This place had a varied menu and good service in a trying-too-hard Instagram photo set of a restaurant. Interior design with cute neon and plastic hedge walls aside, our breakfast was very good and I'd come back to try other dishes from the menu in the future.

Service was wonderful and friendly. Food was excellent and flavorful. I almost always get chilaquiles when I come to a breakfast spot for the first time, and these were just great! I had the option between the milder sauce or the spicier green one--I love green salsa and this had plenty of heat. The chips were thick enough to hold the weight of everything on top but still had a little crunch to them. I also really enjoyed the drinks (I believe I had the Lavish Oat Latte but I can't be sure anymore). My latte was smooth, creamy, and comforting. It was very busy and lively on a Saturday morning, but we were still checked up on without feeling rushed.

This is my second time at Maple & Hash and as always had a good experience. They have a nice menu selection . The place is spacious and they also have a cute outdoor patio . We visited on a Saturday and were promptly seated. We ordered the iced shaken espresso, avocado toast trio, breakfast quesadilla , and garden omelette . The portions are huge and the food was freshly prepared and tasted good. Definitely will be back again soon.

Breakfast potatoes - So well seasoned and crispy

Very basic brunch spot. Came here because the potatoes looked very good and well seasoned and crispy. Hard to find good breakfast potatoes like this. Which they were. Probably the best part of the meal. The breakfast burrito was a good size to split between two people but had practically no meat in it. It was all egg making it unimpressive. Service was great and the restaurant was clean and good atmosphere.

Churro waffle, Biscuits and Gravy, Corn Beef Hash, Chocolate Banana Crepes, blueberry refresher and my brown sugar latte. Amazing!

Loved this place! Took two friends from out of town but was nervous because I had never been here (just heard it was good). Restaurant is super cute inside. No wait on a Saturday at 10:30 for a table of 3. My normal spot is always packed on the weekends. This will be my new spot. This one also has cocktails, great service, the prices were better and everything was delicious! I had the churro waffles (the waffle itself could have been warmer). My coffee drink was also delicious. I tried my friend's biscuits & gravy. So good. Biscuit was light and fluffy. Gravy had good flavor. Can't wait to go back!

not really impressed with this location. i liked the service better in pingree grove and it just seems more lively up there. foodwise what i got was a bit dry but it was alright. just seemed overcooked a bit. but i would give it a shot if u are in that area. we drove about 20 minutes which was a stretch. kids meals for the price we thought should include the drinks. bacon didn't have much flavor. overall the food is kinda bland.

Stopped in on a whim while driving by. I had never been here before and I was intrigued by the outside. Weirdly, the outside doesn't exactly match the interior. I was thinking it was more of a witchy themed breakfast place based on the exterior decor, but inside was more a southern style farm feel. Besides the intriguing juxtaposition of the interior versus exterior, I really loved it. The menu was pretty typical of a breakfast diner with some southern style options. I went with a classic Denver skillet with sunny side up eggs, which I loved. My boyfriend didn't want to eat much so he ordered egg whites with spinach which he enjoyed as well. Our server was very kind and attentive and I think everyone there was the perfect amount of pleasant for a breakfast/lunch spot. I would definitely recommend Maple and Hash for anyone passing through. I also had coffee and a grapefruit juice to drink. I hope to return to try something else on the menu.

Travelled to West Dundee to try Maple & Hash for Sunday brunch. The inside has a very trendy magnolia/farmhouse aesthetic. There were multiple neon signs for a photo opportunity. The hostess stand is opposite of a coffee bar with select baked good offerings to purchase to go. The inside has PLENTY of seating to counteract ever needing to wait to dine. Once sat, our server Sam tended to us. He was welcoming, always smiling, on top of checking in, provided water refills, etc. We decided to order food only. I got the Bacon Cheddar Egg Sandwich which came in a brioche bun with arugula and siracha aioli. I'm not a fan of spice so I got the aioli on the side; the sandwich definitely needed a sauce on it. My partner got the Breakfast Sliders with sausage as the meat choice. These were simple but good. The real star on the dish were the diced potatoes; perfectly seasoned! Each dish was $14 and while each could be enhanced to provide more flavor, we did enjoy them.

Avocado toast. My wife said it was excellent. Great mix of fresh ingredients with 3 types of toast

Went for brunch with a group of 4. We were all very happy with our meals. I enjoyed my brisket skillet with brisket, hash browns, two eggs over easy and an English muffin. Good coffee, Nicely decorated, comfortable and friendly service. A tad more brisket and crispier hash browns would make it a five.

This breakfast place has a cozy feel once you walk in, and then greeted by friendly staff. By the hostess stand, you'll see an assortment of bakery goods. They are quite inviting! While it is not clear on the menu, they do offer gluten free toasts and pancakes, the only thing to be aware of is that it is not a gluten free kitchen so there could be cross-contamination as explained by our wait staff. In terms of food, we like everything we ordered. Some of the highlights: - Harsh brown was down perfectly, crispy and seasoned well. - The sauce came with burrito (not pictured) elevated the flavor experience. The only minor critique was that the gluten free toast could be toasted a bit longer. Other wise, we will come back for another brunch.

Food was great! Our server was Michaela, she was extremely rude, had an attitude, and was rolling her eyes at others tables.

    Gluten free friendly?

I did not see anything gluten free on the menu but I was not looking for anything to order gluten free. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help.

Chef Patrick slayed our brunch dishes on this beautiful Sunday morning. This was our first time…read morestopping for brunch. We started with mimosas (only way to start a Sunday morning breakfast). What we ordered: * Steak Hash- my husband said this is his new favorite breakfast meal. This is a man who loves breakfast over any other meal. Order the steak hash, you will not be disappointed. * Piquant sausage crostata- I absolutely loved this dish. It was bursting with flavor in each bite. Definitely had a kick of spice, which I love. I think we have found our new Sunday brunch spot! Thank you Chef Patrick and Kathleen for giving us wonderful food and a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy our early Sundays.

Let me start by writing that this place deserves five stars and should be five stars, and I wanted…read moreso badly to give it five stars. But sadly there was a private event that spread the kitchen very thin and it took away from the overall experience. Food: 5.0/5.0 - Everything we ate was awesome. We did the Wood-Fired Artichoke, the Two Pigs in a Basket Crostata, the Steak Hash, and the Arugula Salad. Everything was cooked and flavored nicely but I wish the steak hash had more steak. (See my photos) Service: 4.5/5.0 - The server was kind and Joe was walking around checking in regularly, making sure we were protected from the rain. I dinged half a point because the server didn't have the best explanations for why everything was out. More on that later. Ambiance: 4.0/5.0 - I think on a normal evening on a date, this place would be 5.0/5.0. The decor is rustic/modern and it felt like a vacation spot that you'd visit on the Florida coast. Loved the brassware and the attention to detail in the presentation of food. It was a Sunday afternoon when we were there, so the band across the street was disruptive to the feel outside the restaurant in the garden and patio. By 3:00pm the flies and gnats were becoming annoying. So good scores in general and worthy of 5 stars, but alas, the kitchen was not prepared for the afternoon private party along with the crowd from the night before... apparently. They were "unable to make" or were out of several dishes. From what I can recall, there were no: pizza pies, whitefish, and chimichurri. They also ran out of all soda except a few bottles of Coca Cola. And there was no beer on tap because the keg was broken, so they only had Guinness and Stella bottles. Because of this, it stung to pay the prices we did for our items. I'd say a fair price point with all said and done is probably $3-$4 less on any item here. Crostatas were great, but maybe for $13. I'd pay $16 for the steak hash. I'm sure if we came back on a weeknight, this place would be amazing. Great people, great food, and everything in stock. If we came back, I'd love to upgrade this review to 5 stars. The problem is, the price may keep us from giving this place a second try.
