I ordered a personalized ice cream cake for my son's 8th birthday party. I went into the store to place the order four days in advance. It was clean and tidy and decorated as you would expect a chain ice cream place to be decorated. Before leaving, I made sure the young lady taking the order had all the details correct, and she did. When I arrived to pick up the cake, it was missing the toppings I had requested to decorate the top of the cake. No problem, the girl working that morning fixed it pretty quickly. She brought it back out and asked how it looked now. I said great, and started to leave, just then I noticed it said "Happy 18th Birthday" not "Happy 8th Birthday." Please fix this... they did and they double checked the order, it was supposed to say 8th. The cake itself was good. A little on the pricey side, and with all the snafus that happened I can't rate Marble Slab better than three stars. I think we'll return and try some ice cream in the future when we can see how they rate for real time service. read more

Be ready to wait in line. We found this ice cream place by chance after having dinner and decided to stop in. The staff was friendly and ready to answer any questions about the ice cream plus give samples. We went twice while in Pensacola and both times waited in line, but it was well worth the wait. The first time we got simple ice cream flavors in a waffle bowl, but the second time we tried some of their recommended mixes... yummy! I can't remember the names, but Hubby had the one with Snickers in it, and I had the one with brownie pieces and cherries. They only have like 4 tables inside and it was definitely too hot to sit outside, so we ran to the car and took them back to the hotel which luckily wasn't too far away, Definitely on our list of places to come back to! read more

Had an ice cream date with my little to beat this heat. Staff was friendly. My little had an interesting combo of mint and gummy bears which she absolutely loved. The kid sized cup is the PERFECT amount of ice cream. I had the regular size double dark chocolate with brownie and it was delicious. They had so many delicious add-ons and options. We have been Ice Cream shop hopping for a few weeks now. We didn't get greeted when we entered and mater of fact we did get noticed until the 3 people in front of us left. The ice cream I had was the Sweet Cream and I really liked it. My husband had the coconut with banana. He said the coconut was the worst he's had so far. But to each their own. So give it a try you may Blume the flavor of their coconut . The ambiance was cute and fun. It was just kids running the place just trying to earn a dollar. Could be a bit more observant & friendly. I probably go to Marble Slab Creamery about every other month on average. The first thing I check is to make sure that my favorite flavor: Cheesecake is available. If not, I'll just stop back by another time. However, I think it's so popular that they always now keep it in stock. Then I always get brownies, bananas and either strawberries or raspberries blended/folded in. But this is the first time I chose something completely different: a Strawberry Shortcake Parfait! I still selected Cheesecake Ice Cream with additional strawberries folded in. Then they add chunks of cake and layer it with the strawberry sauce that is so sugary good! Then more ice cream, cake, etc. You know the frozen containers of strawberries with syrup that they sell in the frozen section of grocery stores? Yes - it's the same delicious sauce!!! I believe I inhaled that parfait in under 15 minutes!! So delicious & so worth it!! I am aware that they also can put together a package type catering option. You select what ice cream flavors, you also select all the extras that can be added/blended in, bowls, waffle cones, etc. I reside in Ferry Pass so I'm much closer to Marble Slab now than when I lived in Navy Point. It was good, but I've had better. They only had one non dairy flavor and it was VERY sweet (like too sweet). The idea is like Cold Stone so you get unlimited toppings to mix in (and they have A TON!) I would definitely come back here and try the regular ice cream, it looked amazing and they have a ton of flavors. I would just suggest adding a few others non dairy options to the mix. Saw this place on our way to eat dinner and I knew it's somewhere I wanted to have dessert from. This place reminds me of cold stone where you choose your ice cream and they mix in any toppings you want with your ice cream. Coming from Hawaii, all of our cold stone have closed down aside from one in the airport but I wanted to come to this place to try it out because it was similar. They had a variety of different ice creams and different toppings to choose from. They also had a menu where you can order from or customize your own. I just went with the usual type of ice cream I normally eat which is a mint chip. So I got the cool mint and chocolate chips mixed in. I enjoyed it so much! I love that you can add apple pie filling and things like that into your ice cream to create your own flavors. I got a scoop of sweet cream ice cream in a cup, with no toppings or add-ins. I have never lived within a 25 minutes radius of Marble Slab and have not had any issues with having to drive there to get ice cream because it is that good.
