All of it tasted great and fresh. was hitting. But definitely could've used Extra white sauce... pause. The seating downstairs isn't the most comfortable, however you gotta pay a 15 % service charge to eat upstairs. I think next time I'll take it to go. But definitely a good place overall.

This is one of the cleanest restaurants in JH, and owned by the kindest Bengali & Middle Eastern family. You order downstairs and theres plenty of seating upstairs. They bring your food up to you. Servers continue to check up on you if you need anything. The food is fresh and delicious, entrees come with rice, white sauce salad and hummus. So far my friends and I have had the chicken kebab, chicken kofta, chicken shawarma, and special shawarma. Can't wait to try other things on the menu. Look how beautifully everything is plated!

Wanted something different than the usual Mexican or Halal offerings in the area. This particular spot has all sorts of food options and seemingly not specializing in anything. However it is open late and no line to order. Looked like the entire staff was making an elaborate meal for a large group of people upstairs (yes there's seating up top). To help them out I ordered whatever I saw available on the heat rack - 4 Piece Chicken ($8.75), as well as some Mozzarella Sticks ($5). Food is ready in ten minutes - mozzarella sticks haphazardly in a brown bag while the chicken is packed in a small box. Despite all appearances, the chicken isn't half bad. Not overly greasy nor dry; decent with some hot sauce. Mozzarella sticks were hit or miss, some were crushed and exploded, others well crisped. All in all, better than expected but still not sure what would be the best thing to order here. If you don't want to wait outside in the cold for a food truck, try this place out.

Great customer service, I was looking all over for salmon around this location and found it here. The front hostess/cashier was sweet and showed me what container the salmon steak came in along with rice, friend and a salad. The place is very clean and the owner was available making sure customers were satisfied with service. Presentation for the to go is superb and the flavors are on point. One can tell the cook loves what he does. I will be back despite the $20 price point because it's salmon and worth it.

A nice place to eat in Jackson Heights. The upstairs dining area is very clean and spacious, was empty when we came. The service was also very good. We ordered the chicken kofta and grilled shrimp kebab plates. The chicken and rice were nust okay, but the shrimp was very tasty!

This place was amazing and the food was delicious. The staff was super nice and gave us the best service. Just walking by, I did not expect much, but upon going upstairs, the dining area was really nice with plenty of tables. There's a window view all around the room as well. I highly recommend coming to this place if you're looking for a bite!

Came here for a birthday dinner. Got the Branzino fish which tasted pretty good. The chicken shawarma was really good. The steak was okay (they didn't ask how we wanted It cooked, it was well done for us). We also got 2 family platters that was also good. Definitely recommend to try it out. I gave it four because they give too much rice and less of the meat and their corn brûlée tastes ehhhhhh. Please don't get the corn brûlée. Sorry not sorry. Nonetheless pretty nice looking place and good food.

The food is great, and the portion matches the pricing (if a tad more expensive). The service here is great and the owners are very kind. I always get the grilled shrimp platter which tastes pretty good.

They start you off with warm pita bread which is delicious. I think you can ask for me as needed. The highlights were the dips and the pork chop with apple glaze I think. I was particularly surprised by the potato one since it usually taste like mashed potatoes but here it actually taste like a garlic dip. The roe dip is still my favorite as it usually is. The pork chop I would get again next time. Tender and a sweet glaze. The other dishes were good too but the pork chop was top tier. The carafe of white wine was delicious and I'd get again even though I try to cut down on alcohol. Only thing that I did not like was the galactoboureko which they did say comes from Victory Bakery. I'd skip desserts here. They give you some Turkish delights which aren't as bad as the ones in grocery stores in America.

If we wanted to get a table in the main dining room, the wait was estimated to be over 2 hours (we went around 8pm), so I highly recommend making a reservation if you plan to go. The staff were very quick with service and very friendly. We were offered toasty bread with some lemon and an olive spread while we waited for our food (which also came out super quick!). We ordered the octopus and lamb chops. The octopus was incredibly tender, the meat was very soft - I personally would've preferred a little more bite to it, but it still tasted good. The lamb chops were flavorful. The medium here is on par with medium rare at most other places, and one of our pieces was borderline rare. At the end of the meal we were also offered complementary desert, which was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed our meal overall, but just know that it's a little on the pricey. The octopus and lamb chops came out to $80~ pre-tax and tip. Would recommend if you're a fan of seafood!

It was pretty quiet inside, outside of the TV playing somewhat loud highlights from the World Cup on loop (why,) with the servers and staff being helpful and friendly. In comparison to the other pick-your-own seafood spots like AbuQir or Hamido, the spices are a tad lighter here, being almost closer to Astoria Seafood, minus the olive oil. I didn't mind, though, as the fish was all fresh and perfectly prepared. To drink, our table stuck with water, though there are a few mocktails and some sodas, including some Algerian ones. They put down some simple bread with a bit of garlic and herbs, which was refilled. For non-seafood dishes, we had a few. The first was the $8 Hmiss, or Hammis, a dip made with roasted pepper, tomato, and garlic sautéed in olive oil. The warm dish was earthy and garlicky, and went perfectly with the bread, with the flavor reminding me of a warmer version of some Turkish eggplant dips. There was also the Peasant Salad for $12, with cucumber, tomato, red onion, and Kalamata olives topped with feta, oregano, and dill. If you're familiar at all with Horiatiki/Village salad, it's basically the same thing, though with crumbled feta instead of a block, and it was refreshing and tasty. Finally, we eventually got an $8 side order of Basil Garlic Mashed Potatoes, which were decent. The first seafood to arrive at the table was the $16.99 Algerian Sardines, which consisted of sardines from Morocco with a spice mixture. The man in front recommended them fried, and the portion was nice, and the flavor was excellent. The fish was fried perfectly, with the bones fried enough that the entirety of it could be eaten. This was delicious, and one of the highlights of the meal. As we loved these sardines, we eventually got a small order of the other option, the "Marinated Sardines" from Spain. These were a bit more expensive by weight, being $10.56 for 0.48 pounds, but by comparison, these were much flatter and larger. The half pound consisted of three large pieces, which were broken down and divided among the group. While I slightly preferred the spices from the Algerian version, I liked the texture of these more, as they were more meaty. I don't think you can go wrong with either, as both were excellent. There was also one pound of Mussels for $17.99, which was available in one of two cooking preparations, Moules Marinière or a version with tomato sauce, herbs, and feta. I went with the latter, and they were excellent, with all of the mussels being open. The feta added a unique, slightly salty touch, with the broth being delicious. They had brought us out some extra bread, and we made good use of it. If I were here alone, I might have this along with some sardines and leave very happy. We also got two whole fish, which were both ordered grilled and butterflied. First was the Dorado, or Orata, for $29.24 for 1.54 pounds. As is typical for this fish, it was delicate and light, but had plenty of flavor. The other was the American Red Snapper, which was a bit more expensive at $37.90 for 1.58 pounds. By comparison, this fish was a lot thicker and therefore, a bit more flavorful. We enjoyed both, with a slight preference going towards the cheaper fish for most outside of me and one other. Another highlight was the Scallops for $37.23 for 0.98 pounds, which came out to 14 large pieces. As recommended, we got these sautéed, with the scallops coming in a delicious garlicky juice on the bottom with plenty of other herbs. The scallops were tender while staying plump, though I slightly preferred the more caramelized tops at AbuQir, with these having a more uniform texture. The rest of the people liked what I couldn't eat, the $24.99 Octopus for around half a pound. The octopus came out pre-cut, which made splitting it very easy. I can't comment much on the flavor or saltiness as some other reviewers brought up, or else I'd be in the hospital right now post-anaphylaxis, but people liked it a lot. If you don't want to bother with the lines or crowds at the other fish spots, I would highly recommend going here. The fish is fresh, perfectly prepared, and seasoned just enough to highlight the natural flavors. I would go back.

I've never had Algerian-style seafood and was excited to try out Le Petit Pêcheur. We were a party of 6 and made a reservation that same day which was great! We arrived and got seated but weren't explained the process. First, you go up to the fish counter and order the fish you want, the amount you want, and the style you want it cooked (grilled, fried, or sautéed). They've done a great job with the display and I liked seeing the various options in front of me. The worker who helped us was super friendly and took the time to explain what each fish was. I also appreciate that their pricing is transparent (posted on their website). So why 3 stars? Once we finally ordered, we went back to our seats and ordered appetizers, sides, and drinks with our waiter. It took almost 40 minutes to receive the Greek Salad and Virgin Mojito we ordered. We had already received our Fried Calamari before that. Similarly, we got all the fish before the French Fries & Rice Vegetable Medley came out. It was frustrating and took away from the experience the fact that we didn't have the sides to eat with the fish at the time the fish came out. We literally had finished everything when the waiter came out with Lemon Potatoes which we had to send back considering it took too long to get them. It's a shame considering all the food we had was actually delicious. The Fried Calamari was crispy, tender, and not chewy at all, the Grilled Spanish Branzino was buttery, light, and delicious, and the Tiger Shrimp was grilled beautifully and the lemon olive oil mix just enhanced it even more. Even the Marinated Sardines were some of the best I've had. The fish was fresh, grilled/fried properly, and we truly didn't have a bad bite here. Prices are also more than reasonable. There's a clear lack of communication by the staff since two people within our group had provided their credit card to pay and they charged both. It's a shame we couldn't enjoy it as much as I hoped because of the operational issues. Hope they improve with time but until then, I won't be back.
