Nice place service was good food was good. Kingston doesn't have a lot of places. We will be back

We arrived and were seated almost immediately. They spend some major bucks on decorating so the restaurant is a very pleasing place to be. Our server was prompt and courteous and within a few minutes we had our drinks and shortly after we ordered our salads arrived. But after about an hour our food had not come. I noticed a couple tables that came after us had already been served and one was finished and about to leave. Soon our server came out, apologized for the wait and said our food was on its way. 20 minutes later we still had nothing so we got up to leave. On the way out I told the hostess the problem and offered to pay for our salads. Her response was "I was just in the kitchen and saw your food is ready to come out." There is no way she knew what our order was and probably had not "just been in the kitchen". I don't like being gaslighted so I decided Maple Creek could pay for our salads and we left. Fortunately we found a very underrated chinese restaurant a few blocks down and were able to eat. read more

The atmosphere was great, service was slow, waitress took our money and left our dirty plates in front of us, fries were way too salty, chicken sandwich was dry and it's very pricey, not a place I would try a second time. read more

Just saw this place on Yelp and thought the food looked good. Decided to go try it and was not disappointed. Shrimp and Grits were great. My wife had the Fish N Chips and my daughter had the Meat Loaf. I tried them all. Will definitely be going back. read more

This place has excellent food and great atmosphere. We travel 45 minutes to eat here, and it is worth every minute and dollar we spend. We have not had anything bad...ever. It is our new go to place. read more

We have been a few times but last Friday we went and had the Filet special. It was the best steak and dinner we have had since moving to Tennessee. The flavor and tenderness of the steak was out of this world. The mashed potatoes and asparagus were amazing as well. Service was spot on and was such an enjoyable dinner. This was our first time trying out this restaurant. Our first impression was pretty good. Nice, quaint place with a modern decor. A few tv's in the bar area made it easy to watch a game while dining. It took 10 minutes to be greeted once we were sat. After taking our drink order it took 30 minutes to get a Old Fashioned. Our appetizer took longer. We ordered the flambe cheese, which in the photos on yelp looked great! When it came to the table it looked nothing like the photos. One little piece with some fig on it. It was good but again, not as pictured. Our main courses =50 minutes of wait. My son ordered the salmon. It was a thin, overcooked piece over some rice. There was no sauce, veggies or anything else to accompany the dried out fish. My wife and I both ordered the shrimp and grits. The plates came out completely different. Mine was covered in a sauce, her's had almost none. The grits were clumpy and dry on her plate. When the server FINALLY came to check on us, and asked how everything was, I told her about the inconsistencies and how it wasn't good. She didn't apologize or offer to get a Manager. She simply just stated "Yeah, well I don't cook the food and that's how it's on the menu. Piss poor service. A simple " I'm sorry, would you like more sauce?" or "I'm sorry you had a bad experience, let me get the Manager", would have been acceptable. Nothing was offered other than the check. That was actually what came the fastest. Quick for a tip, but slow with everything else. It wasn't even that busy, that's the sad part. This restaurant has potential and Kingston should be proud to have a place like this. They really need to work on consistency and customer service. read more

The food here is amazing! They have a full bar with specialty drinks daily. They will accommodate large groups. The staff is always friendly and fast with meals and drinks. It's easy to get to and not far off I40 at exit 352 next to Food City. read more

Unfortunately we came in when the servers were stretched thin. Drinks and appetizers were good but our food came out cold an hour after we ordered and then a remade plate came out subpar with the same chicken from the previous plate was thrown on the grill to dry out and then thrown haphazardly on the new plate. Our courtesy desert for that mistake, crème brûlée, came only half brûlée'd, whipped cream and strawberries covering up the laziness. The wrong sugar was used and burnt. The crème brûlée itself had split and ruined the experience even more. My husband and I don't go out often, my husband being a sous chef himself, and we were looking forward to this kid-free meal, 30 minutes away, for over a year for our anniversary. The atmosphere is absolutely atrocious if you sit near a window and the people in the parking lot blind you by leaving their lights on. Blinds would solve this issue immediately. If you were so short staffed that your servers are overwhelmed giving tables cold food then seat fewer tables. I can't recommend this place less. read more

The restaurant is west of Food City. The sign is NOT visible from the parking lot. We were seated promptly with a reservation. Drink orders wee taken quickly, and delivered fairly quickly. We ordered the pita and pimento appetizer, two of our party liked it, two found it too spicy. The entrees we ordered were the shrimp and grits (2), fish and chips, and a salad with shrimp protein. Adding a small salad to an entree was $5.50, which was close to the cost of an entree salad. The shrimp and grits were acceptable but the tails were left on, which meant you had to fish them out of the gravy and separate them from the shrimp. The cod was cooked, but the batter was doughy next to the fish. The salad ingredients were fresh, and were enjoyed. The cheesecake dessert disappeared with little comment. We had a good meal, but I doubt we will repeat the visit. Total bill with drinks over $150. read more

This location has been changed hands a few times but here's hoping the Maple Creek Bistro folks are here to stay. The restaurant has been totally renovated and they knocked it out of the park, with terrific outdoor eating spaces, fun open concept sports bar and quieter more intimate dining areas. It was very busy but the service was on point, friendly, attentive and quick to respond. I ordered the summer salad with salmon. The salmon was seared on one side giving it a bit of a crunchy texture while the rest of the meat was perfect and deliciously seasoned. My daughter had the vegetarian pizza, it was New York style and had a unique variety of vegetables (artichokes, banana pepper, cherry tomatoes) and honestly was one of the best she and I have tasted. My wife had the cod fish and chips and couldn't stop raving about the delicious crunchy batter and the flaky soft cod fish. The fries were top notch too. The menu is full of great items, we'll definitely be back with friends and family!! read more

I am writing to share my experience with you on Friday evening. We moved nearby recently and I was really excited to try out your restaurant. I called to place a to go order and asked if I could place an order for blackened fish tacos and grilled chicken alfredo. I was informed that the blackened fish tacos was only served on Tuesdays. I asked if the chicken alfredo was available since it was not a regular menu item and was informed that it was in fact available. So, I proceeded to order the chicken alfredo dinner for my husband and I changed my order to salmon and roasted brussels sprouts since the fish tacos were not available. I was told it would be about 20-25 minutes. When I arrived probably 30-35 minutes later I stood at the bar for a pretty good while before I finally asked a young lady walking by (appeared to be a manager) where I needed to pick up my to go order. She said she would go check on it. She came back and said I could pay for it but it wasn't ready yet. Several minutes later the hostess came over and was very apologetic (she also tried to call me however I didn't have my phone with me) but said they did not have the chicken alfredo and asked if she could get me something else. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza instead. She said she would expedite my order since I had to wait (again she was very sweet and apologetic to me). I waited on my order and when I got home almost an hour later and very hungry at this point I pulled out the salmon and brussels (my dish) and my husband made the comment that it didn't look good at all. I agreed with him but I still had high hopes that it would be delicious based on some of the photos I saw online which didn't look anything like what was thrown in my to go box. I was VERY disappointed. The brussel sprouts were barely cooked if at all. Hands down, it was by far the worst salmon and brussels sprouts I have ever had IN MY LIFE and that is usually my go to dish other places. My husband could literally hear me crunching the brussels across the table. The salmon was so dry and had absolutely no flavor. I couldn't even finish it. Reminder, I am still very hungry at this point. I would have thought after spending $58 for 2 meals and a side of fries I could expect at a minimum an edible dinner. Again, the hostess was very apologetic and sweet about the miscommunication and handled it well. I am human and I understand that mistakes happen so I am in no way upset with her because again she handled it well. However, I am not sure if since the ordered was "expedited" that it was done quickly and flavorless or what happened. Again, I understand miscommuncations happen and she did her very best to try and reach me in order to notify me about the stiuation. However, what I am upset and disappointed with is the fact that for $24.50 for one dish and a $58 dinner for 2 that I would have received more than just a piece of plain tasteless salmon and essentially uncooked brussels thrown in a container. read more
