This is a friendly dealership, and the staff is very helpful without being pushy. That said, don't expect to find a creampuff on the lot priced at a third of the Mecum and Barrett Jackson offerings (although some unicorns do exist). These are decades-old classics, and previous owners may not disclose everything. Nick does his best to point out flaws, but you need to do your own inspection. I chose my dream car, and went into the transaction expecting to get a "project" car that I could spend time tinkering. The flaws were typical ones, which didn't faze me, and I discovered others later once I took possession. But these are simple vehicles, and I welcome the challenges. Good prices, honest descriptions, family atmosphere. Cars are not perfect either mechanically or body but are priced accordingly. Best if you are mechanically knowledgable or marque knowledgeable to estimate costs of flaws and whether they are acceptable to you. Not recommended if you are a novice without someone knowledgeable to help you. Most cars present very nicely but can be a post-sale handful if you're expectations are a "perfect" car ready to reliably tour out the lot. A good indicator of this is that they sell a bunch of cars to dealers who remedy the flaws or take the car to the next stage, then mark-it up substantially. Stay away from Maple Motors as many of the vehicles they advertise are in need of reconditioning that this dealership doesn't do very well if at all. But if you are mechanically inclined then you will find out just what needs to be done, the cost to repair and negotiate for a fair price. Because the prices they show are inflated. read more

I'll give them 5 stars. What people have to understand when purchasing a classic car is "you are purchasing a classic car" that has NO WARRANTY. I've yet to see a classic car dealer offer one. The specialty of Maple Motors is classic, custom, and HOT ROD(!) cars. When I was driving by this lot I had to do a double take their were so many sweet cars parked along the front of the lot. They have many old Chevy Camaros, Corvettes, and Mustangs. They also had newer model Mustangs that had been customized. So you will definitely find something here to inspire your own customization project, or find that amazing car you've been looking for. thanks for all the reviews I was considering buying a car from them videos are interesting to watch but when you look at them underneath, it's not good. Most of those cars are wet from front to back tells me there's a lot of stuff leaking going on. Yes overall they don't look bad and you might find some decent cars but I agree with other reviewers I would not buy from them not when you spend that much on a car and a lot of stuff does not work on them and some of that stuff is simple as a horn or a wiper switch or turn signal even missing seatbelts you could get a ticket if pulled over for not wearing your seatbelt and the engines look and sound good but that don't mean it's gonna run after you get home as other reviewers have said I definitely would go there first and look at the car in detail and test drive it. I would not buy online and have it shipped without first, looking at it in person. and as Nick says that's why he does the test drive so you know what you're getting into before you get there, but you still need to go there and look at the car in detail videos and pictures can be deceiving. read more

People are so gullible, people are more than gullible. If you read some of the reviews here, I have to say that they are bias, that the people writing them do not have credibility, and I'm basing that based on other reviews they have not written,. Now whether or not you think you're going to buy a classic car over the internet, and have it shipped without a warranty, without a guarantee, you must be a little naive. A friend of mine bought a Camaro from here, and it was nothing but problems, and to ship a car like this with very obvious issues, engine issues electrical issues, it just was not a good transaction. The transaction I'm talking about is based on some form of integrity that goods for services can be a standard held with confidence by both parties. This is a used car dealership, and they are not selling the integrity of a car. A guy comes on and says I just test drove this. What does that mean? The person that is selling the car is actually implying that he's the one who test drives the cars? Isn't that a conflict of interest? The views should reflect the quality of service by actual customers. One of the things about Yelp that may benefit the customer is that many people, step in to write reviews that have very little to do with doing business with the company, they are more of a buffer to balance out the actual reviews that reflect the business that the company is doing. I am saying that if you buy a car from here you're taking a major risk to be disappointed. Because they look good, but they are not integrity tested cars. Car dealerships seldomly stand behind their product, or have the money, the integrity, or the wherewithal to make sure that these cars are up to snuff. If you're buying a classic car, you had better be patient, and wise about it. Because most of it is an inside job that cannot be guaranteed over an internet transaction not without a valid warranty, and one that is backed up by the satisfaction of a multiplicity of real customers that have purchased cars and possibly had problems that have been rectified by a company that stands behind their product. There's no cooling off., And if you buy a car over the internet you had better trust the dealership to back those cars up from the inside out. That just doesn't happen here. I've bought over 15 cars from Maple Motors over the years and they are awesome. I've purchased both trucks and classic cars and they are always accurately represented with no sales pressure. There's usually a great variety of years, makes, models, and conditions ranging from "GREAT" to "needs some love". This is because they focus more on driver quality cars, or cars you can get in, drive, and really enjoy and not-so-much on carss you just put in a garage and stare at. Some cars are rougher than others, which is great for people who are much more mechanically inclined than I am and want something something less than perfect to fix up. I'm a big fan of classics in original condition or lightly modified, and there are always plenty of those to choose from. Typically the only customizations done on-site would be wheels. Don't like the aftermarket wheels on your dream car? No problem; let them know, they'll usually have original style ones available. I'm forced to give 1 star. I paid cash for a 71 Chevelle. I test drove the car and had it shipped 3 hours to my location. The car has not ran properly since I've had it and I decided to take it to Midas and not only found out the carburetor needed to be replaced but the engine also needed to be replaced. These scammers offered to give me 500 bucks towards the labor of getting a car up to standards (replacing an engine and carburetor) when I paid quite a bit for it the car. In all honesty I would not recommend going anywhere near this dealership. Asking this much for a car and want cash in hand for full amount you would think they would take the time to go through the engine and everything else with a fine tooth comb. I wouldn't buy a huffy bike from here let alone another vehicle from them lesson learned. read more

They are very thorough on both inspection videos telling all the bad flaws on the cars. That way there is no surprises after purchasing. My father named me after the 67 GTO. It's been my lifelong goal getting one. After searching on the interweb for the past ten years, and now able to afford one, I found the GTO that would now sit in my garage! Maple Motors had two sitting there. I called on the gold one first. That one would leave me with some cash to fix her up. But the Maroon one for $27G was close to being %100. Since I live up in Minnesota I put my trust in a feller named Jim Jr. Turns out it's a family business. His brother and father Jim Sr. all worked together to make my purchase effortless. This pics where very telling and thorough. Rick made the delivery very affordable. Jim Jr. called me and asked what I thought of the car. When I mentioned some lights didn't work and that there was a vibration due to the driveline being to short for the Muncie, he sent me a check to cover my expenses. That's what I call integrity at it finest. It's not everyday you find a 67 GTO as nice as this one for the price I paid, dealing with such solid honest people who went above and beyond making my dream come true in the happiest way possible. Not sure why these guys don't have more reviews. They've been in business for years and I can honestly say buying a car through them has been, overall, the best car buying experience I've had. I buy a lot of cars and from start to finish the Fife boys were honest, upfront and fair. There was some debate between myself and the shop as to wether the car was a true SS and even through some pretty intense discussions Jeff was always respectful and willing to hear me out. The debate was not maple motors fault btw, the fact is in the 70's Chevy wasn't as particular about documenting their cars, so a VIN search on old cars gives some data but not enough to say beyond all doubt if it's a Chevelle SS, a Malibu or an chevelle Malibu SS without the original build sheet. At the end of the day I was convinced that it is a Chevelle Malibu SS not the straight Chevelle SS I wanted but I also decided it didn't matter so I bought it anyway. The transactions were smooth and Jeff and Jim handled everything quickly. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 is they basically take the car in as is, make sure it's running and are upfront about anything it needs but they don't do major mechanic work or registration for out of state , so for example my car needs seatbelts and some other stuff but they don't do it and I had to pay California extortion registration rates (3,600+ dollars! ) and couldn't roll it into the loan like you usually can.
