This was…read morewhere we spent our honeymoon (well Gburg actually - in an old run down cabin that wasn't theirs). I don't even know if this place was around then. That was 41 years ago but we spent time up here for our 40th anniversary this year - using them exclusively since we found them about 20 years ago. I think the ownership went thru change since we've been coming here but we exclusively and use them at least 3-4 times a year. Their special for last minute trips is incredible. After 20 years, 3-4 times a year (so we've stayed in most of them), each one has always been clean as a whistle. We have figured that we have stayed with them over 60 trips. At least. We've never stayed with anyone else the past 20 years! Our favorite place is at the top of the mountain at the water tower. However three of the four we always stayed at and liked the best, all but one was burned down in the Gatlinburg Fire of 2016. It burned down to their concrete footprint. They finally got one of them rebuilt and just opened back up so we are leaving Friday to go there. It's at the very top of the mountain and you can see for miles and miles. Yet it is only 5 min from the Parkway, behind Dollywood. You would think a cabin on the to of the mountain with its incredible view would be miles from the Parkway but it's only a short 5-8 minutes. I can never praise their staff enough. They are awesome people to work with. Some of our favorite restaurants we never miss are the Applewood for bfast, Guy Fieri's restaurant and arcade ( this is awesome and relatively new and great to go because there is a Crumbl and Ice Cream shop next door that are for that sweet tooth we always seem to get worse up there), Chop House, Cherokee Grill (Gburg), Ogles Farmers Kitchen ( I think this is the name. It right close to going in for Applewood. We've just recently found this and have been multiple times), The Pottery Barn Cafe is usually our first place we hit coming into town. There is also Paula Deens, Chop House, and Johnny Carino's. This is just for starters. Stay here and you won't regret it!!!

The cabins are all situated for privacy and you feel very secluded yet you can get yourself out there if you want too! The location is perfect. Only 20 minutes from major attractions in the Gaitlenburg/pigeon forge area. We were fortunate enough to meet and chat with the owners. Such great people! They have been in the hospitality industry for years and know the simple touches that make a vacation complete. I didn't forget the best part of the cabin!!! The soaking tub and porch. The porch is complete with privacy screens and hanging lights. A perfect end to a long day of sight seeing. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

PROS/CONS-Smokey Mountain Memories-15 bedroom…read more Let me start off with the CONS: This isn't exactly a CON but something to be aware of, the roads are windy and sharp, and everyone seems to drive rather fast around the windy and sharpen curves. On some roads there are mirrors to see individual vehicles as you navigate the roads but not a lot. The family drove cars, and SUV's, which was no issue getting to the cabin, (but during the winter you may want to double check how you are getting to the cabin as far as what to drive). Once the family made it to the Cabin they were apprehensive to leave because of the windy, sharp curves of the roads. I would ensure my vehicle had good tires, brakes, and no transmission issues. The picture of the outside of the Cabin isn't what is was shown online. I believe it was an earlier photo, as it shows green grass almost like sod, and from the pictures we thought the surface to park was flat. It is an incline, we parked along the sides of the driveway and got 11 vehicles parked, it isn't flat as i noted above make sure you have good brakes. That was no issue for us , just something to be aware of if you have a larger family who all drive from all areas. There are 2 charcoal grills, this something we weren't aware of, from what we were told when i called, i was told the grills would be propane and we didn't bring charcoal, which isn't a big deal, it takes about 15-20 min to get down to the bottom of the mountain to Walmart. The pictures that you see online are propane grills attached to the cabin. Just bring charcoal if any out door cooking. Did not like the 2 Jacuzzi's that did not work sitting in the front/side of the cabin, it takes away from the cabin, in my opinion, it looks like they are permanent fixtures. We had a few maintenance issues/ door to the roof not opening water dripping from upstairs they sent someone to fix the issue quickly. That was great. PROS: Check-in had no issues. The Cabin accommodated our large family with plenty of space on the inside, 2 dishwashers, 2 large refrigerators, 4 microwaves, 3 stoves, 1 that the fixture had to be fixed, we only needed to use 2 of the stoves. The kitchen was stocked pretty well with what we needed to cook. Plenty of space to eat and move about and enjoy the mountains on the covered deck. No complaints. Bedrooms were spacious loved that they all came with bathrooms, and TV's no one had to share.. However there were 2 rooms that had no tv, they were the bunkbed rooms upstairs. The view on the roof top was beautiful you can see the city view with the added telescope and this is where the 2 Jacuzzi's are located. The 2 jacuzzis could have been cleaner. The indoor pool are was very nice, and a bathroom was located in the pool area. Washer/dryer was utilized, along with game room downstairs a plus. The biggest add on bonus that i did not see from the pictures was the drink machines, just like the fast food establishment this was a big plus, never ran out of drinks. Last but not least, we got visitors all 3 days, we stayed, the first bear we saw when driving up to the cabin walking up the road in front of our vehicle. The others made a guest appearance around the cabin. All in all a successful trip.

The only items available are dining wear, everything else must be supplied by the visitor. So, for the stay, our stay was subpar. All the issues listed below were reported during the stay, but no response or corrective action was received. We left a day early and stayed near the airport for a day of comfort. Here are a few of the highlights. -The single comforter provided had visible holes, indicating poor maintenance. -Dust was present on all surfaces above five feet, suggesting that cleaning was superficial and limited to only easily reachable areas. -The washing machine operated only with hot water, limiting its functionality. -The dishwasher, while operational, had melted racks, making it impractical for proper loading and cleaning. -The pool table had tears in the fabric, rendering it unsuitable for use. -The arcade game machine's joysick only functioned intermittently and supported single-player mode only. -The jacuzzi was visibly dirty, containing unknown debris and oily residue, making it unsanitary and unusable. Now for the last is actually the biggest, security: Upon check-in, the company took a photocopy of our credit card--both front and back. In 2026, this practice is outdated and poses a significant security risk. Due to the exposure of full card details, we had to cancel and replace our credit cards immediately upon returning home. This experience fell significantly below expected standards for a rental cabin, particularly in terms of upkeep, cleanliness, guest support, and data security but yes, the mountains are nice and I enjoyed the view.

Friday night we got there and had to call 3 times!! First we didn't have any hot water, then we found bugs in the beds and on the floors, the upstairs bathroom toilet didn't have a chain so it wouldn't flush, the downstairs fireplace wouldn't work, the washer barely had any water running, and the top of the cabinet had food/ trash as if someone was throwing food over the stairs.After a long car ride like that we all wanted to take a nice warm shower before bed. We have stink bugs and lady bugs in Florida so we know what they are/ look like but we searched one of the bugs and it said bed bugs... When we called we were told no body would be out until the next day and it wasn't an emergency. No matter what type of bugs who wants to sleep in a bed full of bugs after a long drive like that?? The next morning the maintenance guy came out to fix these issues and he was a very nice guy. He listened to everything we said and by the time we came back we had hot water, the toilet flushed, and the fireplace was working! We got a phone call and they said they would send someone out to clean the house but everything looked the same way as when we left that morning. We all took showers and figured why not try an enjoy it since we already spend this much money and wasn't offered to be moved to another cabin or anything. Just that they would contact us after our stay... Sunday morning we woke up with no hot water again.... They came back out and got it fixed again and then we had it the rest of our trip. Though it ended there, NOPE!! Sunday night my sister went to lay down and she had water leaking on her bed. We didn't call because it was 2 am and they would have just said it's not emergency again. She slept on the couch that night. Monday went good we stayed in because it started snowing. My boyfriend cleaned the filter to the washer because it was full of dirt and the washer started working AMAZINGLY ! Monday night my sister went to lay down again and the same thing happened once again. Tuesday morning after we packed and got ready to leave we check the room to make sure we didn't leave anything behind and it started leaking in 4 more spots!!! That bed is going to be ruined and it is going to start stinking. So to say the cabin is ready and clean is a LIE!! It looked as if the cabin hadn't been clean in forever and when we started the shower it seemed like the water hadn't been ran in a good while. The cabin and view was beautiful but to pay as much as we did to have to come to something like this is CRAZZYY!! I didn't come on vacation to clean/ have to call someone everyday because there is a new problem everyday. My mom did get a call but all they could do was refund the cleaning fee and a 25% off coupon for our next trip. Yes we are thankful for something but I feel as that just isn't enough and we will definitely not be booking with them again. And if it was the cleaning company I would definitely get a new one because they don't know how to clean. I have my own business and WOULD NEVER DO THIS TO SOMEONE!!! I encountered several issues that made my stay uncomfortable, including: * Smell - Mold/Mildew/Smoke - very stale and irritating allergens - it was hard to even stay inside the smell was so offensive * Jacuzzi tub - black grit/dirt coming out of faucet with water; loud squealing noise in pipes? * Hot Tub - green slime in tub, odd chemical smell - not related to chlorine products * Tub/Shower - brown water coming out of faucet for extended period of time * TV remote would not work * Yellow stained sheets, smelling of smoke All of these were discovered upon check-in. It appeared that the cabin may not have been used for some time and wasn't updated for guest arrival. We attempted to eliminate the odor with sprays/disinfectants that we had to go and purchase. We then attempted to use the hot tub, jets would not stay on and there appeared to be some sort of slime in the tub. Upon exiting the hot tub, we tried the jacuzzi tub to rinse the slime off; that water was just as bad, then attempted to shower only to find it much worse. We gave the cabin a chance even though we weren't happy upon arrival. Things just progressively got worse. This was such a disappointment for our Anniversary stay. We travel often and have rented cabins in a variety of areas across the country. Older/aged cabins are common to us; this was well below expectations and description. We unfortunately did not trust that we would be able to seek resolution at 10pm and chose to check into a cabin owned by a different company. We did not get settled until well after midnight somewhere else and lost so much time.

The host contacted us via email the day before we were to arrive, with the door key code and check in/out info for the room we had booked /paid for. There was no mention in that email of issues with our room. We were notified via text at 5:27 pm and hour and half after check in time that he switched us to a different room with the new key code and check in/out info. I text him back to ask why he did this and if the new room was the same. He didn't give me any details on why he changed our room but stated it was the same. This was absolutely false, we were denied access to the room we paid for because he had other guest in the room we booked and paid for we spoke with those people. We arrived roughly at or near 7 pm that evening the room was filthy, bloody towels it was obviously not clean. We were in town for our nieces wedding, we missed that evenings festivities because we had to set in our car in the parking lot after driving from southwest Virginia waiting to get into the room that we were force to stay in because of the inconsiderate host. It was 9:45 pm before being able to take occupancy. At this time it was too late to join our family. Thanks to this host he really spoiled our time. BEWARE
