When I walked in the staff was very friendly. They were pretty slow. I assume because it's the middle of winter lol. Nonetheless they helped me have a great experience. The two young ladies made my ice cream very fast and had me in and out within 3 minutes. I went with the sweet cream and cheesecake ice cream mixed together and I loved it. I did not want to get a whole order, not like it and then have to waste it or force myself to eat it just cuz. I wanted to write a bad review 3 separate times, in the past TWO WEEKS. Each time I decided not to hop on yelp after all and just took my business else where. Now it's just getting to the point where my experience is just flat out ridiculous and I need to say something. About 3 weeks ago my boyfriend and I discovered this place, which is only 7 minutes away from our house. We both have HUGE sweet tooths and really enjoyed the ice cream here. The only ice cream flavor I like is Mint with Chocolate Chips (a pretty common flavor) which they had. Well when the second time came around, they didn't have it. The cashier said to me, "We ran out of our Mint flavor, but on Thursday we get our stock in so by then we should have it." So that following Thursday I come again, THEY DONT HAVE IT. The cashier says to me that they still don't have the mint flavor and by then I'm telling them "well I was told to come back Thursday and this is the second time I drove here and am leaving empty handed." They shrug their shoulders and give me another date to where they get their stock in. So I come in on THAT day, guess who doesn't have mint ice cream....... BINGO! Marble Slab.... I leave pissed off.. don't come back for another week... My boyfriend and I went last night again, I ordered "mint" flavored ice cream but the cashier shakes her head no.. I mean is this flavor THAT popular?!? And if it is, wouldn't y'all order more so you don't run out as fast?!? I can't say enough about what fantastic and devoted employees Rick and Calvin are. Whatever they're being paid, they deserve a raise! Every time I come here, the ice cream tastes fresh, the store is very clean, and the staff is patient and friendly. It also seems like the manager really has a good head for predicting what ice creams and toppings to have on hand-each one is fresh and the wide variety of flavors available is sure to please the pickiest eater! Recently, I ordered an ice cream cake made for my boss's birthday party. It exceeded my highest expectations in presentation, taste, and was incredibly well decorated. Very classy job, Rick! I've also observed the manager, Rick, training young employees. You can tell he must be a great father/mentor as he was very patient and understanding while showing them the ropes. Always professional, kind to them, and showed them how to perform their jobs with excellence. I ordered the Mint Chocolate Meltdown cake. There was no shredded chocolate in the center and the edges display was half the amount as pictured. The staff said they do not carry shredded chocolate. I'm disappointed in the behavior of the attendant today. My family has been going to this particular location (Hwy360/Camp Wisdom) for years and this is the first time we have experienced this behavior but wanted to mention this in the event it happens again. My youngest son needed to use the restroom and the attendant would not let him use it even though he saw he had to go badly. We left to another location and my sister and other two boys stayed inside to pick their ice cream. The attendee was rude and made racial inappropriate comments to us and to those coming into the creamery about us being African. I know he would not have appreciated it if we made comments to him about being from the middle east. Disrespectful and even told my son "if you make a mess, you will see what I do to you". I was not aware at the time but he mentioned it under his breath so two of my boys only heard it. Who does he think he is? Marble slab has delicious homemade ice cream. I occasionally take the family there for an after dinner treat of ice cream and milk shakes. It's usually pretty clean and the kid that works there is super nice, but being only one person working there can sometimes be an unwieldy wait. On our last visit, my kids saw a dying insect (looked like a flying ant or something) in the display case between some fixin's (not IN the fixins, thankfully) and when they asked me about it, I really couldn't think of an excuse for why it was there.. and I didn't want to skeeve everyone out by saying something. For my family of four we paid a total of $20. The service was great though. The girls that servrd is our ice cream worked very hard to keep the line moving. So there was no long wait. There were two young ladies working, one of whom was overtly rude, and seemingly agitated. I was not greeted, nor did the employees seem eager to offer assistance when I was ready to place my order. Beyond the less than friendly service experience, the ice cream was sub par. Since the store is uncomfortably warm, you'd think the ice cream would be of good quality. Alright, i've got a mothufuckin story for ya about the girl who has like light brown curly hair with colored eyes, she's a rude asssssssss!!! Typically, because of my experience of working in customer service, i'll go to a store at 9:30p when they close at 10p just because it's really not pushing it. So my boyfriend and i walked in at 9:28 and i was all giddy and happy because i was getting ice cream, duh, anyways the second we walk in, the girl doesn't say shit to us, no kind of acknowledgment whatsoever, i had to say hi and she just gave us the ugliest look, so being me, i went into automatic bitch face mode. Since i have never been to a marble slab ever, i didn't know how the whole ordering thing went, so when i asked her, all she did was give me this look and then point to the board behind her and i was ready to jump over that counter and snatch the fuck out the bitch. I'm assuming she noticed that i wasn't going to take any of her shit cos her bitch face toned down a bit and then she sorta explained it to us. So as annoyed as i was, i decided to just stand around even though i already knew what i wanted to piss her off but didn't even matter because she walked off during that moment and then came back and asked us all rude what we wanted. Not to mention, in the middle of my sentence she got a call which i wouldn't trip about because i get it, it's your job to answer but she didn't even excuse herself and totally did that shit on purpose. At this point, i decide to be the bigger person and just disregard her after telling her what i want and just letting my boyfriend handle it because he has more patience than i. We finally got around to paying for our ice cream and she didn't even say thanks for visiting or any type of salute you'd expect if you went somewhere and bought something. Ya know, typical customer service pointers. Typically I don't waste my time writing negative reviews, actually this is my first "shitty" review ever, because I totally get that some days you just won't get that great service due to bad luck or bad timing. But hell to the no, this girl was a fucking cunt and totally ruined my great adventure of getting ice cream. Don't fucking do that. Also don't be rude to people for no apparent reason.
