I had the salmon and rice, which was very good. Others had fried shrimp which was just ok, and the side of slaw was barely a tablespoon - not worth dirtying the little dish! An absolute oasis and gem of Harriman! Being from Virginia Beach and making a stop to see relatives, this place is unlike anything else in the nearby area and compares to popular eateries in VA. The inside was well decorated and the sofa area was super comfortable. Service and staff were 10/10 and the food will definitely made a lasting impression. My family got the buffalo chicken pizza and we pretty much had to fight over the last bits because it was that good! The Maple Creek Bistro burger was also a total hit. Considering myself a fried smoked bologna sandwich oficionado, I decided to try "Uncle Kris' Bologna," an entree, to my surprise. Waitron asked me what would I like for a main menu item, and I responded, "that's it!" To her dismay I ate it and then asked for a to-go box. In town for an interview and was looking for a good pizza place. There are not many here. But this place actually has delicious pizza. The crust is excellent and the price is very good. We noticed this was new. My first impression was when I sat. The cushion on the chair was not even. It was on by a velcro. Unfortunately I had to mess with that a few minutes. I have to say as a new restaurant that seems like cutting corners. My husband did not like his chair either. Our table was small. The menu seemed small. There was some new things. But unfortunately I was really undecided because of the price and the lack of new or familiar foods. We were hungry so we did get an appetiser. The buffalo flat bread. It was good. I chose the vegetable pizza. It had lots of vegetables. When I saw it I thought it might've not been mine. But then I was able to find the toppings that I saw on the menu. I unfortunately was not impressed. BUT the dough. I am in love with. It's so good. I don't eat crust, but this I will. My husband was dissatisfied with his meal. It was the twin chicken and he had trio potatoes. He said the chicken portion was small and unfortunately the potatoes was under. I'm rating this from his and he also said he would rate this. My original rating was four and then from his experience I was going to do three, but I will do a two. It's a little pricy and the menu is a little different. read more

This is a hidden gem, tucked away in Kingston TN, about 30 minutes east of Knoxville just off I40. The food is absolutely divine! Combined with a beautiful and stylish interior, outside patio, cool bar, comfy seating, and wonderful service, you just can't ask for more. We started with great cocktails (old fashioned is outstanding), then the flaming cheese appetizer, which was so tasty with the fig spread over the melted cheese. We used all the assorted breads to dip up every last bit! Our entrees were the meatloaf, and fish and chips. They may sound simple, but they were both the best we've ever had. The meatloaf had such a savory sauce, and the fish was battered and fried perfectly. We even got the special secret recipe bologna to go so we could eat it after our hike the next day at the top of Mt LeConte. We will be back next time we're headed this way. We went here with our neighbors on a Thursday evening. We were pleasantly surprised with the selections for outdoor dining and the cute tables in the decorated alleyway. Inside the atmosphere and ambiance was very inviting. They have a nice bar area and dining tables and then to the side another dining area and then a room for larger parties. The hostess was very pleasant and our waitress was sweet. The place was busy but not packed. One person got the shrimp gumbo special and they said it was fantastic, just a bit of a kick. My husband got the 14 inch meat lovers pizza, minus salami (pictured) and the rest of us got the fish and chips. He really enjoyed the pizza and our fish and our fish and chips were generous portions and delicious. I also got the sangria and it was good. We'll definitely be back. I would give this place 0 stars if that were possible. It took forever to be sat, and finally when we were they gave a table of 4 of us two jugs of water and no glasses? Were we supposed to swig and share like pirates? No bread or anything to tide you over while they take forever to get the food out. When appetizers finally came out, our $13 cheese plate was a puddle of grease and not warmed through. For the quality of our food, the price is downright criminal. If you do have the misfortune to dine here, don't sit on the patio! My legs were so badly bitten from all the mosquitos, I'm still itching days later. Don't even risk it for "the atmosphere" as they didn't even turn on the flame pit or anything else that could have helped in any way until after we left and we were there quite late. The service is glacial when you sit out there as well, because the waiters have to go out the main doors and turn into the patio area rather than anything actually efficient. Our waitress was the only bright spot, but unfortunately for her there is no possible way to salvage this all around horrible experience. read more

Absolutely the best . Pretty packed the night we went but seating was available at the bar . The service at the bar couldn't have been better . The recommendation from our bartender/server was the special Filet with mash potatoes and asparagus . We both had that . It was the best steak we had had in a very long time . She took time to discuss authentic feedback about the menu items. We got the cast iron kesseri cheese appetizer and the grilled twin chicken & southwestern meatloaf for our main course - YUM!!! Thank you Hayley for the delicious recommendations. Colton, our bartender, was so cool! We didn't get to chat much, because he was too busy slinging yummy drinks (efficiently, might I add)! Absolutely OUTSTANDING!! The ambiance is inviting. Lovely outdoor seating. Modern chic style. Came here on a fam trip for dinner. We had the salmon and rice, meatloaf and mashed potatoes, twin grilled chicken with fries w homemade ranch, chicken buffalo calzone which was the special. Boy did we love EVERY dish. You can tell the chef takes pride in their craft and cooks each dish to perfection. Everything was well seasoned, tender and juicy! We had an amazing server, very attentive. We had been a little worried as we had eaten at this location when it was a different owner and had not liked them. We are pleased that we decided to give them a shot and had a great supper. My Wife's shrimp and grits was as good as any we have anywhere before. My flash fried shrimp and fries also were extremely tasty. Both of our meals had perfectly cooked shrimps and the tails came off leaving no shrimp meat behind. Service was quick and attentive without being overly hovering. If I had to give a complaint it would be on the smallish size of their mixed drinks but even though they were small their flavor was very good. read more

This is my only five star restaurant I've tried in the Kingston/Loudon area. In fact, I would put it in my top restaurants in the greater Knoxville area. The food is delicious. Everything that we tried tasted great with high quality ingredients. The service was wonderful. Hayley was our server and she was very attentive and did a great job. My Wife and I went to the Bistro for dinner and we informed our server that my wife has a food allergy to gluten and that she needed her food to be gluten-free. We saw on the menu that the braised short ribs was listed as "gluten-free". We ordered it and our server brought out a steak with breaded onion rings over the top of the steak. My wife was talking and unknowingly took a few bites of the short ribs with onion rings before she realized that the server gave her gluten. We called over our server, and asked to speak to the manager and she completely downplayed the whole situation saying that the server must have added them onto the steak in the kitchen. We told her that "if its gluten-free on the menu, then it should be gluten free on the table! DO NOT EAT AT THE BISTRO if anyone in your family has an food allergy, they don't take it seriously at all! read more

1st disappointment here. Server was good. Food coming from the kitchen was slow -45 min to an hour. Worst was a band started playing at 7 pm. This was a band I would expect to see at a honky tonk. Don't get me wrong, I love live music. This was so loud we could not talk at our table. It didn't help that the singer wasn't great. This was not the experience we had expected.
