Great breakfast/brunch spot in CDMX! I came around 9am and was seated promptly at a table outdoors which was lovely. There will be people walking by trying to sell things so if that bothers you, maybe don't sit outside. I ordered the chicken enmaladas, a concha, and a latte which were all delicious and pretty good value for the area and quality of food. I visited Mexico City last weekend, and came here for pastries + a cappuccino twice with my friends who live in the neighborhood. The pastries were delicious (and so buttery mmm). I had high hopes for the vanilla conchas (after having the most amazing ones at Azul Historico), so while these ones were good, they weren't amazing. The smaller ones are a better pick because they're softer. We also picked up some freshly baked corn muffins (unlike any corn muffin in the US; must try), and some mini croissants filled with Mexican chocolate. Easily one of my favorite spaces in Mexico. I came here every day for week to have my fresh jugos and coffee and conchas, or huevos rancheros that stay with me in my fondest memories of Mexico. Right off a park, the outdoor seating offers a great spot for people watching and enjoying the weather when it's nice out. The service is lovely. I love coming back to Mexico City and enjoying the general warmth of the city. It's a very different experience than the typical cafe scene in New York, for example. Great bakery in a great spot in Condesa. The smell of the place hits you as you approach. We picked up some conchas and other pastries and walked around Parque Mexico, which was super pleasant and relaxing on a Friday morning. If you've ever tried conchas (or any sort of Mexican pan dulce) in the US, you probably think that they're dry, and the conchas from Maque are like nothing you've ever tried. We got chocolate and vanilla -- both amazing. I hear great things from a friend living in Mexico City about everything else that they serve. read more

WOW, I loved it here! The food, coffee and service were incredible. There was a wait to be seated as this place is very popular on weekends but breakfast was so good that I would have been happy waiting way longer. Most servers are bilingual and very accommodating. DELICIOUS PASTRIES. I went here 3 or 4 times while I was in Mexico City for a week. These are the best pastries. The empanadas are also really yummy. Only down side was that their hours said they opened at 8 am, but when I got there at 8, they weren't ready to open, so I had to wait around for like 15 minutes while they got everything ready. read more

I ordered tamales here, I don't know why but I did, they weren't good. The tamales lacked flavour and were pretty bland. I did have bread and coffee, a concha and a latte. Both were good but nothing too special. The place is next to a park which makes sitting outside very pleasant. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I probably won't come back since I can find the same items for a cheaper price elsewhere. I went for breakfast so maybe they have better items in the afternoon. This was my least favorite place that we went to the entire time we were in Mexico City. Our waitress was quite unfriendly-- as an example, she brought us the wrong menu and when we ordered, she looked at us like we were crazy. When we showed her the menu, she didn't apologize. Instead, she only gave us one of the correct menu. The pastries were all covered in sugar, looked dry and unappetizing. We ended up ordering a Spanish tortilla to share because we didn't really want anything from the breakfast menu. They charged us for splitting it without telling us. I can't understand why this place is popular. The food was not good. My boyfriend ordered a salad sandwich and the poor guy couldn't eat it. Pretty simple thing to get so wrong. What a fantastic breakfast - possibly the best breakfast of my 50 years. We started off with a delicious fruit plate of our choosing. It also had yogurt, granola, and honey on it. Next, the server came around with a basket of sweet bread offerings. I had the corn muffin which was mouth-watering. My friend had the best banana muffin of her life. For the main entree I chose the flor de calabaza omlette which had been recommended on Yelp. It was incredible! We each ordered an additional sweet bread. I chose the vanilla concha. It was buttery and perfect! I have never had a better one! In fact, we came back the next day and bought sweet breads and muffins for our two hour car ride. Please try this place. I came here on the weekend for brunch with 3 other people. We came early enough so there was no wait, but if you come anytime around 10am or later, you will be waiting. The pastries are very pretty. When we received our drink orders, the waitress also brought a basket of pastries for us to choose from. The concha I took was quite good. The menu is large, which makes choosing a challenge. I ended up on the huevos estrellas. They were good but the dish was plain. My boyfriend got one of the enchiladas and it was very good. I also got an americano and a hot chocolate. Both were big portions and very good. The whole bill for 8 drinks 4 entrees and 4 pastries was about 800 pesos, so it was reasonable. Overall, the place was very cute and the waitstaff was very nice. They have a lot of outdoor seating but we could not enjoy it because it was raining. read more

Loved this sidewalk cafe. Right next to park, so if you sit outside, it's quite a lovely, tranquil setting. Get there before 10, because a line (deservedly) starts to form! They bring around a selection of pastries as part of the meal; my wife loved these. I kept ordering not one but two plates: The revueltas maque and chicken enchiladas with red sauce. I would make myself practically ill eating as much of both plates as possible. The food isn't anything exotic or fancy, but boy it sure is tasty, and it's a classy presentation. 3.5 stars I went to this place on a saturday morning when there was an hour long wait. The wait wasn't a big deal but within 2 minutes of sitting down I was asked for my order and 7 minutes after that I was served my meal. The experience was rushed to say the least. Though I ordered a basic meal of eggs, ham and beans with some peppers, the dish itself was more bland than I expected and the ham was cold.. At least throw that on the skillet for a hot minute so I think you care. The café americano con leche was actually really good which is a major bonus as there is a way too much shitty coffee in D.F. Another redeeming quality of this place is their bakery. Phenomenal baked goods. Eat them greedily. read more

love this place! It is always bustling with people coming and going for coffee, a pastry, or a quick bite. They have some nice basic egg dishes for meals and an excellent assortment of delicious baked goods. They have a very good pan de elote corn muffin which often runs out due to it's popularity. The Condesa location is in a fun a vibrant location just off the park. Perfect place to stop in before or after a weekend stroll. read more
