Definitely would recommend the service side of Maple Ridge Chrysler Jeep Dodge, Ram. James, the lead service advisor, and Roger, the diligent mechanic, solved a computer module issue that had created different warning signs on the dash, including air bag, which was unnerving. Roger tracked down the issue and the dash is now clear. Kudos to Roger and James! I would NOT recommend the sales side of Maple Ridge Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram! While waiting to get the service done, we met Melina, who came to meet us outside and discuss a future need we have for a fleet of trucks. There were several sales guys huddled around a computer at the front desk and didn't acknowledge us. She is definitely the person we want to purchase from because of her personable and professional demeanour. THEN, a couple days later, we went to see Melina, to further discuss those trucks, Maple Ridge Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram fired her for "not being productive enough". I have a suggestion, fire the sales guys loitering about because they were not being productive either. Go literally anywhere else! This place still uses all the hard sell tactics and tricks that most other dealerships have given up on. Their sales staff will say anything to get you in and then will try and sell you a vehicle you don't want for a price that is nowhere close to the price range you give them. They make you wait when you get there (classic sales tactic) they're quick to pull out a four square (yet another sales trick to confuse consumers) and then they try and talk you down and wear you down so they can trick you into something you don't want just to get the sale. They are all about their profit and are in no way in business to benefit the customer. read more

These folks really don't believe in internet sales. Sure, they list their cars on the big sites, like Autotrader, and they have their inventory on their website and they even have people who have titles like "Internet Manager" and "Internet Coordinator" but if you try to get any information or a quote, they absolutely refuse to give it out over email or their online form and want your number so they can call you at all hours of the day in order to play the silly game where they pretend they have to ask their manager every time you ask them for a price or any information. If you enjoyed the used car shopping experience circa 1990, then shop here. If not, and you like being able to get quotes or information about vehicles being sold without sitting through an hour of the used car salesman shtick, then go elsewhere. read more

Buyer be ware- their extended warrantee is worthless, and could cost you 10's of thousands more than not having one! They are absolutely the worst. Service: I took my car in- which I purchased from them along with an extended warranty- for a starter replacement. They cover it under warranty and let me use a courtesy car which is actually just a rental it turns out. The next time I take the car out for a drive longer than 20 blocks, the overheating warning comes on. I call service, they make me an apt the next day, tell me I don't need to tow it, just drive it in. I do, they set me up with the courtesy car again. Now, two months later, I get a call that they won't cover the overheating, my car is disassembled and needs to be towed off their lot at my expense, and they are back billing me for the courtesy car. I have no idea what to do. But if other people out here are reading this, do not- ever- buy a used car from them, do not buy their extended warranty. read more

Had a second horrible encounter here. I went in with my car I had purchased from them 5 years earlier to do a trade-in for an SUV. I knew which ones I wanted to look at and the salesman Eric was nice enough to help without pushing and harassing me into getting one which I was happy about. Once I settled on a car I was interested in we sat down to run numbers. Unfortunately this is when everything went wrong. Eric brought over his sales manager David who immediately was such a scumbag. First off they only offered me $4,000 for my car when I know it could sell for $13,000, but when chatting about my cons on the car David immediately would cut me off and not hear any of it. When they were looking at my trade-in the salesman Eric had my car keys and after I had decided to not purchase the SUV they continued to not give me the keys back to my car and pushed multiple times for me to the SUV for the night for a test run to make up my mind. I refused multiple times and my brother continued to ask for my car keys bad... the salesman Eric walked over to the sales counter after he agreed to give my keys back, only for my brother to walk behind him and ask AGAIN, then Eric took them out of his vest pocket (HE HAD THEM ON HIM THE ENTIRE TIME!) I was looking for a Nissan and decided to try the Nissan dealership down the road... I found a 2019 Nissan rouge SL AWD, for $5,000 less, with 40,000km less, and it was a a tier up model. Oh and they offered me $5000 MORE for my car to trade-in!! The Nissan dealership was a whole different experience. The salesmen were extremely friendly and not pushy in the slightest. Lesson learnt. I will no longer do ANY car purchasing through maple ridge Chrysler or any used dealerships again. Scumbags. All of em! read more

Very shady management team. I purchased a use car from Maple Ridge Chrysler. The sales representative made assurances there was a $10,000+ upgrade installed in the vehicle. It turned out the sales rep was wrong. I submitted a complaint to the V.S.A. of B.C. The VSA determined the sales representative had incorrectly represented the car as having the $10,000 upgrade. The sale rep admitted they thought the car had the upgrade and had told me the car had the upgrade. When the VSA asked Maple Ridge Chrysler to compensate me for the error of their sales rep, the general manager, James Plowright, refused to do so, and is now refusing to communicate with me. I have a recording of James Plowright telling me I assumed the expensive upgrade was included, even though he could have simply ask his sales rep about our discussions. Do not make appointments or contact these yahoos by phone they are so useless no ones their they jerk you around the phone lines and when you finally just leave a message no one contacts you back they have no clue what their doing unless a computer system tells them what to do they have no skilled or an experienced team that can just give you a solution they have great customer service when you burst through the door yelling they are quick to cover their asses for a good review ive given them so many chances to think its just a busy or tough day but nope its everytime i call and its nothing but excuses plus most of their good workers have quit and its all new people since i bought my truck in Feb they re sales team awesome from my experience their service team two massive thumbs down! read more

I bought a Jeep Wrangler Sport in 2017 - the whole process took over a weekend and at the final 5 minutes they jacked the price up because they said the vehicle had better tires. they used every dubious car dealer trick in the book - even down to the owner sneaking up behind me and listening to our conversation while we waited for the return of our trade-in. It it was a dreadful experience. Since then the Jeep has gone in for it's "free" oil change every year and despite making an appointment every time I have had to wait up to 3 hours to get it done. the Jeep is a great car but there are plenty of other dealers who have to be better than this one. Final insult - took it in for the oil change for 8:45 am appointment, confirmed the day before and when arriving was told it would be 10:15 am maybe, walked away without the oil change at 0920 as they hadn't even got close to doing it... Based on my service I'm guessing not out of 5 The Salesman Brandon was nice but always bouncing between multiple customers. Felt incredibly rushed. I know what I wanted but help was limited at best. They had to get a car from Maple Ridge VW for me. 2014 VW Jetta, Diesel. To be clear, the car is great and a joy to drive. However, in the rush to finalize on Dec 31st, no overall prices were discussed just managed into the budget. Rush rush, whirlwind, push push. There is a lot more to this, but the Manager Dan, did help make it right, but very reluctantly bordering on rude. Also, because I had a job that was primarily driving I got the one year preferred warranty. June comes around and the Particulate filter was clogged and needed repair. I went to Maple Ridge, spoke with James. We tried to find the best time to come in and he promised up and down he would call back with times. He never did. Instead Coquitlam VW fixed it under the VW Diesel callback issue. Also at that time the fuel gauge was being intermittently weird. Fast forward to Now and the Fuel gauge works half the time. Took it back to Coquitlam who informed me it requires repair. Told them I have a 1 year warranty from Maple Ridge Chrysler. They looked into it and apparently the warranty is 1 year of 20,000 km whatever comes first. I'm at 23,000 No one told me it was limited by distance, just the year. More missing information from Maple Ridge. Had i been told that. Red Flags would have gone up, and yes everyone was told I had a driving job, it was on the credit application. After numerous phone calls to Maple Ridge, getting a call back was a nightmare. I will call you in 20 minutes. No call. I will call you back in a little bit. No Call. This continued. Eventually Dan called back after me calling them again Multiple times. I was told if I could get the car to them quickly he will TRY and get it fixed under good will. I say try because I would have to get them the car, from Burnaby, and maybe they can fix it under good will No guarantees. So go out there, have them look at it, and they may NOT fix it, so whats the point of going through that? If you want Honesty, transparency and service, NOT the place to go. Took my vehicle in for a blatant warranty issue. They are either deaf or didn't drive my vehicle at all. I should have taken note of the mileage prior to leaving the keys. Any other dealership I have had to deal with will look it over and rarely charge, especially if there is still a warranty. They did. Not only that, their "loaner" car is $40 a day. It says loaner on the back but rental would be more apt. The staff is rude, uncaring and generally apathetic towards the customer base. Especially the rental gal. You'll know which one I'm talking about when you go in. You'll want to slap her with a foot long sub sandwich. Her name rhymes with litany. She told me to bring the car back with a full tank. I returned it 3/4 full cuz she was a tit. So badass, right?! The rental car came with it's very own used SARS mask on the back floor and looked like it had not been vacuumed in a one month. Random hairs, dirt and assorted discarded papers. The receptionist was a sweetheart. Brand new so they haven't infected her with their bile yet. I only pray she gets out from under there before the service department sucks her of the will to live and puts her in rentals. I took my diesel truck there for an oil change during the cold snap a few weeks back. The service staff up sold me on synthetic oil and also recommended one that i do a coolant flush as my truck was at 120kms and it was due. So after I paid the 1100 and change I noticed that my heater wasn't working. I brought the truck back and told them I can't afford anymore money on this and the staff said they can't warranty a coolant flush. After they looked at it for a few hours they told me that it's prolly my themastat as the truck in their opinion doesn't heat up fast enough. I begrudgingly paid another 300 for the theramastat and still no heat. After talking to another service manager (friend) at another dealer he told me that they never recomand a flush unless there's an underlying issue as it can drive impurities into the heater core. They usually only do a fluid replacement for that very reason. So now I have my truck back with no heat and am increasingly upset at maple ridge for not at least meeting me halfway on the issue or at least redoing the flush I case there's an air lock. Live and learn. I've purchased 3 trucks from them and I've had many problematic service visits. This is just one example that's fresh atm , believe me it gets worse! I'm obviously a slow leaner as they are very close to my house. I will not go back going forward. read more

Now we are moving to Alberta , I asked in the service department if they could recommend a Chrysler dealership in Edmonton. I was told Crosstown Chrysler was owned by the same company as Maple Ridge Chrysler. This was great news I thought as the " VIP package" stayed with the truck Crosstown would honour the VIP package ! Had to talk to a sales manager about this I was told. The sales manager I talked to was arrogant and had stupid excuse after stupid excuse as to why The Large conglomerate that owns both dealerships will keep me money and not honour the VIP package at Crosstown ! With a big crap eating grin on his face he even suggested I could still use the VIP package at Maple Ridge , yes I will spend 500 on fuel and drive 30 hrs return trip for an oil change ! Absolutely horrible customer service! I called them to book an appointment for an oil change. The woman who answered the phone was so unfriendly as if I was intruding on her day. She was very unfriendly, gave me short choppy answers, and overall not helpful whatsoever. She asked me what my vehicle's VIN number was so I told her that I didn't have it with me since I was at work. Then she goes: "well, make sure you provide that to us before you show up here for the appointment ". So, i was like ok...She also kept saying that she didn't understand what I was saying and made me spell out everything I said to her which was very frustrating and time consuming. I speak English perfectly so I don't know what she was trying to get at. So, the next day I called to provide my VIN number and got an even worse customer service. What on earth is wrong with this call taker? Don't like your job? Go work elsewhere! I never ended up going to them. I would avoid this dealership altogether!! read more

I was told they had financing approval for me so I arrived to trade my car and pick up my Jeep. They had quoted me full trade in value for my car, but when we go there they told me I needed $10,000 down and I got far less for my trade in. Went in today to the parts counter to purchase some touch up paint as one does when they own a Chrysler product with their crappy paint. Got to the parts desk where and asian guy was sitting at the computer chatting to a younger guy behind the counter. No acknowledgment I was even there by either one of them. The young guy walks away and the asian guy just looks at his computer and starts typing, again no acknowledgement that I was standing there. Few minutes go by and the young guy comes back out and they start chatting again until he walks away. This asian guy then just looks down and looks at his computer and completely ignores me. I waited and few minutes and still absolutely not even any kind of acknowledgement I was waiting. I have been to this dealer on several occasions and every single time I a met with arrogant or incompetent staff in either service or parts. Crooks! Called me saying a single mother with two kids needed a vehicle and they could not get financed, so they wanted to see if I would sell my car to them for an AMAZING deal so they could lease the mother mine. I told them I could come by to have them look at it and see what "Amazing" deal they would give me. I told him I an not interested in having my payments go up as I am not needing another vehicle but wanted to help a mom out. I showed up there and Shad the salesman looked at my jeep and told me he would have his manager do the appraisal. In the meantime he would show me a few vehicles. During this time no one even came to look at my car. Shad then tells me his manager could only get me approved for a 2019 truck. I told him that it isnt worth his time to have me look at a truck until I see the numbers. He said his manager is working on them. I look at the truck, he offers for me to take it for a test drive, I decline. I am not here to buy a vehicle until i see the numbers and the appraisal. So we go back in and he brings me a peice of paper with a big smile and says he got an amazing deal. The truck was listed at $58,000 but they took $12,000 off the asking price. They would give me $17,000 for my jeep and even pay the tax. That I would need to put $1500 down and my payment would be $404 bi-weekly for 84 months. I laughed at him and asked if was trying to insult me with this offer. In what world would I trade my car in for book value, double my payments and pay $1500. He said that it is the best his manager could do, and this was a non committal courteous vehicle appraisal. Umm, what? What about the single mother, I never needed an appraisal. I asked to speak with a Manager. Some tall clown came over with a big uneducated smirk across his face and began telling me how they were getting me the best deal because of my negative equity blah, blah. I advised him that I didnt need a vehicle, didnt even need there help as I have a perfect jeep already. I questioned him about the single mother story, and his response with a big smirk was well yah, there are always single moms. He then proceeded to tell me that instead of $1500 down, he would give me $2,000. I laughed so hard. $2,000?!? I asked him how he felt $2,000 would persuade me. If I need $2,000 I would ask my Husband, not take out a car loan. He then asked me what I was willing to pay. I said $277 biweekly like I have said the whole time. He said he would go check things out. Walked away, 2 mins later hands me my keys and tells me to have a nice day. This place is a joke. If you want to waste your time and get lied to and get ripped off, for sure visit them. I did the math when I got home and If I had fallen for their ploy I would have ended up paying over $73,000 for a truck that would have not even been worth 30,000 when I drove off the lot. Bought a 2014 overland eco diesel in 2015, only 13000km, thought it was great... Turns out it has more warranty issues than a Dalmatian has spots. All transmission/suspension. Literally had the engine light come on the day after we brought her home (we call her Patrice after the coworker from How I Met Your Mother, you know the one, at first you think she's sweet and then she turns out to be a massive pain in the a$$). Anyways, originally we tried to get out of her right away. She was in the shop 4 times the first 5000k. My favorite was the time she put herself into off-road 2 setting while I was in highway 1. Then started alarming that my speed was exceeding the current suspension setting... Did it once in a parking garage too and I had to restart the engine umpteen times to even be able to lower her enough to drive out! That was fun. She's a lemon. Sales guys called her a lemon too (Danny, Max, was even in talks with Ian Speckman (more on him later)). I got the sales manager, Danny, to initial a full buy back on the original purchase docs... Seems to good too be true because it is. We drove her a little longer because they told us it would be tricky to finance something so quickly again and the service dept told us that sometimes these jeeps do this but that they finally fixed it. We drank the cool-aide and drove off. Another 4000km and we drive her back in smoking under the hood. Guess what, transmission again, nobody asked you Patrice! Well, didn't the other shoe drop. Danny tried to go with the whole 'financing' routine again, only this time I thought, that's gotta be bs. Credit has always been fine, I've been financed through the same bank for a couple of cars now... This just doesn't add up. So I call the bank, guess what, no nada none zilch paperwork was EVER sent to them about a buy back and refinancing. Is that even legal??? So I climb the ladder because Danny's phone has gone the way of Patrice, maybe the buttons don't work anymore! I send an email to Ian Speckman (see annoying radio commercials for further details) and guess what?! Chrysler must be behind his email server too! I'm in the dark place where dealerships leave you when they hope you will be too timid or lazy or apathetic to follow through with the threats that all consumers are left to make... I'll post online, I'll go to the MVSA, the BBB... Hell I've contemplated making t-shirts. I'm not going away. I went in with my 3 week old baby and wife to look for a truck. The sales guy wasn't too bad, but the manager was a total scumbag. He noticed I had veteran plates and told me he would give me a great deal. They pulled out a nice big black Dodge Ram that was a few years old. The manager said he would cut 6 thousand off of the truck, down from 29,999 to 24 thousand. They threw in a tv and dyson vacuum, and made a big deal about the huge savings I would get. I stupidly signed the papers and drove it home. A week later the engine started knocking. I took it into them, and service said the engine hadn't had the 60k major servicing that it required, and the truck was already at 85k. They wouldn't cover the cost, even though they sold me the truck, and wanted 1700 for servicing. I took the truck to Metro Ford to see about getting a trade in on a new truck. The sales guy showed me online that all the other dodge Rams from 2008, with less mileage, we're going for 15 to 17 thousand. They even had a 29'999 sticker on the thing when they pulled it out. My fault, I should have researched more before impulse buying. This place will rip you off and not help you afterwards. All the presents and Bbqs they have come from somewhere, and now I know, it's from hard working people's pockets. At least the guys at metro Ford gave me almost what I was overcharged towards a new F150. Wouldn't have needed a new truck if Maple Ridge Dodge was a legitimate business. The fact they tried to make it seem I was being given a great deal due to being ex military, and having a 3 week old baby with us, makes me cringe. I bought a Dodge Ram with cash back. The finance guy told my wife and I that it would cost us $800 a month and we would be paid off after 5 years. At the end of 5 years I find out he snuck in a balloon payment of $30,000 to make the numbers work! When I called the dealership they said it's not their problem as I signed the paperwork. My husband and I went in to find a car and do a credit rebuild. They treat you like royalty until you sign the papers... then suddenly you're a second rate citizen. They never fixed the issues with the vehicle, even though the promises of fixing the issues were on the sign-off paperwork. We purchased an extended warranty and tried to tell us the problem was one thing when it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that it was clearly something different. They tried to charge us to fix an issue that's "not covered u der warranty" because they said it was the battery. NOT the battery. It was an electrical issue which almost caught our car on FIRE! Then the back pedaling came. They did a "temporary fix" and claimed they had to special order the part to stop the wiring from shorting out and it would be in 2 weeks later. That was 10 months ago and not a word from them. I will never go there again and I will definitely NOT recommend anyone to go there to purchase a vehicle. read more

Bought our Journey there. Deal was OK. Referred a friend to them who bought a brand new fully loaded top of the line Journey, Sales person was supposed to give a little referral but did not. had to ask for it and when I did I did not get what they promised. do not care about the referral. Care about the BS they did about it. My other friend was going to go there as well but I sent them to another place where they bought a 1 year old Journey. Too bad these guys did little to keep customers after they sighed up happy. Also they ended up calling us about a spar key one year later. Went there twice and each time was told they would mail it out and we never received it even after they were the ones who did the call. read more

3 weeks ago I was pressured BY THE MANAGER AND THE SALESPERSON to buy a new Jeep without a working console( radio, Bluetooth and backup camera) . Both Manager and salesperson lied to my husband and I that they would fix this in 2 days. Been 3 weeks and I've been trying to follow up but the manager refuses to call me back. THE worst experience of my life and we wish we hadn't spent our money here. Only reason we went was because we had bought 3 cars there and thought that would be best- treated us terribly. Only after we did the deal, paid the money and organized the sale did they say the console would not update properly. It was fine during the test drive. Liars and dishonest .
