But there are lots of people that are good at their jobs. Danny is better than good, he's GREAT!! He listened. He addressed our questions, our concerns. He didn't make up things. If he knew the answer he provided the information. If he needed to research the question he did that. All the while, without pressure or push. And Ish Saddler, manager, work with us, creatively, to make the purchase less painful financially. Danny, worked to get our vehicle ready to go home in freezing conditions. Again, yes it's his job. However, many would have done the bare minimum to get the vehicle ready. He was thorough. Everything was cleaned, in place and just so well prepared for us. And done outside in literal freezing weather. Cleaning with water literally created ice. I took my Santa Fe to get the car serviced . You know no big deal. I sat in the waiting room for 3 hours and that was with a appointment . So a course I was pissed . I talked to the lady behind the desk and she was the least bit interested in my pissed off face trying to keep it together . They brought my car up in the garage and I paid the expensive bill. I came out and saw they did not rotate my tires . The Head mechanic was in the office . I told them and he called me a lair . I had a tire replaced two months before and it was in the same spot . Well come to find out after drove off mad as hell . They pulled the tape and they took them off and put the straight back on . I went because my blinkers were blinking in double time, and I tried replacing the bulbs and it didn't fix it. They replaced the bulbs (or so they said), but the blinking in double time is still happening. You'd thing they might know cars... and you'd be wrong. Wish I'd just gone to the parts store and done it myself and saved $300. But they did give me a very nice itemized list of things they'd fix for more money.... Just left this location (April 5 2025) TL;DR: the reviews are accurate - avoid at all costs! Was able to schedule a diagnostic appointment on a Saturday (which took weeks due to their limited availability). The website asks if you're waiting with your car or dropping off or want a shuttle service & I indicated I would be waiting there. This is key because when I arrive, they tell me 1) they don't do diagnostics on the weekend 2) just because I scheduled an appointment on a day doesn't mean I'll get serviced that day 3) they wouldn't be able to look at my car until the 14th of April because there were 8 vehicles ahead of me 4) I would have to drop my vehicle off & just be without a car that entire time. None of this was communicated to me in any way prior to my arrival. Anyone could have called (even the day before) to explain this bogus situation. An automated email could have been sent with details about the nature of the appointment. This is just pure insanity. read more

The car drove fine no shaking no issues and smooth ride. Now two months or 3k miles later I have a TPS light on, hard shifting, extremely bad shaking in steering upon braking, and shuddering on acceleration from low speeds. I took my vehicle in this past Saturday and spoke to sales manager Rick and was told that's its "normal" wear and tear on the vehicle however I work from home and don't drive more than 50 miles round trip daily. I asked for the pre inspection report and on the report the rotor thickness was at 4mm which from what I was told by the service technician should have been replaced at the time of purchase instead it WASNT‼ Due to greed & unethical practices that consumers like me have to foot the bill on. I was not offered a resolve rather a suggestion of " I'd take it somewhere else for a cheaper price since "those guys make $200 an hour" like what in the entire HELL, very much regret doing business with a bunch of money-hungry, desperate to make a sale, vultures that prey on women, & I'd go so far as to say lower middle class consumers. Terrible experience communicating with service department. Failed to answer phone to get update 5 hours after I was told car would be finished. Didn't return calls after finally finding an extension without a full mailbox to leave a message. Jason was exceptional to work with, very helpful and spent a great deal of time assisting me over several months to get the exact new 2025 Tucson hybrid that I wanted. Well they have fixed their service department issues! After a spell of chaotic and unsatisfactory service experiences here, the service I experienced this week was a totally different experience! They were right on time; the service desk personnel were welcoming, pleasant, organized and knowledgeable, and my work was done efficiently while I waited! This experience was light years away from the last several service experiences I've experienced. From setting the appointment to being personally escorted to my car while the service desk personnel removed all the paper placed inside the car to facilitate the service, I was pleasantly surprised. Absolutely the worst experience l've ever had with a service center. Trying to reach anyone-- let alone the manager --was a joke. Voicemail full. I brought my car in for simple glass repair and got it back in worse condition. There's now water inside, a musty smell, and a soaked door speaker. Found it sitting on the lot with nothing but a flimsy plastic bag over it, collecting water. We walked into Hallmark Hyundai today to check out a 2023 Hyundai Tucson and were initially greeted by some really friendly people. It started off as a great experience, but unfortunately, that changed pretty quickly. We were paired with a sales rep named Tim, who showed us a car that wasn't quite what we were looking for. When we asked to see a different model, instead of staying with us, he had someone else (who just moves cars) bring it around and told us to come back to him if we were interested. It felt odd--like he wasn't really invested in helping us find the right car. After the test drive, we came back and told Tim we really loved the car and were seriously interested. We asked him to give us his best offer in writing so we could take it with us while we went to check out one last option. His response completely threw us off--he looked at us and, in a condescending tone, said he wasn't going to write up an offer for "unserious buyers." At that point, we immediately decided we were done. As we walked out, he kept talking at us, but by then, we had already made up our minds. What makes this worse is that we had an $18,000 cashier's check in hand, literally ready to buy. Earlier in the day, we visited Beaman Toyota, and they completely understood why we wanted to compare options--even encouraging us to do so. The contrast in customer service was night and day. They need to be shut down. Third time taking car there and this time they have not only had it for over a month going weeks without answering, initially said engine needed replacement fully under warranty as my car was under 70k miles. After weeks go by and they have my car on the lift they call my fiancé and say it needs over 5k worth of repairs. They didn't do the inspection before ordering a new engine? Despite all of that, 3 times the cars been taken for maintenance or Hyundai faulty part replacement, THREE TIMES AND MONTHS WITHOUT MY CAR AND THEY NEVER REPLACED THE BLIND SPOT SENSORS WHICH WAS ASK EVERYTIME MULTIPLE TIMES. This last "service" joke.. was the last and they have held my car for an addition 2 weeks after going to get it and the sensor wasn't fixed after paying almost 3k for the bs repairs after the engine replacement. My fiance was told today it was ready; left work and the sensor wasn't replaced. Please note we were told people were fired during this process such as the initial advisor. They don't have printers so they can't print out any verification of anything. Just absolutely a horribly ran operation. I will be speaking with the General Manager, shop foreman, head quarters, and TN bureau. On top of the terrible experience not a single person has been responsive, or anything less than lazy rude and unprofessional and unhelpful and not knowledgeable in regard to the automobile industry and basic business consumer responsibilities. I have left out the details of the individuals that were fired and rude and lied (all different) as it is not appropriate here but I look forward to the Companies rectifying their mistakes and answering to the required regulations they are responsible to follow. read more

We saw a GM answered our reviews- tried to get in touch with him via the dealership and having the same issue with getting someone to answer the phone (he did not leave a direct number to contact him). Seems like they are doing some damage control as they are now all of a sudden answering ours and everyone else's negative reviews. My sister left a message via the email now listed on the updated staff page and received no response. She did however receive a quote for them to buy back the now totaled Hyundai that they "fixed/worked on", the report by the insurance adjusters is too long to list here but can be emailed to anyone who is interested. Long story short there was mysteriously all of these new damages to the vehicle that the adjuster caught. Funny enough, the quote for the buy back offer came from David Duncan- who is now identified as the person who called himself "Justice" and refused to give his real name. Before buying a car from this establishment, ask yourself this: if someone is not competent enough to just automatically know to check a VIN number on a car before arguing about what is wrong with it and lies about what his name is for whatever reason, do you really want his name attached to any of your important paperwork for your vehicle? Almost feel like his email for the quote on the buy back was a slap in the face/ joke on us. Went to Wyatt Johnson in Clarksville to replace the damaged vehicle and 5 stars across the board. The salesman Greg was awesome and they keep in contact with you even after you purchase your vehicle. Had a couple questions about the vehicle after purchase and had 0 issues getting in contact with the dealership. Anyone who needs a new car: I would recommend Wyatt Johnson all the way. Update: A lot of deception, incompetence, and flat out negligence at this dealership, especially when it comes to service. My sister went to the dealership to speak to a manager after not being able to reach the service department. The manager came up to her and as she started talking about the issues with her vehicle, he said he had to step away and he would be right back. He was gone 45 minutes. When he came back he argued with my sister (who had my aunt that works for a Hyundai in another state on speaker phone listening/recording) that her car was a 2013 and not covered under warranty. (It's a 2022). After asking him repeatedly to check the VIN, he finally did and came back and admitted it was not a 2013 and said because the damage this time around was from a punctured radiator (after only driving it 80 miles) that it would not be covered under warranty. He then proceeded to lie and said that the coolant hoses were also not covered under warranty and were only repaired for free out of the "goodness of their hearts", when it clearly states in her warranty that the coolant hoses were covered (also confirmed by corporate). He then said the service manager was out due to a heart attack which is why no one could get back to her. If that's the case, we hope she's okay, but with all of the other lies included as well as the plethora of other reviews left in a similar nature, I question the authenticity of that claim. But even then, does the whole service department shut down if someone is out? My Aunt intervened, asked for his name, to which he replied "Justice". We looked up employee names on the website which had no person with that name and then called the dealership asking for "Justice" on a different occasion, and we were told that no one named "Justice" works there. Long story short with corporate, they gave her 800 dollars for the rental car that is covered under warranty and recommended they go through a lawyer and contact the BBB since it fell short of being covered under lemon law. Scheduled an appointment for an oil change that turned out to be a major mistake on my part. The simple oil change which should take 20-30 minutes actually took almost 3 hours and $150.00. When you check in they don't tell you that unless you have several hundred dollars cash in your pocket and will pay by credit card, they will charge you a 3% processing fee on top of the hugely overpriced service charge. Bottom line, if you value your time and money, go elsewhere for a simple oil change. I will never make the mistake of going to Hallmark Hyundai ever again! read more

400 miles after our 60,000 mile warranty expired, vehicle started having issues. We took it by Hallmark Hyundai and were told it "might" still be under warranty. Never explained what "might" meant. I searched the online group I'm in and they explained what it meant. SO when I went to make an appointment I couldn't get it in for over a month. Great, how do you drive a vehicle that his issues? So, I happened to log in and see an earlier appointment so I grabbed it. Not being sure if it was just to check fluids OR if they would actually check it out, I called the following business day (after I made online appointment) to make sure they would be able to look at it and I was told sure, they could check it out. SO, after waiting over 3 weeks to get in for this appointment, I arrived (dealing with all of their construction issues) AGAIN, and I was told they didn't have a tech there today and it would be two weeks before a tech could look at it! I said I wasn't going to leave the vehicle for two weeks. I was directed to a "service advisor" and I told what happened. Once again, I was told they only have skeleton crew there on Saturday. Not sure how that's my problem but it became my problem. I was told to come in Monday and talk to a manager. I'm there, I shouldn't have to come back AGAIN. I was then told they were booking for NOVEMBER!! I stated that this made me never want to buy another Hyundai (we have 2) because they can't service them. Reply was, yes we can service your vehicle. I said that a November appointment wasn't service. HOW can someone drive a vehicle with issues while waiting for an appointment? Sadly we've had several issues with this vehicle and thought we had everything handled before the warranty expired. WRONG. AND, I was never contacted about buying an extended warranty once it expired. I even called and left messages with the "finance" person (whom I was told handled extended warranties) and never received a call back. With all of the bad reviews I'm really surprised they can stay in business. I have a friend who purchased from Hallmark and they refuse to take their vehicle back there. I truly don't understand what takes so long for an appointment. I'm wondering WHY so many Hyundi vehicles need service. Maybe that's the telling part of all of this. read more

Service manager is not understanding and will not take care of you. Not organized whatsoever. They will push you to the next day for inspection for four days in a row. They don't communicate well at all. The service department implemented a policy where if you use a credit card to pay for your repair, they charge you a 3% fee. This policy not only will cost them my business in the future, but many others as well. Taking credit cards is part of the cost of doing business. When somebody is told after being presented with a bill over $1300 you have to pay cash or use your debit card to avoid another 3% fee, you're stuck. Not everyone has the cash on hand to pay these bills, so the 3% becomes a charge most can't avoid. Terrible policy! Does Amazon, Apple, any fast food restaurant charge a fee for using your card? No! Pay for your long delayed remodel some other way! read more

The other two are hit and miss in mood and friendliness. You can call and ask about an appointment, but they are going to tell you -you don't need one. I knew I had a great deal and we worked to crunch numbers and I would pick it up on Monday July 1st 2024. The guy texted and called me to inform me 2 days prior that his sales team and managers sold the truck out from under him and me even though they knew there was a previous final deal in place. I'm not over dramatizing or blowing up the experience I'm simply stating the plain facts. It is first hand information. When it comes to money and profitable deals they place cars and deals above clients and any business who does this instead of building slow and steady relationships and growth may be profitable in the moment and suffer long term. Hallmark Hyundai used to be a fantastic place to buy a car, with managers and salesmen who cared for you as a customer and wanted to make you happy. However, in 2023/2024 after new ownership and management, this place has become an absolute joke. The service is genuinely horrendous and makes me question if anyone here is actually competent. Back in the 2016 - 2018 timeframe, I would give a glowing 5 stars to Hallmark Hyundai any day of the week. It was easy to go in early on a Friday morning and get a quick oil change and inspection for a reasonable price. In and out in no time. Always gave you the straight scoop on your car, never a reason not to trust, and always left with a smile on my face. Then something changed DRAMATICALLY... I went in as per usual to get an oil change... "Do you have an appointment?" I never had to have one before. The service person says "It's been like that since I've been here" which, I found out, was only a few months. But I thought ok, I'll play along. Made my appointment and went in... sat there longer than I typically did without the appointment but oh well. Each time I went in, I always mentioned that my tires wouldn't stay properly inflated. They always claimed to look at them and never found anything. The tires wore VERY prematurely as a result and ended up having to buy a new set (not at the dealership) when suddenly they wouldn't hold air at all. It was well within the mfg warranty period, but try proving it wasn't your fault. Another thing was that every time I went for a regular servicing, the price went up dramatically and they always had a couple of pricey jobs to recommend. Considering I'm still today not even to 23k miles on this car how could my brakes need new pads? Why did my tires look twice as old as they were? Fast forward to today. Oil change time. Less than 30 minutes labor, but somehow my bill was $145. AND they did a tire rotation that I asked them not to do because the place where they were purchased provides rotation service. They have less than 1k miles on them and the guy tried to act like he could feel wear on the front tires already. *eyeroll* And of course, the recommendation for the brake pads and rotor machining at $200+ (just for the front). The service folks didn't even seem surprised with me declining the brake job or going speechless when they told me my total for the day. They really have you over a barrel, risking a voided warranty if you have this stuff done elsewhere. But I can't afford this piracy. read more

If I could give Hyundai a negative score I 100% would. I would strongly advise not a single person to ever work with a Hyundai dealership. Especially a family or struggling family, the worst car with the worst experience attached. My boyfriend and I bought a 2015 Hyundai Sante Fe Sport with 80k miles Jan of 2024. This year. We were originally so excited. May 2024 5 months later not even 6000 miles driven on it, our engine locked up with no warning light or anything, in the middle of the highway. We got it towed to a Hyundai dealership. Our engine had 2 warranty's from purchasing on it so we were pretty hopeful. We got it towed to Hyundai memorial weekend. We were told someone could take a look at it the following Thursday. We got a call the car was received and they were getting ready to take a look at it. A week goes by never received an update called, which it's EXTREMELY HARD to get ahold of anyone. Finally got someone on the phone that assured the car was being worked on and we should hear from someone with updates next week. Next week rolls around. No call. Tried to reach out towards the end of the week. Spoke to someone that they were working and waiting on Hyundai corporate about warranty coverage on our vehicle. My response was "wonderful, I just want to make sure our car is being worked out" because now we are a one vehicle family which makes it a little difficult. The next week I get a call to "our service advisor, LeAnn" who we have never spoke to up to this point. She calls to apologize for the delay on our car with all there turnover in there company our car as not been inspected. Which to my confusion I've been in contact with them each week assuring our cars maintenance update I asked her to please check her facts. Turns out our car was there for 3 week and never had been touched. We were lied to. To our frustration they finally were able to give us a loaner which gave themselves permission to put us more on the back burner. The warranty company denied our warranty due to lack of maintenance from before we owned the vehicle which was in the carfax. I was hoping they would be more understanding with new car owners of there vehicle that we just bough at this point 6 months prior. We were told there was nothing they could do and it "wasn't there problem" I had to remind them to check our second warranty that Nikki so graciously put in and helped get us approved for. But it was still a nightmare of a process. They had our car for 4 months. It is now September. They Changed the engine (to a old recalled engine) replaced the starter and the oil. We received our car back and IT STILL WOULD NOT START CORRECTLY. An no manager, no worker beside Tony, who he has been incredible through this whole process but he is only in the service department as an advisor there is only so much he can do. They have had our car 4 months and it still will take 5 mins to start and lights keep coming on. This is the worst car company, the worst dealership, besides Tony there is nothing good to say about this company. Please save your time and your money. read more

Service, if you can call it that, is ridiculously slow. You have to schedule an oil change a month in advance. My car had a diagnostic code come up when it was time to take it in for the oil change. It took two weeks for them to get it back to me and the same diagnostic code came back in less than 50 miles. I brought it back to them immediately and they kept it, but rescheduled it for service several weeks later instead of working it back in, which I think should have been the case since they just had it in the day before and said it was corrected. Every time I called about it they said they had it scheduled for service the next day, but weeks later, still nothing has been done. read more

That is pertinent to what happened to me Wednesday. My panoramic sunroof on my Tucson stuck open on me 2 1/2 years ago. Finally got it shut and haven't opened it since. My warning beeper saying it was open started going off Monday. I told my husband and he went and looked at it and pushed the sunroof button. Yep, stupid thing wouldn't shut again. I made an appointement and took the car down there. I told them I just wanted it closed. I didn't care if it never opened again. They looked at it the next day. I got a call and this was what the said was necessary to fix it. We have to order a whole new panaromic roof system. The motor works, but the brackets are bent at a 90 degree angle. That will cost $5,200. That doesn't include the estimate we have to get from the glass person. I said: The whole dang car isn't worth $4,500 why would I want to spend $6,000 to fix it. I just want the thing closed. I know they can close it. No, mam. Because those brackets are bent, (well she said bent one time broke the next) it can't be closed. I called my husband and son-in-law panicked. My son-in-law said he would get on it, start looking up parts and said: If they can install I know I can. Well, to my surprise the whole panaromic system can be ordered straight from Hyundai for $3,200. So, I guess they were going to charge me $2,000 to install it. The glass piece (mine was not broke by the way) is $400. Total for parts $3,600. Now here is where it gets interesting. My son-in-law took the trim off, his friend found a sensor and cleaned it. They pushed the button and it closed. Not a single part bought. Just someone taking some time to actually look at it. So much for the brackets being bent, or broke. The dang sensor just needed to be cleaned. Why wouldn't a dealership want to investigate a problem for a customer? I don't know. All I have to say is don't trust what they tell you. I am sure they thought: Well she won't be able to drive with a hole in the roof so she will pay whatever we tell her. Well, I was already parting it out in my head. Other than the dang sunroof not closing everything else is in almost perfect condition. Also, there is a class action lawsuit against these panaromic sunroofs for exploding. Check the recalls and lawsuits (there are a few) before you take their word for anything. Not only has the dealership lost my business, but I referred my sister-in-law and daughter into a Sonata and Tucson respectively and I will never buy a Hyundai again and will run everyone away from them. They treat their customers as cash cows even after they have brought them a ton of business. Shame on you!! read more

Had to have my car towed there because it wasn't running. They told me they could diagnose it within a few days. A month later, and I finally got a diagnosis. When I asked why it took so long, they said they were behind on diagnosing vehicles. They never said that when I called the first time. Then it's taken them about another month to get the parts and fix it. No offering of a discount or anything for the trouble. read more
