve the tension. Towards the end, she rounded out the full body massage with a scalp and head massage - first time a massage session provided such a focused head massage. I guess I expected more from the massage given the 5 star rating. I have to say that I've never felt more uncomfortable getting massaged. First, the massage bed felt elevated and the face cradle was a deflated inflatable, which is typically a cushion. Because there was no cushion whatsoever and again it felt deflated, I had to adjust the height of it so many times but it was not by any means comfortable. It compressed my neck to the point that my head was touching my shoulders! Then there's the fact that the therapist spent the remaining 30 minutes of the time focusing on my head. Literally just rubbing my head endlessly and because of how light and inconsistent her pressure was, I can only assume that she was falling asleep? It was awful. I felt worse than when I first came in and now I need to go to a chiropractor to get a good adjustment. What makes it worse is that my friend who came in the same time as me had a completely different experience. His massage bed was heated and memory foam. I guess I got the worst room? read more

UPDATE: The owner/manager of this massage place contacted me personally to make things right. She offered me a free service and I took the opportunity. I was welcomed kindly at the door & my masseuse (I believe her name was Amy?) asked me many questions about how I was feeling, where my problem areas were, if there were any areas I didn't want to be massaged. Very professional and incredibly kind and considerate. She checked on me throughout the service and made sure I was okay with the pressure (it was always lovely). Halfway through, my masseuse asked if I had ever tried cupping, because my back is particularly tense. I have never tried it before but was up for the challenge. It was strange at first, but I'm so glad I took her advice; it was incredibly relaxing and my body is feeling better than it has in a long time. I have had back issues my whole life and I feel like a million bucks right now. The entire experience was really great. I'm happy to have a new place to go to, and a new treatment to try!
