I called this shop asked him some questions what was going on and he was able to help me write over the phone because there's some sort of code that goes on with how many flashing lights there are. Felt great getting my mother out in a wheelchair I rented here. She loved the manual wheelchair. Was interested in a motorized chair for next time so I snapped a picture of a device. The owner was offended at me taking a picture. I offered to delete the images and she yes. After two apologies she was still offended and offered me out with a "people are people, have a nice day". I went there to find a neck support for my 16 yo son since he has a bad case of tourette syndrome. Rena was the rep and she was very helpful and knowledgeable. She helped me find ways to alleviate the pain my son was having. I got the tens machine but the upgrade one that targets deeper muscle tissue and gave me tips how to use it. I purchased an expensive Nova Rollator. Nice looking piece of equipment. Mind you this was site unseen due to a minor health setback. Never did Rena mention to me that I would not be able to return it if for any reason it wasn't suitable for my needs. Great product, quality and pricey, close to $500. Guess what???!!! I can't get into bedrooms and bathrooms. For that matter , I can't maneuver the damn thing around most of my furniture. I've had it less than 5 days. And she refused without an apology but with a superior attitude, " we don't do refunds on this equipment." I'm never going back again. EVER!!! I purchased porta potty toilet liners on Monday, found out I didn't need them and brought them back unopened on Wednesday with the receipt of course and they would not take them back. Called to inquire about DME availability. Spoke with the biller, she stated that although they are contracted with my moms insurance (Blue Shield PPO) that the reimbursement they get from the insurance isn't financially viable for them and that aside from billing the insurance I would have to pay out of pocket for DME. That sounds like fraud to me. Or at least "double dipping" as they call it. She wasn't very pleasant and when I expressed frustration about the situation she told me to call Apria Healthcare and complain to them about my frustrations. If the price isn't right for them even though covered by insurance they will deny providing services. This isn't ethical. read more

I called Rena to pick up my rented scooter in February early March. She informed she could not because her husband was ill. Although I'm very busy and should have been proactive, this place kept charging my flexible spending account until it was depleted. When they could no longer charge me, they called to get payment. I was surprised because I was expecting them to contact me for pick-up, when she could. Even though they know I called to request a pick-up , they kept charging me. I completely understand all of the terminology and did so from the beginning. I did not need to be told constantly how 'difficult' it is to talk to insurance companies, or how 'complicated' it is to get the codes correct. There are two codes. Give them the codes. Your office recommended one rollator. I was considering another, but looked at the one she recommended. She only got approval for the one I was considering and never asked my insurance about the other rollator (the one she recommended in the first place - not an upgrade). I offered to pay the difference and this offer was refused. I asked for a manager and this did not move anything along. There was a lot of wasted time and complaining from the side of your company and frankly I don't understand WHY I should be on the receiving end of it. I ended up ordering the same rollator elsewhere, and it was cheaper and covered. I share this information with you so that maybe in the future you can train your staff to help other customers and to provide better, quicker service with less drama. If it is difficult for your staff to interact with insurance companies they should keep that to themselves, or share that amongst themselves, but really, don't complain to customers about doing their job.
